up early today, scan is at 9am and I am absolutely petrified. I'm hoping I'm just being silly but I'm convinced they're going to find something wrong. Fingers crossed I will be back on later to tell you all that everything is fine (and tell you the sex!) but in the mean time any vibes are much appreciated .
Hope you are all well

Morning JT. Good luck for this morning. Everything will be ok. Can't wait to hear all about it.
AFM day at home today. Walking around the zoo all day yesterday has really tired me out. I need a day to recover. x
30/05/2013 at 07:10
JT - I'm sure everything will be fine, hope we can see a pic!
MrsB - Hope you can relax and enjoy a quiet day!
Got my 16 week midwife appointment this morning, other than that just s normal day at work!
Hope everyone is well xx

JT - best of luck this morning, will be looking out for an update later!
MrsB - hope you get a day of rest!
BE - saw your update yesterday, great that you can still take the tablets, although I wish there was no need for them. Hope you get to hear the hb today.
AFM - managed to avoid the nursery mum on the train this morning, hurrah! Was exhausted last night, in bed by 9. Not sure if it's as I'm coming to the end of the 2nd tri honeymoon. I was the same Tuesday so don't think it's being at work - my office job is hardly physically taxing.

JT hope all goes well, lots if vibes for you. Can't to hear your news later.
MrsB have a nice restful day.
BE ooh you might get to hear the heartbeat.
BG maybe it's the commute as well, at least you had a peaceful journey this morning!
Afm I am finding the 2nd tri much better, as I was so ill in the first tri. I am huge already which every one seems to love pointing out.
30/05/2013 at 08:19
My commute is siting down on a train for 40 minutes, with a <5m walk either side, pretty easy really! Oh well, if this is the way it is at least I only have 3 and a bit months left!
30/05/2013 at 08:32
I'm 13 weeks today so does that mean I can officially join you?! Can't quite believe I've made it this far. Moved me forward at the scan on Tuesday, so feel I've jumped a week!
Jelly Tot- Good luck today. I am sure all will be well.
AFM- Off to have my hair done today and then write a few reports (I'm a teacher) Then off out with some friends for dinner tonight. Going to take LO to the zoo tomorrow as H has the day off with us.
Have a good day everyone.
30/05/2013 at 08:33
Oh and when did you all start wearing maternity clothes? I tried some of my old stuff last night and it is soooo much more comfy! I feel I should wait though?!
30/05/2013 at 08:36
JT - good luck for today, I'm sure everything will be fine. Look forward to an update later.
MrsB - have a relaxing day at home today.
BE - hope the MW appointment goes ok and that you get to hear the heartbeat
BG - I sympathise, I am also shattered and am wondering where my 2nd tri energy burst has disappeared to! Glad you got a quieter commute this morning though :)
V - glad 2nd tri is treating you better, it's a relief to be rid of the 1st tri yuck-feeling!
AFM - saw my cloth nappy friend last night and was nice to catch up. She brought a whole load of samples to look at and some are on buy one get one half price atm so will be spending some time shopping online today! Was awake at 4am again this morning, so fed up of these random bouts of sleeplessness. Not much to report baby-wise, still feeling wriggles which is lovely.

Hi Mermaid, welcome to 2nd tri!
I bought my first maternity jeans at around 16 weeks I think but was already in stretchy leggings and long tops by then. I guess if you already have a LO then you might start showing a bit earlier? Go with whatever's comfy :) Hope the report writing goes ok, enjoy dinner tonight.

Oh hi (pops head tentatively in), after my scan this week, turns out we are further than expected and currently 13.6, so can I join you 2nd tri ladies?
JT - everything crossed for you xxx
MrsB - hope you have a fab chill day.
BE - how exciting, hope all goes well.
BG - good work on 9pm, ....I managed 8 :o)
Mermaid - My trousers were soooo uncomfy yesterday - I am currently browsing potential work ones - comfy all the way! and V - me too! I need some comfy trousers :o)
Popcorn - ooooo where be the cloth bargains (if you don't mind me asking!) this could be my first baby purchase.
AFM - my "telling the boss over cake" meeting, which was scheduled for yesterday, (although it didn't have to take place as when I arrived at Antenatal on Tues - turned the corner - he was there too- so that kinda did my telling for me!) is still making me laugh as the sheer coincidence of it all!

Morning all, busy thread this morning already!
JT- Everything will be fine and hoping to see scan picture later! Mine is less than a week now eek!
MrsB- Take it easy today. What zoo did you go to? Did you have a lovely day?
BE- Hope your midwife appt goes okay. My 16 week one was quite uneventful but I got to hear babys heartbeat!
BG- Yay for avoiding the nursery mum on the train. What disguise did you use today? ;)
Viv- Glad you are finding 2nd tri easier. I didn't suffer from any MS but haven't felt as tired in 2nd tri and have even managed a few nights past midnight (rock and roll I know!)
Mermaid- Welcome to 2nd tri! Sounds like you have a lovely day planned. I haven't bought any official maternity clothes yet (18 + 1) but am going to have to go over the weekend as I have been living in stretchy dresses, leggings, jersey skirts but am running out of clothes now! I'd just wear whatever you feel most comfortable in and not worry about how far along you are. One thing I have learnt is that comfort is key!
Popcorn- very exciting about the cloth nappies! Which ones are you going to try? I really want to go down the cloth route too but it's like a minefield!
Weeme- Welcome to 2nd tri! Lovely to see lots of new faces coming over. I can't believe the coincidence of your boss being at Antenatal too! Did it come as a huge shock to him? Did he take it well?
AFM- Not much to report. Thought I was going to manage the night without a toilet trip but woke at 5.00am. Took me ages to fall back to sleep which I wasn't impressed with. Just another normal day at work today. Hope everyone has a lovely day.
18 + 1

Weeme, was he there with his wife or do you work in a hospital?
30/05/2013 at 09:23
JT – I can’t tell you to relax as I am a wreck at scan time but I can tell you good luck xx
Mrs B – Didn’t get to read many updates yesterday so missed yours about the zoo. Was it good? I love the zoo!
BE – Oh do you get to hear the heartbeat today? 16 weeks was the 1st time I heard it.
Bridget G – I disagree. Office jobs can be taxing. A lot of brain power involved
VLvixon – Being huge is better than I was at your point. I just looked chubby!
Mermaid – Welcome! What you having done to your hair? Big change? I am still in normal clothes mostly now. I have 2 mat tops but I am still in normal work wear. I am just wearing my size 12s rather than the 10 stuff. Wear it whenever is right for you
Popcorn – Very jealous of you and your cloth nappies. I just can’t be bothered with it but I think they look lovely!
Weeme – What did you say to each other?!?! Crazy!
Sam – I also nearly made it through without a wee. Got to 4.30am. Big improvement though!
AFM – I am shattered today. My limbs feel like lead! Had loads of sleep though so can only assume baby is having a growth spurt. Had my hair cut last night, nothing drastic just a good inch and feeling much better now, it was looking a bit scraggly.
30/05/2013 at 09:31
My goodness, this thread gets so busy so quickly!
JT - Good luck with the scan, a bit of nerves before is always normal. Looking forward to finding out the flavour!
MrsB - Enjoy your recovery/rest day
BE - Good luck with the midwife
BG - Did you get the earlier train in order to avoid her? Boo to feeling tired again!
Vivixion - Glad your enjoying the 2nd Tri, so am i, its nice to have a break from feeling rubbish, but i just know it wont last forever
Mermaid- welcome to 2nd Tri, i started wearing my maternity stuff around 15/16 weeks, just because its so comfy and it actually makes me look pregnant instead of just like ive ate too much haha. Enjoy having your hair done and dinner, im in desperate need of having my hair done but holding off until wednesday so that its nice and fresh for my holiday
Popcorn - Im still pondering about the cloth nappies, after looking at the samples which ones would you recommend and which are not so good?
Weeme - how funny that your boss was at antenatal, what did he/she say?
Sam - Hope you get a better nights sleep tonight
AFM - FINALLY got my car yesterday wooo! Annoyingly though got it home and realised that the number plate was not the same as what it was supposed to be and the one on my insurance arghhh, so its going to be a trip back to the dealer this morning to get it sorted. They are useless. Got aquanatal tonight, not been for a couple of weeks due to illness etc so hoping the lovely lady i met there the first week is still going.
30/05/2013 at 09:35
LP- I missed you, i always seem to miss someone! Hope you feel better soon.
30/05/2013 at 09:40
hiya, yeah he was there with his wife, there was a LOT of giggling (we get on very well) and a lot of "oh that explains x,y and z" - honestly - every time I think about it I giggle :o)
30/05/2013 at 09:47
MS- Yey on new car! Hope you manage to get the number plate stuff sorted today. Things never seem to go smoothly when we buy a car either and there are always multiple trips to the dealer, very annoying! Have fun at aquanatal tonight and I hope that lady is there again.
30/05/2013 at 10:07
weeme - welcome to 2nd tri. That really made me giggle about your chance encounter with your boss, how funny! I guess at leaves it saves you the job of telling him.
Sam - Annoying about the lack of sleep. Have you felt any more flutters?
LP - Take it easy if you can today and just concentrate on growing that onion in to a sweet potato ;)
MS - exciting about the car! but annoying about the number plate, that's quite a big thing to make a mistake on. Enjoy aquanatal.
For those who asked about the cloth nappies, I'm just going to get a couple of different types to begin with and see what works for us, then we'll decide which ones are best once baby is here. We'll manage with a mix of cloth experimentation and disposables initially. The ones I am favouring are the pocket ones, where part of the nappy is attached to the wrap and then yous stuff with the absorbant bits. Charlie Banana look really good and the Close ones as well. Also liked the Smartipants ones. I'm going to get a couple of size 1s and then the rest in birth to potty to keep us going. I have Little Lamb bamboo ones that need a wrap for overnight from an offer a few weeks ago.
I'll keep you posted how I get on!
Oh and I used Fill Your Pants - they had an offer on yesterday but it's not there today :(
