Well it appears I did well buy I'm not escaping it...The uncomfortable sleeps and 52 point turns have well and truly set in! Otherwise all seems fine though. Started the batch cooking in earnest yesterday too...shepherds pie and a chilli made. Just scouring the recipe books for some more inspiration today!
Hope you're all well x

Morning Coco. Sounds like you've made a good start on the batch cooking front.
No plans here for today, I'm just so tired. I did however have a bit of an energy rush yesterday and managed to get some housework done! Baby wise everything seems fine, she's been nice an active so that's good. Sore arm after whooping cough jab though! On a different note, H and I have finally booked a night away together (we've only been trying to do this well over a year!) My mum is having F for the first time in 2.5 years. Im really looking forward to H and I spending some time together before baby arrives, especially as he's stupidly busy at work at the moment.
Hi to those who follow x

All good here - had check up yesterday.... Cervix is starting to soften but baby not engaged yet which is fine! Am enjoying my last 2 childfree days (before summer kindergarten holidays) and am heading to the german version of Boots to buy me something nice.
Enjoy the rest of the day xxx

CoCo - you have made me laugh with the 52 point turns, I am doing those in bed as well - it's exhausting!
WeatherGirl - OH and I are now both off work so hoping to spend some quality time together, although having said that he's away Fri-Sun this weekend on his last drinking event, his best friend's stag do!
AFM - Today, being first day of the hols/maternity leave, I'm taking it fairly easy. Waiting in for Tesco Delivery this morning and hopefully a new maternity dress I won from Ebay. Nail appointment this afternoon, need to sign up to new dentist so must make the effort to pick up the forms. Then home for BBQ for tea. Tomorrow, I will be making a start on my hospital bag. Midwife apt on Tues.
Went to see my best friend yesterday who had a gorgeous baby girl last weekend. She's really suffering from lots of stitches and breastfeeding isn't going well, so she's having to pump away. Her husband isn't being very helpful or pleasant either, I really felt for her yesterday. I'm going to visit her again in a week for so, check up on her and do some chores for her to help ease the load. We're hoping by time I have my baby, 6 weeks or so, she'll be feeling much better to come and visit me, have a trip out as we live about 45 mins away from each other.

Coco, you're at the same stage as me both pregnancy wise, discomfort wise, and batch cooking wise LOL!! I sympathise :-)
WG, time away and rime together with OH seems so important now doesn't it? I am hoping baby doesn't arrive before our anniversary break!
Sue, enjoy your shopping and hope you get some pamper time later x
Alipops, sounds like you will be great support for your poor friend. Unsupportive husbands are not what's needed in her situation.
AFM, had coffee that turned into lunch with the NCT girls yesterday. The one who had her baby early brought him along. He's 2 weeks old but born at 37 weeks and is still smaller than a lot of full term babies I've delivered. Got half an hour of squishy cuddles with him which was nice. Today I was going to go swimming but the school holiday timetable means I'd have had to be at the pool for 8 and it didn't happen.
In other news, hubby ordered our birth pool last night, so it's looking like all systems go! No symptoms yet, but that's fine since we need to get our trip to Glasgow at the weekend out of the way, and ideally also our anniversary break on 7th Augusta. Will be happy when the house is ready though!

Coco - I know what you mean about the 52 point turns! Well done on starting the batch cooking. I need to make a start but am getting an extra freezer from my sister and need a free day one weekend to go pick it up with H! Doubt we'll do it this weekend but maybe next so I can start batch cooking!
WG - try and take it easy if you are tired. Good work on booking the night away with your H. I bet its well and truly needed!
Sue - cervix softening is a good sign!
Alipops - your day sounds lovely. Sorry to hear about your friend struggling and he unhelpful H. Not what she needs right now but I'm sure she appreciates your support. Even a text now and again to check hows she's doing I'm sure she'll appreciate it.
BF - sounds like you had a nice day yesterday. Shame about the swimming.
AFM - had an eventful afternoon yesterday. Went to a local play area with my sister and nephews, and my 4-week old nephew became overheated. Although awake and breathing, his eyes were glazed, legs floppy and he wouldn't take a feed initially. We stripped him off and fanned him down, tickled his feet etc and he came round enough for a feed but still wasn't 100%. She changed his nappy which seemed to bring him round and he was much more himself. She took him to the doctors who said he was fine, temp was only slightly high and just to keep an eye on him, but to feed him regularly. He was fine the rest of the afternoon we just kept him stripped off and indoors. It was really scary though :( today I've been baking with my other nephew which was fun but my back is killing me so I've come home for a rest! X

Sue - glad the check up went well yesterday, enjoy treating yourself to something today.
Alipops - enjoy having your nails done, that's my one little luxury every few weeks! It sounds like your friend is having a bit of a rough time, hope it gets better for her soon.
BF - shame about the swimming this morning, mind you the pool is always really nice early in the day. Great news about the birth pool being ordered.
Browny - your poor little nephew (and sister!) this heat really does have an effect on us all. Glad he's okay now though. Hope the back is feeling better soon.
The maternity dress I ordered has arrived. Quickly fitted it on and I think it's okay. It wasn't expensive so I think I'll keep it as I've only got one other dress that is cool and comfortable enough to wear in this heat. I can't help but feel a bit frumpy in some of these maternity clothes though. Anyone else feel the same?

WG - to be honest I feel like a fat whale pretty much most of the time regardless of what I wear! Can't believe I still have potentially 7 more weeks of growing to do! :/
