First again, this never happens! Have started getting lifts with hubby as walking 3 miles is now not pleasant! Means I have to get to work super early though. Have today swapped my tight uncomfy under bump work trousers for loose over bump ones - heaven! Poor bump has been getting squashed and is now not! Not a lot else to report, am off to order a jungle theme cot set and mobile from Tesco as they are on sale!

How are we all today?
PC - you just beat me to it, my slow 3G fooled me! We have jungle theme in our nursery, found it very easy to match things too as they tend to be various bright colours. Yay for comfy trousers!
Well, finally, at the grand old gestation of 16+6 I am out in the open! It's all official on fb too. Most importantly though, i'm wearing a maternity dress to work! Woo the the fricking hoo! No more strategically carried notebooks and papers when I walk around the office.
Have felt lots of little flutterings in the last couple of days, kind of like involuntary twitches which is making me think the earlier movements I felt were not actually movements as last time the twitches developed into the kind of movement Ithought I was feeling 2 weeks ago. Either way, nice to be sure it is baby I'm feeling

Pc - over the bump is definitely comfier (sp). We have jungle too but I feel it will all be pink and fairies soon enough :(
BG - Nice to not have to hide it. Don't know how you did it for so long.
Afm - I'm really sore today. Not sure why. Got D's swimming then housework for me. Hopefully nap too as D has been up since 4 refusing to go back to sleep. She's started using distraction tactics like "I done a poo" " need juice" "read more stories". Very trying. Hopefully a phase.
Hi to all that follow x

Morning PC, glad you've ditched the walk. It would definitely be too far for me. The jungle cot stuff sounds lovely. I love jungle animals!
BG, Enjoy dressing your bump! Was it nice to tell everyone?
Daisy, goodness that sounds exhausting. Hopefully she'll give you a rest later.
AFM - My H went to see his parents last night and came back with a random stash for the baby: A feeding guide from 1984 (will be thrown away!), a handknitted Easter bunny jumper (no idea when he'll actually be the right size for it, although it is cute), some mittens that look like they'd fit a 4-year-old, and some Tesco's bodysuits for age 2-3! My MIL is a bit bonkers. Going to try and change the vests for a smaller size at lunch!

PC - I don't blame you for getting a lift to work, especially while its still so cold! Yay to more comfortable trousers! I may have to have a look at the tesco sale, need to start thinking about the nursery now.
BG - Glad to hear its finally out in the open
Daisy - Hope you manage your nap, I could do with one today. I have no excuse really, just struggling after the clocks changing!
PW - Oh dear, in-laws eh?!
AFM - Nothing new really. Saw H properly yesterday after him getting back from his work trip at 3am Tuesday morning so we just had a nice catch up. This week seems to be dragging despite it being a short one, roll on the weekend!
Have a good day!

BG - glad your now free to flaunt your bump! I cant imagine having to hide it that long, I'm too much of a blabber mouth!
Daisy - glad your scan went well! Hope you get some rest today.
PW - we didnt really have jungle in mind until we happened across the storage unit weve got with the jungle animal boxes. Its nice and easy to match and very unisex while being bright and not wishy washy beige! Parents are weird, neither mine, or MIL has bought anything, they dont seem that interested which make me :-(
TT - doing the nursery is fun, makes it seem more real though, eek! Glad you had a nice catch up with your H ;-)

PC, over bump trousers are definitely the way forward!
BG, so pleased you are now able to go properly public, hope the movements increase soon.
Daisy, hope D lets you rest today. Saw your post last night - really pleased all is well and congratulations on another lovely girl!
PW, your MIL sounds bonkers but it's sweet of her to think of you.
Twinkletoes, glad you had a nice catch up with H.
AFM, not a lot to report. Boys let me have a nice lay in this morning, which has made me feel quite energised. Plans for today are housework and baking, as we're on day 2 of proper potty training - yesterday wasn't bad, 3 wee accidents so hoping for less today to show we're going in the right direction. Lots of movement from baby last night, changing from the little tickly wriggles to proper thumps now.

Twink, missed you there - hope the cold shifts soon.

*sticks head in tentatively*
Morning ladies, I think it's about time I joined you!
Pregnancy is out in the open with a few people that I am close to at work which is nice but it does make it all feel much more real now! Currently just enjoying the benefits of 2nd tri with my MS disappearing and having a bit more energy :)
Right, on with personals!
PC - don't blame you for getting lifts now, that's a long way to walk with a bump! Hooray for more comfy trousers too, atm my leggings are my best friend!
BG - lovely that you are feeling movements, I can't wait for that. Well done on keeping schtum for so long, I couldn't do it!
Daisy - hope you get your nap later.
PW - oh dear, sounds like your MIL is similar to my H's Grandma, I sympathise.
TT - not long til the weekend now :)
twink - sorry you are feeling rough, hope you manage to get some rest and feel better soon.
Margot - lie-in sounds lovely, good luck with the potty training!
Enjoy your days everyone x

Hi popcorn hope 2nd tri is kinder to you MS wise :)
AFM well after finding out we are having a girlie we have been buying lots of pink things, it sounds strange but Im still terrified Im dreaming and that this isnt real. But then she flutters to remind me she is definitely there hehe. Ive been getting stomach pains sometimes but no other problematic signs. Boobs are freaking huge and very sore seem to be getting hard too, hope thats normal. Im looking at breast feeding support cushions because I have weaknesses in both arms and Im scared I wont be able to hold her for the duration of her feeds :( Hi to all that follow x

Porkchop heaven on the trouser front!
Bg glad it's out now
Daisy hope you get a nap in
Pw very odd collection of things
Tt soon be the weekend
Twink hope your feeling better soon
Margot good luck with potty training
Luna it's definately real
Afm it's Hs birthday today were both off. Had a busy couple of days with work and finally finished my masters dissertation! Tomorrow is scan day, really trying not to think about it today but in this last week alone I've looked after 3 babies at work that have been diagnosed with a cardiac condition post natally, then I had a 24 week baby pass away on my shift at weekend, was so upsetting at the best of times but feeling my baby moving whilst handling that one was a very traumatic experience. Really hope this isn't a bad omen. Trying to think of healthy baby thoughts

Porkchop- we are going jungle theme too! Only got some animal wall stickers so far but will have a look at the sale stuff in Tesco. Not tried under the bump trousers yet but I did buy a couple of pairs on eBay aptly on so should try them again. Comfy sounds good!
Bg- glad it's all out in the open now and you can wear comfy clothes yay! I don't know how you kept it under wraps for so long.
Daisy- hope you get that nap later and have a relaxing day
Pirate wife- it's amazing what some people find and think are useful. At least they are thinking of the baby even if it is random!
Twinkletoes- glad you got to catch up with your h, hopefully the week won't drag much more for you
Twink- hope you start feeling better soon. I think your body looks after baby first meaning we have to suffer with colds and things for a bit longer than we normally would.
Margot- good to hear the potty training is going well. What are you planning on baking?
Popcorn- welcome to 2nd tri! Hope the ms stays away.
Luna- how lovely to be buying things. I think there are lots of pillows about to help with support but couldn't help with which ones are good!
Got our 20 week scan today ( although 21 weeks today!) This afternoon so excited and nervous all at the same time. Not going to find out the sex but I'm desperate to buy something baby related after! Been busy decorating all week with h, got to gloss woodwork today! Hopefully we can finish the living room soon. We also got a new car, a 2008 Volvo for h. My car won't fit anything in for baby so I'm having Hs current car and he got to get a new one. Hello to anyone else reading!

Duckford- enjoy your day off together. I'm sure it isn't an omen, it must be hard working in a situation like that, but most babies are fine. I'm sure it will all ho to plan tomorrow. :)
04/04/2013 at 10:35
Awww duckford that is so so sad! I dont think it is an omen though. Cant wait to see how your scan goes :)
you too bunny :)
