How ow is everyone today?
I saw the mw yesterday, she was ok, bit couldn't really tell me much. She did reassure me that everything was normal though and that I just have to put up with everything. She also reckons happy feet is head down bit wasn't over convincing about it, I'm pretty convinced she's wrong too as all the kicks are low down and I feel hardly any movemwnt high up. It's probably too early so start an argument about it though as I'm sure they've plenty of time to move yet.

Sorry your midwife wasn't hugely helpful or confidence inspiring. Pain being normal is fine, but it doesn't really help! Do you see the same MW every time? If happy feet is head up there's loads of time, so as you say, not any huge worries yet.
I'm alone (toddler free) today, woo! Yesterday I got all the newborn and 0-3 stuff out, and have washed the newborn whites and colours, need to do delicates today then starting the 0-3 in case Attila has ingested too much of the cake I've been eating and isn't a tiddler! I also bought nappies, breastpads, maternity pads and Lansinoh, so I'm feeling a lot more prepared than I was. Plans for today include more laundry & trying to sort where the washed bits are going to go (Jacob's wardrobe initially I think, but they'll need a more permanent home at some point.) I also need to make cake for the hendo I'm going on tomorrow. I'm mostly looking forward to the hendo, but I'll be 37 weeks on sat and am a bit worried about being 1 1/2-2 hrs from home, plus walking hurts so much at the moment that I mostly just want to sit down. It's meant to be quite a chilled event though, so hopefully it'll be fun and not of tiring.
Hope everyone's having a good day today, I'll try to be back later for personals.

Imp, I'm sorry the MW wasn't helpful, but she might be right about happy feet's position. HJ has been head down for AGES and I get more punches than kicks, so most movement is low down. I think if head it up you have far more difficulty breathing. FX she's right, but even if not there's plenty of time still. Being head down now wouldn't mean much as babies can still flip breech until quite late (more so for 2nd and later babies, though).
SG, sounds like a busy productive day, glad to hear you're feeling prepared! I had a bit of a shock as I'm in a June baby group on Facebook and the first baby is going to be born today at 37 weeks! I'm still not quite prepared, still not decided on NCT bednest or Moses basket for goodness sake! What kind of cake are you making? Hen do sounds like a lot of work at 37 weeks, I'll be honest, but should still be fun.
AFM, out for coffee this morning, but first I have to run Wispa to the park to chase a ball for a bit. Volunteering in the afternoon again, and nothing else. Now it's getting closer to EDD I don't feel so bad atb have so little to do. I've embraced some daytime TV, though I seem to be watching all the shows about animals and crying all the time at RSPCA Animal rescue. And there's a new (I think?) show called supervet that was on last night. Why do I watch things that I know will make me cry? Anyways, I hope everyone is doing well, we've got a few weeks yet until the next EDD, hopefully no queue jumpers!

SG what type of cake are you making? Mmmmm, cake! I hope the hen do is nice and relaxing for you and you enjoy it, I hope your friend appreciates you being there when you're so uncomfy. Yay for getting more organised!
Wispa Enjoy the run with wispa, and coffee- will there be cake??? Embrace the TV, i fully intend to once I finish work! Although I can't watch those animal shows as they make me cry too, i hate seeing animals in distress.
We defo don't want any queue jumpers around here!

Afternoon ladies. Another quiet thread today.
Wispa- go for a bednest, I have one and they're fab. The Moses basket won't lat the 6 months for littley to be in your room, some babies outgrow them in a couple of months,so they can be a bit of a waste. Hope volunteering is good today, and that you enjoyed some daytime tv, I must admit to having watched some homes under the hammer this morning, I love it!
I've made carrot cake muffins with cream cheese frosting, nom! I've also done a bit more washing, if Attila comes now she has nappies and clothes, fully prepped! Generally though I've had quite a lazy day, but I think they're necessary sometimes. I have fatty yoga tonight, I'm looking forward to it after missing last week with the toddler sick!

Afternoon ladies! Sorry I haven't been on for a few days - just been very busy!
I'll post properly tomorrow and do personals then I'll try and get on more regularly and be a better MD'er!

We are so quiet!
SG, we are only going to be here until baby is 4 months old anyways, so would need to get a new thing for her to sleep in once we get to France anyways... I do like the idea of bednest, though. We'll see. If someone buys us a Moses basket obviously it's out of our hands.
Imp, there was no cake this morning, but I did get bored and ended up making red velvet cupcakes this afternoon. Diet is seriously going to need an overhaul once baby is here!
Ixia, look forward to hearing from you tomorrow :). We all go the super busy periods when we end up being rubbish MDers, no worries!
