I've just been catching up with the res of yesterday's thread but thought i'd start today with my responses iyswim.
I guess Jem is having a girl. And MDD is having a girl too. However as I was convinced with my 1st baby i was having a boy - and out popped a girl and this time i was convinced girl - scan says boy, i wouldn't rely on my guesses/motherly instincts one little bit. LOL.
Interestingly, less people are trying to guess with me this time (we have kept it a secret that we know we are team blue). Suppose there is plenty of time for that tho!
All well here. Off for walk around woods & picnic this morning with some other Mums.

I have no feeling this time. We are happy with either boy would be easier as i like boys names and clothes better so prob a girl lol. Will maybe find out at scan but haven't decided yet. Keep changing my mind.
Off to the park and library today.
Hi to all that follow!

I think girl for MDD and Jem too!
Not sure what mine is, I had a phase where I was thinking girl but now I'm thinking boy! Can't wait to find out.
Enjoy your day HF and CK, both sound nice. I've got a funeral to go to with my mum (for a friend's family member) so not good but think we're going to go and get some lunch after so that will be nice :-)

No inkling what I'm having at all and we decided not to find out so it will be a baby but no idea of what sex lol! Not much going on here...

Can I join in :) I'm 14+3 today and moving over from 1st Tri. Really nothing to report here.
I've been told that as I've had no sickness it's a boy, but I am still convince its a girl. We shall find out sometime in February.
Hope you all have a good Tuesday.

Great scan day yesterday!
Horsefan, have a great picnic today, hope it stays nice for you.
CK, we are the same, we change our minds every day!
Bump envy, sorry to hear that, hope today goes ok and that you have a nice time after with your mum.
Afm, the consultant checked me over yesterday and is happy for me to be midwife led! I can't get going this morning and its looking like I will be an hour late for work, oops

Hi little dude! Welcome to second tri ;)

Jem & missdeedee, great scan pics yesterday!!
HorseFan- my friend thinks im having a girl as im carrying high and she is carrying low so she thinks she is having a boy. H thinks we are having a girl as when he pictures the future, we have a little girl (how cute is that!) I thougth girl at first but now I think boy!!
CK-have a lovely day at the park, weather is great here today!
BumpEnvy- hope it goes well today, enjoy your lunch!
Hi Rosy Lee!
Welcome to 2nd Tri Little Dude! That is funny as my mum had sickness with both my brothers but not with me and as ive not had any sickness she thought I was having a girl! Girl does seem to be winning!
Mrs P- great news from the consultant!
AFM- baby was very wiggly yesterday afternoon! H is getting impatient about feeling bump kick. Last night he tried poking it to get it to wiggle, then I put bump up against his double bass as he was playing to see if we got a reaction! Ive explained that even if they do wiggle, its unlikely he’ll be able to feel them yet!
It dawned on me this morning that I only have 3 and a half months until I go on maternity leave! Eeeks!

Oh im getting some strnge movements this morning, think baby must be kicking my bladder, keep getting waves low down in my bump (and occasionally 'down there'!!) its a little surreal and i keep needing a wee, more so than usual!
just been invited to a meeting at lunch to discuss my job situation!! eeeks!!!

How did the meeting go Mrs Bass?
13/08/2013 at 16:06
Hi all, sorry so late to the party! Strange you all think girl....as its not!!
Mrs P glad your consultant app went well. I saw the consultant after my scan yesterday and he's happy with my scan and how the baby is positioned and I'm just to see my midwife as normal until 35 weeks then back to see him and then again at 37 weeks. He said the way the baby is in my uterus he's not got concerns about very early labour and thinks if anything it might be a couple of weeks but just as likely to go full term. Luckily also the baby seems to favour a head down position even now so fx that stays the case so less issue around being breeched.
Been shopping today and ordered our pram and nursery furniture. I'm so stupidly excited I can hardly explain! Lol!

missdeedee- im hoping to drag my H (probbly kicking and screaming) to look at prams this weekend!!
The meeting went well! HR have said that i can't continue in the role im doing Temp at the moment and that we have to stick to the original plan. So monday i start maternity cover! I will be doing 3 days a week (which considering my tiredness, im more than happy with) and ive worked out the finances, turns out it is only £100 difference per month between the 2 roles!
it also works out as i have a midwife appointment and we are travelling to a festival on days that i am now not working sio i dont have to take any time off!
It will also be better in the long run as the mat cover role is a high postition with more responsability so my CV wont take any dips!
Only downside is that there wont be a role for me when i want to return to work, but when my contract ends, I can go in the redeployment pool so hopefully something will come up!

Omg .... Welcome to team blue MDD. Eeeek!!
13/08/2013 at 17:20
Hello to master DeeDee! Good news for you too about the consultant. Fingers crossed he stays in the right position.
Mrs Bass, pleased to hear a happy outcome for your job, not about the no job to come back to though x

Just on for a quick minute to catch up.
Congrats MDD on team blue! We're team blue too. I was sure that we were having a boy, I just felt that it was. Thats mainly why we found out, so I wasnt calling baby he for nine months to then be shocked that it was a girl. Obviously I would be ecstatic whatever we have, as long as baby is healthy.
Will try to have a proper catch up tomorrow before work so I can catch up without coming on late evening and have reems to look at hehe.
