Another exciting morning here, my alarm was supposed to go off at 5.30 so I could do final bit of prep and printing for the 8:00 interview, I woke at 5, went back to sleep until 6:26! Crap! Turns out in an ironic move, after yesterday's interview mix up, I set my alarm for 5:30 on Wednesday. Just about managed to catch the 6:50, so should still have time, just not as enough as I'd have liked.
Baby wise lots of wriggles. I'm hoping tomorrow's vbac clinic will be a bit more forward thinking than the consultant was yesterday, especially re the pool.

Morning BG, oh dear! Sounds like a bit of a mad morning for you, hope the interview goes well. Fingers crossed for the vbac clinic, I guess the MWs will know more about the actual practicalities than the consultant.
All good here, ended up with a late night last night as Jacob napped in the afternoon so didn't go to sleep until nearly 10pm and was then up at 6.20. Have my mum coming round today to help me with some sewing, then off to vote in the county council elections once I've picked Joshua up this afternoon as it means we get a nice walk in the sunshine. Booked my 28w MW appointment yesterday but will be at 27+1 due to the bank holiday.

BG- it's the worst feeling ever when you wake from your 'ten min snooze' to find you are soooo late. Hope the rest if your day goes smoothly.
Margot- enjoy the lovely sunshine. I have my MW appt booked for this Monday- I mentioned that it was the bank hol when she booked it for me and she said 'yes we are still working- midwives don't get bank holidays' . I always thought they would have just a few working for births but not everyone for general appointments.
AFM- got my consultant appointment this morning. I'm hoping it goes smoothly and they are happy to let me go for a ECS.
Hope everyone has a lovely day in the sunshine

BG- I do that on a regular basis! Turn my alarm off, stay lying in bed because I'm super cosy then wake up half an hour late and have to rush around like a mad woman! Hope your interview goes well and they have turned up at the right time today!
Margot- Have a nice afternoon in the sunshine. We need to make the most of it while it's here!
JT- Good luck for your consultant appointment. Let us know how you get on! Hopefully they won't put up too much of a fight :)
AFM- Not much to report. Had a lovely walk and sit in the sun yesterday afternoon after work and then went and had a pub meal in the evening. I wish the weather was like that all the time! It makes me feel like I can do so much more with my day. I'm getting bored of waking in the night for a wee too. It's something I never used to do and now it feels like 4am every morning my bladder suddenly decided it can't hold any more. Luckily I drifted off to sleep quickly last night.
Have a lovely day everyone!

BG, d'oh, that's a pain in the ***, hope it all goes well!
Margot, what's your current sewing project?
jellytot, good luck with the consultant!
samjh87, i've stopped having anything to drink after about 8.30 at night to avoid to night time wees. It does mean i have to take a glass of water to bed with me because i wake up in the middle of the night gasping for a drink!
AFM - had a blood test yesterday to test my graves disease antibodies, to help ascertain the chances of me coming out of remission when the baby is born. I had to book a return appointment and blood test for september, which is really odd, booking something for after the baby is born!
02/05/2013 at 09:24
Morning all, I'm early enough to do some personals today before the thread gets too busy!
BG - Glad you managed to get in on tim (just!), hope the interview is a success! Glad to hear baby is wriggling lots x
Margot - enjoy your walk in the sunshine. I've got none where I am :(, Hope your not too tired after your late night!
JT - Hope appointment goes well for you!
Sam - I am so with you on the middle of the night peeing. I have NEVER done this, so now to be up at least once a night, sometimes twice is boring me now haha. the joys!
Pombear - I know what you mean. My sister got me tickets to see Sarah Millican for my birthday last week. Show isn't til April 2014, made me think I will need to get a babysitter - scary!"
AFM - Same as yesterday really. Just plodding along.
02/05/2013 at 09:29
Jellytot - our surgery will be shut on the BH so I assume that the clinic won't be running, I need bloods done at 28 weeks prompt too due to antibodies so better to make sure I can get the form done for those too. Good luck for the appointment!
Sam - agreed on the sunshine, it makes me feel more energetic and motivated.
Pombear - today's project is a Tree Fu Tom costume for Joshua to wear to his friends' birthday party on Sunday, with some other bits and bobs if there's time.
Mrs Mack - definitely seems odd booking stuff for after baby arrives the first time, but what a lovely gift.
Off to add my bump pic from this morning to the bump thread!
02/05/2013 at 09:36
Pombear- I am so thirsty at the night that I couldn't manage without something to drink from 8.30! I drink lots and still have to take a drink to bed with me (again.. something I never did before!). Feel like an OAP haha
02/05/2013 at 09:41
Morning all, shocked Im actually early enough to do personals hehe
BG thats poop hope you have enough time to do what you wanted and good luck!
Margot oh well at least you get to see your MW close to when you're supposed to. Have fun sewing, Ive become a knitter lol *old lady icon*
JT hope the consultant appt goes well let us know how you get on :)
Sam Im the same Im sure she is using my bladder as a trampolene
Pom hope the test come back with a good result for you I hate blood tests.
MM isnt it nice to be plodding though?
AFM Im still really tired but enjoying actually putting my feet up and relaxing, hubby has suggested we got to the loocal pool so I can chill in the water and have a little swim (well doggy paddle). only problem is I need a swimming cozzy lol. hi to everyone who follows x
02/05/2013 at 09:44
BG - hope you dont feel too rushed for the rest of the day, whenever i have a 'snooze' i always feel like i am playing catch up!
Margot - NIce day for a walk. I have yet to book my 28 week appointment, its ages between the 16 week and 28 week app isnt it?
Jt - I hope you get what you want, good luck with the consultant, let us know how it goes.
SJH - I love the sunshine too, and yes you do get more done, why is that?
PB - its really strange when you make plans and have to think about what you will do with the baby and they arent even here yet!
Mrs M - morning, hope you are well xx
AFM - I am all good today. I 'think' that i felt a kick from the outside last night when i was laying down to go to sleep. The baby was really active and i am sure i felt a kick on the outside :) This baby is such a mirale baby that I am still surprised i am pregnant!! now the kicks are just making it even more special :)

Luna- I picked up knitting a few years ago! Was really getting in to it and then decided to knit a sock.. worst decision ever. Took me about 3 weeks and I never did get around to doing the other one. I actually don't think I picked any knitting needles up after that!

Bridget – you clearly needed that sleep! How did the interview go?
Margot – enjoy your walk in the sunshine this afternoon.
Jellytot – hope the consultant appointment goes well this morning.
Samjh87 – sounds like you had a lovely evening. I love how the weather like this, can totally change people’s attitudes, makes everything seem better. The toilet runs in the night do my head in, I never used to get up in the night now it’s good if I only manage 2 trips. Just happy that we moved so I don’t have to attempt our old stairs down to the bathroom.
Pombear – that does sound weird having to think ahead to after baby is here!
Mrs Mack – that sounds a great present!
Luna – that’s something that’s putting me off swimming, looking for a cozzy! I’m sure it’d be worth it though.
Poppy Seeds – how exciting feeling baby from outside, I’m loving it!
AFM – we’ve finally decided on some bedding for the cot, so hopefully going to order that this evening.. these vouchers we got for wedding presents (that we didn’t want and have been struggling to spend) have definitely been coming in handy with baby on the way! Just a few more bits to order now and I think we may have everything we’ve thought of so far. Other than that, planning on enjoying another day in the sunshine working on my friend’s wedding present. A button heart canvas – I’ve done everything now really just a case of sitting and sewing the buttons on, but I’m more than happy to do that sitting in the garden!

hahahaha Sam I am ding baby hats and mittens, Im only a beginner so theyre a bit poo but I love doing it. The hat took me 2 weeks between work the mittens originally looked like willy warmers hahahahaha. Ive seen some nice cozzies Sapphire but only in mothercare and they look like you need a bigger bump for them to really look nice. We used oour wedding vouchers for baby clothes and bits, we hadnt found anything for us either lol.
02/05/2013 at 12:37
Luna - yes, very happy to be plodding along!!! especially after the first 8/9 weeks of hell!! Still sick in the morning but seem to be doing ok for the rest of the day, til bedtime when the tiredness makes me feel sick again haha
02/05/2013 at 12:40
hahahaha I was throwing up until 15 weeks so can completely understand hehehe just wish my plodding wasnt quite so ploddy hahahaha x
02/05/2013 at 12:55
Luna- haha willy warmer! I hope you have amended them as you might get some funny looks if you put them on baby like that! I really enjoyed fiddling around but after that dreaded sock I realised that I would rather just buy some and save myself the time and stress! Maybe I should try picking it up again. I was trying to show my friend at Christmas time and enjoyed it.
Mrs Mack- Glad the MS seems to be easing off. Fingers crossed it goes away completely soon and you can start really enjoying pregnancy!
02/05/2013 at 13:12
Yeah Sam. This is what I'm hoping for too. My mum was sick for 9 months with all 4 of her pregnancies, so hopefully I don't end up like her!
02/05/2013 at 13:32
Mrs Mack- Gosh, I don't think I'd cope! I really count myself as super lucky as I haven't had any MS, just tiredness and mood swings to deal with which has been more than enough!

Afternoon everyone, sorry been really bad at getting on this week. Work has been getting in my way and h has been feeling a bit down (he's suffered from depression before) so been trying to get on top of that, although he did go to the docs about it today which is a good thing.
Not much to report here, can't believe I'm 25 weeks already, only 15 to go! Only got 10 more working weeks until I'm on maternity leave , with half term and beginning of summer holidays. Think I need to start writing a list of what I've got and what I need. Baby was wriggling loads last night, h was sitting on the armchair, me on the sofa and we were both watching my tummy move from side to side! It's the weirdest and most amazing thing I've seen!
02/05/2013 at 13:48
Bunny- Hi! I only moved over yesterday so still getting to know everyone. Hope you H is feeling more positive soon and the docs can help. I can't wait to feel baby move but I'm a little worried that it's going to freak me out!
