VE - How are you doing? Baby out vibes.
N is still poorly here but I had an ok nights sleep. Lazy day today. H is over an hour away today so hoping it invokes the law of sod! MW said I'm 4/5 engaged but I know that doesn't mean much and I'm not feeling anything labourey yet. Next app will be 40+5 when I can discuss a sweep and monitoring instead of induction. Come on baby!
Hope everyone has a good day

Hep - enjoy your lazy day....baby out vibes too!!!
AFM..damm i didnt want to get out of bed this morning......no news really..baby was really active last night so i struggled to get comfy at times..then when i did i had to pee!!
My friend brought me round a birthing ball that she picked up at a car boot at the weekend for 50p! Dont you love a bargain!
Will try my best to catch up later...i always get on again too late to do personals for all!
Hope you all have a good day...
11/04/2013 at 08:21
A ball for 50p really is a bargain Bexy! Have a good day x
11/04/2013 at 08:31
Hep! and it stayed up so no holes! Thanks x
11/04/2013 at 08:37
Hep - Sorry to hear N is still poorly! A lazy day will probably be good for both of you.
Bexy - great bargain, I too had that don't want to get out of bed feeling!
AFM - Feeling quite a bit better than yesterday, gave in and had day off work yesterday as felt really rough, fully of cold and cough, also had my whooping cough jab on Monday so wonder whether it was partly that as well! Back to work today, but I work from home tomorrow so only today to get through. On a good note, despite H changing his mind about names (I did a very hormonal post the other week about it) he has now gone back to our original choice! typical man!
Hope everyone has a good day!

Hep...glad MW appointment went well, baby out vibes before induction/sweep is needed! Hope N feels better soon, enjoy your lazy day!
Bexy...wow what a bargain, I didn't want to get up either but these babies seem to have other ideas!! Atleast it's nearly the weekend!!
Afm.... I am stuck indoors today waiting for a driver to pick up a faulty travel cot I bought, been given no idea of a time and told to be home all day, not looking great out there anyway but still hate being stuck in!! Terrible nights sleep here, don't often have troubles sleeping but been getting pain/cramp in the very tops of my legs/pelvis and woke up in agony about 4 times, need to rethink my sleeping position maybe!? Have my consultant appointment tomorrow morning to finalised our plan and book my section!!
Hope everyone's good and baby out vibes go all wanting them!
11/04/2013 at 08:59
Hep- my useless Mw said she'd do a sweep at 40 weeks until I reminded her I'd be induced at 40 weeks! Can you not have one a few days earlier? Hope something happens soon and also that N gets better.
Bexy- good work on the bargain. It's so grey out today I think it makes you tired.
MrsH- glad you feel a bit better today. And very glad H has come round on the name. My h suggested a name I love and he'd vetoed ages ago last night so some hope!
Libby- hope you're not waiting in all day. Good luck for your consultant appointment tomorrow. Feel like I'm constantly at the hospital at the moment!
AFM- feel a bit tired today, although I had a better night sleep so not sure why. Sugar levels seem to be behaving so far, got to email them to GD Mw tomorrow. Baby was making some really painful movements yesterday. Think he's run out of room in there.
Have a good day everyone
11/04/2013 at 09:06
MrsH - Great that H has changed his mind back on the name!
Libby - Hope your collection happens early so the day isn't lost. Can you call them to get an idea of time?
WH - Good news on your readings behaving. Perhaps the lack of energy is due to the diet change? I don't think I want a sweep TBH, would rather wait and see what happens on its own, so 40+5 works for me! Had one with N and went on to have a horribly long drawn out early stage so want to try it differently this time!
It's wet and grey here but they forecast says 18deg on Sunday?! How?!?!
11/04/2013 at 09:21
Morning everyone, just a quick one from me as I have to be at the cinema for 10 with the kids. Not much to report here. Felt really rough yesterday afternoon and ended up throwing up and then in bed at 7! Had a really restless night but that's pretty normal these days. Hopefully today will be better.
Mw appointment was pretty useless really. I saw yet another mw - I've seen a different one at every appointment now. Is so different to when I was first pregnant in 2006.
Anyway baby seems fine. My pulse was up so she asked if I was anaemic and I had to 'fess up that I've not been taking my iron tablets so I am now back on them. Anyone got any tips for the constipation? Orange juice would give me horrible heartburn and dried fruit would make me throw up!
I also needed to make an appointment for next weeks to get bloods done pre CS which is what I was told to do by my consultant next week. Except they are fully.booked! I went and spoke to the mw again and said did it matter that I had them done at 35 weeks instead? But she didn't know and we don't know why I am having them done! Anyway, in the end we just agreed she would do them then and there and if they need done again someone will let me know.
Oh something else I didn't mention yesterday - when we went to Wales at the weekend we stopped at a designer outlet for lunch and a mooch and I managed to pick up an il tutto change bag for £99 when it should have been £229!! I am a little bit in love with it!!
Right must go, baby out vibes to VE and Hep xx
11/04/2013 at 09:29
That's a bargain on the Il Tutto Morph!!!
About the iron tablets. OJ really does help, have a glass with the tablets as it also helps absorb them and then hit dose up in your indigestion/heartburn medicine. Also get yourself a bottle of lactulose and get used to taking that as it'll keep you regular despite the iron tablets. It's perfectly safe in pregnancy and really does work
11/04/2013 at 09:42
Hep - glad that you had a better night but sorry to hear that N is still poorly. Enjoy your lazy day and lots of baby out vibes for you!
Bexy - what a bargain! I also struggled to get out of bed this morning
MrsH - glad that you are feeling better today, your body probably needed the day off. Happy days about the name, it's so stressful isn't it?! H and I keep chopping and changing all the time and am getting fustrated at our lack of decision making!
Libby - hope that you are not waiting indoors all day. I sympathise with being uncomfortable in my sleep. I keep waking to find myself on my back which I know is wrong. good luck for your appointment tomorrow and arranging your section date. Are you keeping the date to yourself?
WH - good to hear that sugar readings are behaving. Like Hep said, the change in diet could account for the tiredness
Morph - I have also seen a different MW for each appointment. My best tip for constipation is lactolase (sp?). If you speak to your Dr you can get it on pescription. What a great bargain on the changing bag - what one did you get?
AFM - Despite sleeping well last night am still feeling tired. Pleased that it's my last day in the office for the week. H thinks that he has scarred the baby for life as last night he was playing some music to the bump when his iphone shuffled to a song with loads of swear words and in a blind panic he couldn't turn it off for ages! I told him that he is being silly, baby will be fine! Off to Yoga this evening which I am looking forward to as missed it last week. Other than that, not much else to report!
Have a good day all x
11/04/2013 at 09:45
Ferbs, that's so funny about your H, I'm certain a song with swear words won't do anything!
11/04/2013 at 09:46
Morning ladies, still here!
Hep, I hope N continues to improve and you enjoy your lazy day. I was 3/5 engaged so you have overtaken me!
Bexy, awesome bargain, I find bouncing on the ball helps with back ache.
Mrs h glad you are feeling a bit better, I hope today flies. Goo
d work on the name!
Libby I hope the driver turns up soon, that is so annoying. I feel your pain re sleeping, so bloody annoying when you know soon you will be up with baby!
Wh, retard mw, so frustrating. Am glad you slept better.
Morph, what a result on the bag! One thing re the iron then heartburn tablets, the NHS website says to wait two hours post iron to take heartburn tablets as they cancel each other out otherwise. Have you tried spatone? I find it doesn't bung me up.
Afm, sleeping badly and sulking that a friend due on 21st had her baby yesterday! Off out so will pop back xx
11/04/2013 at 09:55
Loads of baby out vibes for you too VE! x
11/04/2013 at 10:23
Morning all and baby out vibes to those in need!
Hep- Enjoy your lazy day and hope N feels brighter soon. Come on baby!
Bexy- Yay for a bargain, have fun bouncing.
Mrs H- Glad you're feeling more human today and that your H has reverted to agreeing on a name.
Libby- Urgh, hate waiting in all day for delivery people, grrr. Good luck for your appointment tomorrow.
WH- That's good that your sugar levels are behaving. Hope baby doesn't bash you about too much today.
Morph- Sorry about all your ailments, what a drag. What a stroke of luck with the changing bag, I'm envious!
Ferbs- Ha, that's funny about the music, made me smile.
VE- You must be getting twitchy now, hope it happens for you soon.
AFM- 38+6 today. Saw the MW yesterday now she's finally back from her hol. Baby is 3/5 engaged and all seems OK so have been given the green light for the midwife-led birth unit. She's swapped sides though, her back is now on my right, and I think this is less favourable so now I'm fretting about that! I'm far too stressy for this pregnancy lark, and don't know how people do it more than once! Slept really badly last night, no doubt worrying, oh dear.
Have a good day all and fingers crossed that Spring really is round the corner :-)
11/04/2013 at 10:49
Hep, hope N gets better soon. 4/5 engaged is still pretty good, hang on in there! Am sending you big baby out vibes.
Bexy, 50p! What a bargain! Brilliant. I love my ball, it's so comfy, though is a PITA as it takes so much room!
MrsH, good news on the name! I'd stay schtum now until after baby is born!
Libby, I have found that sleeping whilst pregnant is soooo much more uncomfortable, and I find it so much harder to actually get to sleep. Some nights it's taking me 1.5hrs just to actually fall asleep. Very annoying.
WH, I've been getting painful movements too, and some *really* strong BH - some that have taken my breath away! He's definitely running out of room in there too - goddamn these GD boys! It's really hard to maintain a decent energy level when you are having to limit your carbs - I haven't found the answer yet
Morph, I was prescribed iron tablets too, though after hearing horror stories on here about the constipation, I decided not to bother taking them and have been taking spatone instead - they are brilliant. Expensive (it says on the box you can have 2 sachets during pregnancy so I have done) but they really do the job. I take them with watered down OJ (can't have normal strength stuff as it sends my blood sugars through the roof - if it's not one thing, it's another...!)
Ferbs, that's so funny about your H and the music! It's only now I've had to start thinking about what I play to C - a couple of months ago I had put her in her cot to play whilst I hung up the washing in her room, and we were listening to music. I don't know if you've heard azealia banks' 212, but it is FILTHY (great song, but my word, what a potty mouth - and I'm quite fond of a swear word!). C was going MENTAL jumping in her cot to it, she thought it was bloody brilliant! H often complains at me when I play her music with swear words in, though doesn't seem to think that watching gangster movies in front of her is an issue?!?
VE, sending you big baby out vibes too! As much as I want this baby out, I daren't have it too early, I know how peed off you and Hep would be if I have mine before you! I did a massive queue jump with C, Mrs Claus was NOT happy as she was already massively overdue :/
Gopher, the non sleeping is all part of it - I had the worst two nights sleep ever in the 2 days before C was born. Hope it's not too much longer for you.
AFM, 37+4 today, which is the gestation that C was born at. Elvis is obviously quite happy in there for the moment! I have some lovely things to do this weekend, so I'm hoping he'll stay put til then, and then I'll be doing what I can to evict him! As much as i don't really want to, i may force H into marital unpleasantness.... Going over to see my aunt and kid cousins today - am hoping they will entertain C most of the day so I can just sit! Am getting a bit annoyed though as the new electrodes for my TENS machine haven't arrived, so he's not allowed to come until they have!
Hep/Ferbs, forgot to say, my change bag of gloriousness arrived last week! I got the pitterpac Warwick in the end - it's sooooo pretty! Effing massive so will be great for the 2 of them.
bluewater 37+4 xxx

BW - I love the Warwick! In red?? Jealous!!! Stay put baby BW at least till next Monday! Xx
11/04/2013 at 11:05
Hep - hope N is better soon. Enjoy the quiet time.
Bexy - I do love a bargain!
MrsH - my arm is so bruised a d swollen from WC jab. Had an ice pack on it last night. I don't think it should make you feel poorly though. Hope you feel better soon.
Libby - get some rest if you are stuck in all day anyway. Ouch to cramps. I had restless legs a few weeks back. Eating a banana helped lots.
Morph - lovely changing bag and such a bargain. Did you go to Bridgend or Swindon?
Ferbs - enjoy the yoga. You make me feel bad. I'm still in my pjs!
VE - baby out vibes my love. Is the race on with you and Hep now?
Gopher - still loads of time for baby to move. I remember Matolda moving from one side to the other all day long. Loved watching the alien belly!
AFM - not much to report. Bloods seem to be ok, and maybe even a bit low pre dinner last night. There doesn't seem to be any logic to my reading. GD MW said my results are looking fine though. I have another scan and consultant appointment next week so will discuss more options then. My previous section and failed induction are limiting my options now I am producing another giant!
My plans for the day have been cancelled so not sure what to do. Matilda's first words in the morning are "Mummy, what are we doing today?" Must get out later.
11/04/2013 at 11:09
BW - such mile stone getting to the point where C was born. I hope to god I'm never 40+18 like I was with M!! Hope you can enjoy the sunny weekend but that Elvis comes soon.
I think he'll always be Elvis to us now. Use it! Or maybe a middle name... ;)
11/04/2013 at 11:18
BW - Amazing choice, I LOVE the Warwick! I am still gunning for the sugarjack Holly in orange (which so happens to match the bugaboo hood colour we have chosen...) but at £329 H is having none of it and keeps telling me to get a grip on reality...He calls it me having a "red mist moment" although he knew when he married me that I had expensive taste in handbag and shoes so why would a changing bag be any different?!
Rusty - glad that your bloods are ok and results looking goos. Heard that the sun is going to shine this afternoon so hope that you manage to get out
