Morning all, hope everyone is well this morning.
Had a fairly relaxed day yesterday and planning a very chilled one today too, not going anywhere other than the school run, and just pottering around at home doing jobs and getting the place tidy and clean. My cold is lots better but I now have a sore and puffy eye, so if it gets worse I'll be off to the doctors. Need to ring the MW as well to ask about my MATB1 as I'm not seeing her until 28 weeks and need it for work before then.

Margot - hope you have a nice relaxing day and your cold gets better.
Afm - very tired today. spd kept me awake again plus D has suddenly forgotten how to sleep again. Roll on nap time. Got swimming first. Hope it stays dry so we can get outside again.

Margot - hope your day is relaxed and your eye gets better.
Daisy - hope the swimming tires D out so you can get some rest at nap time!
AFM - relaxed morning for me as I have a meeting an hour up the road, dont have to be there until 10am. Beats the getting to work at half 7 lark! Saw a couple of kicks from outside last night, caught them out of the corner of my eye, then watched for a bit, weird! This baby seems most active when I sit down in the evening, I dont feel much during the day.Bought a baby grooming/first aid kit yesterday with thermometer, medicine drop etc so another thing off my list!

M - funny you should mention matb1 form, I was wondering last night how I et that as after next week's consultant appt I don't see my mw until 28w either. Let me know what they say! Hope your eye settles down.
D - hope the swimming tires her out so you can both have a decent nap later.
PC - Will you slow down getting everything sorted so soon? You'll panic the rest of us into action soon! It's so weird seeing movements from the outside isn't it? The motion and noise during the day probably means baby sleeps then and wakes up when it's all still and quiet, I always notice more in the evening or if I'm sitting still in a meeting.
AFM - 25 hours and counting until scan. I was thinking last night that I could not find out the flavour now, I will because H is desperate to know and it's mean of me to change my mind the day before. Have a works dinner tonight, luckily a dress I bought in New Look a few weeks ago fits nicely now so I'm wearing that. Most of the market will be there so I'll be networking trying to find iut if anyone knows anyone suitable to do my job for a year or so! Hoping the late night means I actually sleep tonight, I normally lay awake fretting the night before a scan.

Margot- enjoy your chill out day, hope the eye gets better
D- hope you manage to get some rest
PC- nice to be seeing the kicks
AFM- went shopping with my friend and her LO yesterday. W screamed pretty much for the whole day and I was counting down the minutes until H came home when I literally handed her over to him and said there you go I've had enough today! Today is starting off a lot better so far though as she's much calmer. Off to a toddler group that does dancing as she is loving dancing at the moment. Not much to report on the baby front really.

Sorry BG missed you there.
Glad you got sorted with something to wear. Good luck with the scan

Margot - enjoy your chilled out day, hope your eye gets better
Daisy - hope you get some nice weather and that your LO gets napping later
PC - nice for you to have a later start, enjoy it :) Echo what BG said though, you are making me feel horrendously disorganised as we have done absolutely zilch to prepare for this baby so far!
BG - enjoy your night out tonight and try and get a good night's sleep, I'm sure everything will be fine for your scan :)
JT - oh dear, sorry you had a hard day yesterday. Fingers crossed you'll have a better day today!
AFM - well I think it will be a miracle if H and I are still sleeping in the same bed by the end of this pregnancy! I woke him up with multiple loo trips, then faffed with the covers so that he didn't have any at all, then when he tried to put his arm round me, my damn V pillow was in the way and when we finally started to get comfortable, my heavy breathing was so loud it woke him up again...oops!
BG - sorry I cant help it :-) its like the best excuse to shop EVER! Hopefully the late night will also keep your mind off things.
JT - hope you have a better day today.
25/04/2013 at 09:23
JT - we all have days like that. I hope today is a better day!
Popcorn - that made me laugh, sounds like a sketch from a sitcom.
PC - you'll have nothing left to do in 3rd tri! Actually, maybe you could shop and organise for the rest of us?

Margot, sorry to hear about your eye, it's amazing how much a seemingly small problem can be such an irritation!
daisy, sorry to hear about the not sleeping, you can see how they've used it as a method of torture before!!
pc, where is your kit from? I'm thinking i need to start a proper list of the things im going to need, i'd not really thought about this.
bg, it's a really tough decision whether or not to find out the gender isn't it? I got myself in such a state about everything being okay at 20 week scan that i didn't think about it too much, but i've got a growth scan on 13th may, when i know it'll be too easy to ask! I'm going to remain strong though i'm sure. I've come this far...
jt, shame about the screaming all day. When my nephew does that i worry that it'll drive me insane when it's my own one.
popcorn, i know what you mean about sleeping in the same bed, if it's not me keeping him awake then it'll be him snoring keeping me awake!
AFM - I'm shattered. Hubs worked last night, he'll be working tonight and tomorrow night. I'm goign to see him briefly tomorrow morning (as i will be at Guides tonight and won't see him before he goes to work) and i'll see him for a short while on friday evening. Then he's going to be sleeping on saturday day at his parents because we've got a carpenter coming in that would keep him awake. It's lonely at home!
25/04/2013 at 09:38
Margot - you rest up lovely!
Daisy - Hope you get nap time as well :)
BG - EEEK not long. glad you have a nie dress for tonight. enjoy then giht :)

AFM - im all good. looking forward toa little shopping trip with mum & gran on saturday...although mums super busy packing their house up to move as should gran be so might just be me :) other than that, nothitg exciting to tell. very boring at the moment but feel great so im just going with that :)

Margot hope the eye gets better! I had to go to midwife last week for matb1 as my meeting with manager is next week, midwife was pretty evil to me
Daisy hope you manage some rest today!
PC how lovely to see kicks outside! Very sensible baby purchase!
BG hope the 25 hours go quick, sure everything is going to be fine!
JT oh no! We've got all this look forward to! Have a good time at toddler group
Pop oh dear! They say sleepless nights start when babies here but they start in pregnancy! Hope you get some rest!
PB aww it's rubbish when your working opposite shifts, H and I regularly do it. Enjoy your alone time!
Twink nice to have a shopping trip to look forward to!
AFM felt fine yesterday after the tummy kick incident. Got a little bruise but baby is moving lots. Going for lunch with a friend today and need to do boring stuff like clean bathroom and change bed linen
25/04/2013 at 10:23
Margot-hope you have a chilled day and your eye gets better soon

PC- how lovely to start seeing the kicks from outside. Your so organised I need to get going on the buying front
BG- glad you found something to wear, fingers crossed you get the answer you want from the scan tomorrow
JT- heres hoping for a better day for you today

Margot – enjoy your relaxing day. Hope your eye gets better.
Daisy – hope you manage to get a rest today and sleep well tonight.
Porkchop – a nice relaxed start to the day then for you. Seeing kicks from the outside sounds so weird!
Bridget – not long to go now until the scan. Hope you have a good night tonight and I’m sure you’ll just collapse when you get in.
Jellytot – ooo, have fun at your toddler group, who doesn’t love a good dance?!
Popcorn – and I thought our sleeping was getting bad. H moaned I turned the bathroom light on a few weeks back (note: I walk to the bathroom in the dark) and that my pillow which is forming a barricade between us gets pushed to his side of the bed. Though I have woken up a few times to find him snuggling up to it! Think he’s missing me being right next to him. Hopefully you’ll settle into some kind of routine.
Pombear – oh no, I don’t like it when I don’t see H for a while. So I normally try and arrange lots to do when he goes away, or treats like Chinese (as he’s not a fan!) You should spoil yourself.
Twink – yay for the shopping trip! Very exciting especially now you know exactly what you can be looking for, it’s when I’m out shopping I think – should we have found out?!
Duckford – enjoy your lunch!
Noodle – make sure you give yourself some rest and hopefully your pelvis will sort themselves out.
AFM – baby must have been having an extra long sleep last night, so I took to lazing in bed and H got me an ice lolly. Bless him he got so worried, I had to remind him a lot of people have times when baby doesn’t move and baby is still fine. But a little while later, baby woke up and was more active than ever! So much so, I got H to put his hand on my belly where I feel movement and he felt baby for the first time. It was amazing watching his face while it was happening!

tempting, but i think i'm eating too much anyway. I end up watching junk on telly and going to bed too late.
25/04/2013 at 13:42
Afternoon all! Wasn't on yesterday and ducking out of personals today, tut tut. It's busy at work at the moment with close down (I'm an accountant), so feel like I've not had time to think yet today! Baby is all good though and nothing interesting to report.
Good luck for the scan tomorrow BG.
Hope those with SPD or pains get some relief soon
Hope everyone else is okay - will be here properly tomorrow! x
