How are we all?. Nothing much to report here, another quiet day for me
Just in case anyone is interested, little lamb nappies are running a sale for their facebook friends, they have their reusable breast pads too, two packs for price of one (wish I hadn't ordered mine last week!) As well as nappy kits x

All good here, just at playgroup well waiting on 9.30 to send madam in lol.
Quiet afternoon for us, will open some of the christmas toys we havent got around to opening yet i think!

CK, sounds like a good day! You putting your feet up while P is at playgroup?
Do you know if Tots Bots do sales like little lamb are doing? I think I'm going to get a trial kit from local council sponsored project to see how we go so not buying just now but the deals seem really good!

WE - I bought my LL stuff in the boxing day sale inc the breast pads! How annoying!! It's great the run sales reguarly I have to say and I'm looking forward to trying their nappies.
CK - that's crazy that there are still unopened christmas presents! There must have been a stack of pressies!! Hope you have a good day.
AFM - not much to update here. Just recovering from the cold. Baby wriggling away lots - seems to have the hiccups on a near daily basis! It had me awake at 6 this morning! Our snuz pod arrived yesterday and the car seat and base the day before that so feeling like we might just be organised!! Eeek!

WE- Hope you're doing okay and still taking it easy.
CK- Enjoy your morning and afternoon playing with toys- sounds fun! :-)
SP- That crib looks amazing, I am so envious! It's nice (in a scary way!) to feel that you're getting organised. How cute about the hiccups, our little one gets them quite a bit and it always makes me chuckle, although I feel sorry for him!
NLH- Hurrah to nearly finishing work!! It feels so good just to be at home and rest when you need to etc, you will love it I'm sure. Enjoy your NCT dinner- funnily enough we are doing the same tonight! It's nice to have a group of people going through the same thing isn't it?
AFM we're off to dinner with NCT lot tonight, otherwise just got to pick up some bits and pieces for the hospital bag- very nearly done, really ought to pack it soon! Had hospital tour and waterbirth class last night which left me a bit shakey - but at least we know where we are going/what to do etc, and I'm reassured on our choice of hospital, it's just a bit real I think!

WE - glad all is quiet for you, hope it continues!
CK - bet your two had so many toys! A good way to keep them quiet for a couple of hours so you can out your feet up!
SP that crib looks lovely. We still haven't decided what we're going to put in our room (the cot bed is too big)...I'm very tempted now I've seen that!
NLH - you must be so excited for finishing work! I really wanted to do aquanatal but the only class near me is in the daytime so it's not possible.
Rose - enjoy your dinner! Our hospital doesn't do tours, they have an online video that I should probably watch at some point. H hates hospitals so it's probably for the best he doesn't have to go there more than necessary!
I'm really achy today, think it's the position she's in as my back feels heavy (if that makes sense). I have my first pregnancy yoga class tonight which I'm a bit nervous about but looking forward to. I've noticed that I feel a lot more 'pregnant' this week, just slower/heavier and guess it won't get any better from now on. I am questioning the sense of working till 38 weeks (which involves a commute on train/tubes that's over an hour each way) but will see how I feel over the next couple of weeks.
People on the tube do seem happier post Christmas-out of my 7 journeys this week I've managed to get a seat on 5 of them which is a record!

NLH - I'm soooooo jealous that you are nearly finished up work!!! Why did I opt to work to 38 weeks again?!
Rose - hope you are okay!! I can imagine how overwhelming that all must have felt! I think that is the reason that most babies are overdue so that you don't focus on the reality of childbirth as you are so keen just for the baby to arrive! You'll be amazing! Well done getting the bag sorted!
Flossy - I hummed and hawed for weeks on the snuz pod as it's pricey but when I was told that the resale is good on them I decided to go for it. I really like the idea of a co-sleeper crib and also not having to sit up in the night to lean into a basket to lift the baby. From the co sleeper you can just scoop them over next to you and can feed lying down. My back gets like yours some days depending on position. It can be very uncomfortable! v glad to hear you've been getting a seat on the tube! I drive to work so the commute is far easier for me rather than public transport - you'll certainly be getting v tired by 38 weeks. It's a hard call though as the later you finish the more time you get with bubs!

Don't know if you remember but I popped on just before Christmas to say hello as I knew I'd be too busy to post during that period. I'm not going to try to do personals today as I've got terrible signal (in a layby). Just wanted to say hi and ask a quick question. Last night I have what I assume were Braxton Hicks every half an hour for 4 hours. Do they make your stomach go rock solid? I had what I would describe as bad period pains, and my stomach kept going rock solid.
Thanks in advance

That is definitely my worry that I'll exhaust myself before I get to 38 weeks and if she decides to come early I'll barely have had a break. I think coming back after Christmas is extra hard after such a break so I think that's why I'm struggling at the moment. I'm going to reasses at the end of the month and if I have to bring it forward work will have to cope! I've only had one sick day since I got pregnant so I'm hoping they'll be quite flexible with regards to working from home or slightly shorter hours.
I'm going to show H that crib tonight, if the resale value is good then that's even better as as much as I'd love to keep stuff in case of baby number 2 we're limited on space!

BLL that does sound like BH, everything sort of tightens/goes hard briefly. I'm not sure re the timings aspect though, although the fact they stopped suggests it's BH and not labour pains!

Afternoon ladies, bit late on for personals but just saying hello!
Anyone else really struggling with concentrating at work at the min? I love my job and am career minded but really finding it hard to concentrate these days!!
09/01/2014 at 16:49
Too late for personals I'm afraid, but hope everyone is well.
Nothing to report from me I'm afraid, have a busy day planned tomorrow so Sod's law dictates that things will be happening by then!
