Couldn't see one - sorry if I missed it!!
05/11/2013 at 09:32
I'm fine, very tired, I work and sleep pretty much lol. Trying to organise some things at home, next bout of decorating, some weddingy stuff and Christmas bits.
Started getting more movements again which is such a relief, and 13 days to scan. :)
05/11/2013 at 09:41
Counter - glad your doing okay and baby is moving for you! 13 days isn't long yay! Good luck with the decorating!
Afm yay to 15 weeks I kept on top of my sickness yesterday and only had a small amount during the evening before bed but it soon went! Nothing else to report just counting down the days until my 16 week appointment I can't wait to hear that heartbeat! And then feel movements! I haven't noticed anything yet...
05/11/2013 at 09:50
Counter, I'm SO tired as well! My boss is overseas today so had a cheeky lie in and am mega late for work. But I still feel exhausted. I wouldn't mind if I'd had a late night but I didn't and I'm struggling to keep my eyes open now. I definitely haven't had that second tri burst of energy I keep reading about!
CC - when's your 16 week appointment? Definitely the best bit about it for me was getting to hear the heartbeat. The midwife I saw for it was rubbish, I would definitely say to ask a many questions as you want and make sure they're answered! I have to have the anti d injection, but the midwife didn't explain it at all, I had to google to find out about it!
AFM, I'm very tired! Bump is starting to get a bit achy which I'm putting down to stretching, it's definitely grown over the last two weeks. Still on the side of looking fat from some angles rather than pregnant but hoping it'll round out over the next couple of weeks! Running out if clothes though, I got excited yesterday when I found an old dress in my wardrobe that is actually quite flattering at the moment and should be for another couple of weeks!

Counter- Have you got much left to decorate? Glad you are feeling movements again, such a lovely feeling. 13 days will fl by!
CC- 15 weeks :) glad the sickness is better. When is your next app? I really enjoyed mine.
AFM- I am carles today as MOT so had to get a lift to and from work. Felt baby move quite a bit yesterday and this morn which is lovely.
05/11/2013 at 09:54
Sorry Flossy, tyeped too slow and missed you. I feel a bit like that in some clothes I just look like I have put on weight but in others is an obvious bump. I had quite a few pains lately but my bump is expanding so i think it must be all the stretching.
05/11/2013 at 10:09
Counter - You sound organised! Not long until your scan now.
CC - Still probably a bit early for definite movements but shouldn't be long now. Is that your dog in your avatar?
Flossy - Have you bought any maternity clothes yet? Some are very comfy I'm finding.
Bertie - Hope the MOT goes well. Glad you are feeling lots of movement.
AFM - I had a horrible evening on Sunday as had really bad pains on my right side by my ribs. Totally went on Monday morning after sleeping, very strange. Still getting a bit of discomfort now but no where near as by. I think it must be stretching/rib pain. Just hoping it doesn't get worse.
Can't believe how quick time is going at the moment, not that I'm complaining :)
05/11/2013 at 11:15
counter - glad you're doing ok. Booo to tiredness. Are you manging to do slightly less hours at work?
cc - i'm glad the sickness seems a bit better. hope thats the start of improvement for you.
flossy - i can feel your pain with clothes. Luckily a friend has lent me a load of stuff she had when we were pregnant at the se time last time, she spent far more on maternity stuff than me so it's great! It's definitely bump growth spurt time for us!
bertie - yay to movement. HOpe your car passes it's mot easily.
Mrs V - so many aches and pains when pregnant, it's horrible isn't it. Don't forget you can safely take paracetamol if you need to.
AFM - first day back at work after 2 week half term so a bit manic. We had a horrible day yesterday as my sister had a riding accident and was airlifted to hospital, she's broken her pelvis in 2 places which isn't great. She lives up in the cotswolds too and we are all down in sussex so my mum was in a state. P and i spent the afternoon with her and phoning hospital etc. Tehy are going up to get her tomorrow as she'll need to come home for a bit, she lives by herself so won't be able to manage immediately. Luckily H has managed to get tomorrow off to look after P as mum usually has her. Not a great day and i had horrible braxton hicks again all evening, really quite uncomfy. Probably the stress! Other than that nothing to report pregnancy wise.

Hi all! Not sure if anyone will be back on. This thread seems quite quiet at the moment. Where is Isis? She's not 3rd tri yet is she?
Counter - so how have you got on with your practical/sentimental/beautiful criteria clear out?? :)
CC - Happy 15 weeks! It'll be fabby to hear the HB! When is the appointment?
Flossy - you'll need to get a ticker. I lose track so quickly of who is where in 2nd tri! The clothes transition is annoying but investing early in black work trousers and jeans has been my best decision. So comfy even before a proper bump!
Bertie - Hope it's not bad news with the MOT
Mrs V - that sounds uncomfortable :( Can you believe that in a couple of weeks you are going to be moving into 3rd tri?? How did that happen?? It's true what they say about 2nd tri just disappearing!
AR - that is awful! Your poor sister. What stress that must have been! I hope she has a speedy recovery and that your BH settle down. That can't be pleasant.
AFM - well after 19 weeks of knowing I'm pregnant last night was the very first night I didn't get up to the toilet during the night!!! It's a revelation!!! AMAZING!! I was so excited when the alarm went off!!! Ha ha! I have the MW next week but otherwise things are ticking along very nicely! I'm off to do some mat clothes shopping with the rest of my lunchbreak.
05/11/2013 at 13:02
Appointment is a week today at 2:15 excited.com so will be exactly 16 weeks!
Yes that's my doggie in the picture :)
AR - Sorry to hear about your sister - I wish her a speedy recovery!
Flossy - I hope it turns into a nice bump for you soon!
Bertie - Fingers crossed for your MOT
Mrs V - Sounds painful hope it stops for you soon!
SP - Yay to no night time waking's, Enjoy your mat clothes shopping hope you find some nice bits :)
05/11/2013 at 13:03
AR, hope your sister is ok, sounds like a nasty accident. Are you still riding?
SP - I know, will try next time I'm on the computer! I can't quite believe I'll be 19 weeks tomorrow, or doesn't feel like it's gone particularly fast but 19 weeks is almost halfway which is scary! Yay for a full nights sleep for you!
Mrs V - I had really bad back pain on Sunday night, I was literally in tears, I felt like such a wimp! It was horrible for about 45 mins and then just disappeared, I wondered if maybe baby was awkwardly sitting on a nerve but then I'm not sure that's even possible!
Bertie - hope your car passes! Yay for movements, I'm still not convinced if I'm feeling them but think I am ..!
I've got maternity jeans which are amazingly comfortable! My parents bought me back a couple of tops from their holiday in the US too which was lovely of them. It's my birthday next week so asked for a couple of bits so hopefully will be able to pull together a bit of a capsule wardrobe. Luckily the dress code at work is incredibly relaxed so it doesn't matter what I wear really, so at least my work wardrobe doubles up as my weekend one.
05/11/2013 at 13:05
Also, I had my first real craving yesterday, all I could think about was eating a Belgian Bun! Completely random and I don't really have a sweet tooth but my lovely H went out on a hunt for one last night after work! It was lovely but I still want another one...!
05/11/2013 at 13:42
Ha ha loving the belgian bun craving!! Bless your H for going out Flossy!
Bertie that's great you don't have long to wait to hear the HB! Fab!
Just spent £70 in the ASOS maternity sale (thanks to whoever reocommended it!) so hopefully that will be most things I need to see me through. I bought mostly dresses as they can be played with in terms of different boots/cardies etc. Fingers crossed things fit!
05/11/2013 at 14:25
Mrs V- How odd about the pain, I think pregnancy brings on all sorts of weird pains and feelings.the second tri def seems to go quicker!
AR- Sorry to hear about your sis, wishing her a speedy recovery. Do you think the braxton hicks will last up until labour now on and off?
CC- That will fly by, I heard hb at mine so I would think you will but I know areas are different.
Flossy- Materbity jeans are great arent they! I have decided that I would rather be comfy for work so being more casual. Hope the boss doesnt mind! But thats good that what you get you can wear for both work and everyday. Mmm belguim bun sounds yummy, sweet of your H to get one for you. I had a massive bag of malteasers yesterday! wooops.
Sweetpea- That was me :) I love a bit of asos! I got some jeans from there last week and they were good so fingers crossed dresses are too!
05/11/2013 at 14:36
I am hoping so too Berie - Will be nice :)
05/11/2013 at 17:37
Hi all, I'm on really late today so won't do personals. Everyone sounds like bumps are coming along nicely though :) Mine was a late one and only really popped out in the last two weeks but I've been wearing mat jeans since about 6 weeks haha.
Not much to report from me really. I've started to feel really tired again but I expected that would come after I nearly slept my way through the first tri. I have a mw appt next week and the anti d injection. Flossy - my mw didn't explain it either. I knew I'd have to have it so I'd already understood a little bit about it but when I asked her for more information she fobbed me off that the appointments weren't designed for such lectures. What did people do in the days before google? Anyway rant over.
Hope you all have a good evening. x

LD, it's ridiculous isn't it? I wonder if it's because of the internet that they assume people know stuff or will go and find it out if they want to. I'm (touchwood, so far) having a straightforward pregnancy so it's not as though my appointments have had to be long or complicated so I was a bit put out that one of the only questions I asked wasn't even answered. Plus she'd already wound me up about breastfeeding and been really patronising when my answer wasn't 'yes I'm 100% certain I'm going to breastfeed' Hopefully I won't have to see her much more as I have most of my appointments after my anti d with the community midwife!
05/11/2013 at 18:07
Flossy did they pressure you when you said you weren't going to breastfeed? I have decided that I am not going to breastfeed and dreading telling my midwife!
05/11/2013 at 18:27
I didn't say I wasn't but I said I was unsure and hope to try but I won't pressure myself (which is kind of the truth but honestly I'm swaying towards formula in my head and H supports me completely either way). Immediately, instead of asking me why I was unsure or trying to have any kind of conversation about it she shot me down with 'well breastfeeding is the best option available so...' accompanied with a patronising tone and head tilt as though she was talking to a child. I haven't actually made up my mind but I've decided that next time I'll probably just play along and say I plan to breastfeed until I know for certain and I feel that I can argue my case if needed.
I just felt I was asking the question to be judged rather than supported. But maybe I was being hormonal and overly sensitive! As I say, she wasn't the most friendly or informative so hopefully you get someone better!
05/11/2013 at 18:29
Ah okay fingers crossed you do :)!
I have made up my mind that I am going to formula feed mine... but know I am going to get a million questions why etc etc!
Hopefully H will be with me and he's very good when put on the spot lol!
I forgot to show you guys I joined the Cow and Gate baby club (I plan to use them) and got this in the post - It's so cute
