Sorry I've not been on for a few days....it's always hard to reply to personals on longer threads with the phone snatching 2 year old about!
Not tons to report baby wise, movements are strong and limbs visible from the outside at times now....never had this with O at all as I had an anterior placenta so it's very bizarre! Maternity allowance is finally sorted now too. Heading to the local market this morning to see if I can pick up any bargains!
Will pop back later if I can snatch 5 minutes away from small hands ;-)
Baby out vibes to all who want them xx

Glad you've got your maternity allowance sorted. It's always amusing seeing body parts - I get feet/hands on my left side and her bum sticking out the other side. It makes it easy to the MW to identify what position she is in!
Enjoy your trip to the market and hope you manage to get 5 minutes later!

Coco enjoy the market. What type of market is it? Glad your MA is sorted now it most be a relief.
Sorry I didn't get back on yesterday. The appts both went ok . The birthing unit have accepted me which is great news and give me all thr same options as someone with no previous history.
We didn't make it out for dinner as I felt dreadful by last night. Full of a cold and a sore throat . :( I've still got it today too so I've cancelled all of today's plans and I'm spending the day in bed.

Hello ixia! How are you doing? Any plans today?
Haha, love that she's doing the mw's job for her Ixia - how are you and my pester baby doing? Can't believe you're only a week from due date!! X

Hi Imp! Glad both of your appointments went okay. Hope your cold and sore throat clear up quickly. It's definitely a good idea to stay in bed.
CO - yay to baby's head starting to engage! Enjoy your day in front of the TV.
We're fine thank you. MW said on Tuesday she is ready to make her exit whenever she pleases - she's in the right position and I've been getting cramps, aches, etc. for over a week now. It's worse than BH's, which have always just been a bit uncomfortable, bump is constantly solid and I get waves of period-type pains all over, but they're sporadic and I can cope with the pain. MW said this was all positive though, so I hope she's not so comfortable she decides to stay put for another few weeks! It's raining today so I'm putting my feet up. I got dehydrated yesterday and felt unwell last night so I'm making an effort to drink loads from now on.

Hi all, thought I'd wait before coming on today so I get to say hi to more people!
Coco, glad the pay is all sorted, and great that you're seeing movements. My placenta is anterior as well, but for the last few weeks I've seen wobbly tummy movements. I swear I'm having an alien!
Morning Ixia, hope the cramps and tightening are a sign of something imminent. Great that the mw is happy.
Imp, also very good news you've been accepted by the birthing unit. Shame you feel rough, but hope that passes soon.
CO, exciting that baby is engaging now! Enjoy your lazy day.
AFM nothing really to report except my neck and shoulder muscles are still painful so not sleeping well. Would love to use some ibuleve gel but I think any form of ibuprofen is a no no, so will man up and just have a couple of paracetamol. No baby updates expected until 2nd week of July when I have my final scan, but have my bump photo shoot (colleague is a keen photographer and offered) on Saturday and start NCT Sunday so will report back on those as and when.

Hi All - weekend just around the corner!
Coco - I'm having these elbows sticking out too - looks very wierd and can hurt!! Good that mat. allowance is sorted - Here in Germany you only get the doctors confirmation at 34 weeks to give to your health insurance to get it organised. That is in 2 weeks - which gives me 2 days to get it sorted and stamped in work - way too late if you ask me!!!! Very annoying.
Ixia - Easy job for your midwife then! Sounds lke things could start any time for you!!! Good luck :)
Imp - Great news that everything is sorted! Hope your cold etc move away quickly - thats not what you need for a birth!!
COrgange - Wow - head engaging is a good sign that things are hotting up!! My boss scared me yesterday saying I was carrying very low!!
Barefoot - Enjoy the bump photos!!
AFM - had another check up yesterday and I have a urinary tract infection so am on antibiotics - I can't feel anything thank God so hope that goes away. Not sleeping very well but thats normal! Counting down the days tillmat leave so I can nap in the afternoons!!
Hugs to all xx

Coco - glad pay is sorted, I love the movements - they fascinate and freak me out at the same time!
Ixia - Not long now! Hope the cramps are signs that baby is on the way :)
Imp - Great news about the birthing unit! Get some rest today and I hope you feel better soon.
CO - Got to love some trashy tv catch up!
Barefoot - Hope your neck feels better soon.
AFM - I had a lazy day yesterday after my friend had been to visit with her 6mth old. I felt awful, really miserable and just could not get comfortable. Last night was hoping for a decent rest but was up from 1-3am with bad acid reflux and throwing up. Couldn't find the right balance of my head being raised up a little and allowing my back to relax. My tens machine arrived yesterday though so might try that out later. Not much planned today other than a trip out to Boots to get a few last bits for my bag, the headboard being delivered and if I can get comfortable I have some cake toppers to make!

Hi Kapowski - missed you there - the night sounded rough - look after yourself. I hate heartburn - I get it even I turn over in bed :(
26/06/2014 at 11:27
Missed you Sue! Hope the antibiotics kick in quickly.
26/06/2014 at 13:17
Afternoon all, hope everyone is well.
Coco - nice to see lots of movement. Hope you get some peace later on.
Imp - good news about the birthing centre, hope you feel better later.
CO - good news, glad baby is getting ready for their big entrance!
Ixia - baby out vibes for you!
BF - hope your back/shoulders feel better soon
Sue - FX the antibiotics works quickly but hopefully you're not feeling too awful
Kapowski - that sounds rubbish, hope it's not like that tonight!
AFM - baby has been a bit quiet of late so I just called DAU and they said to do the lying down thing...as soon as I got off the phone I had a good few wallops! Typical! I will keep an eye out and call them back if I'm still not happy though. Not much else to report, just starting to feel mega tired.
Hi to all that follow! xx

Just popping back to say hi to those I missed earlier.
Sue, when does your mat leave start? Hope your uti clears up soon as well, but great you've had no symptoms with it.
Kapowski, sorry to hear you're uncomfortable and not sleeping too.
Gavi, typical that little one decides to make you look silly by hiding until you made the call. A few weeks ago I was getting stressed about no movement pattern (still don't think there is one) but decided that as long as I felt something each day, I would refuse to get worried. Midwife seemed to think that was fair enough, and it's relaxed me no end.
Right, better crack on with the housework...
