I couldn't see a thread, weird this late in the day! Are some of you on hols? Having a cheeky lie in?
Woke up this morning with a bloody stuffy nose, nice! Felt more movement over the weekend though which was ace!!!! I am suddenly convinced it is a boy, contrary to popular belief as everyone seems to think it's a girl. I may change my mind though!
Hi to all that follow xxx

Morning LP, think people are still in holiday mode! Are you hoping to find out at your scan? Hope your nose clears!
AFM, had a fab weekend, ended with a BBQ for all our family for A's birthday yesterday. Made even more special with a surprise visit from my grandparents who live 250 miles away! mum had arranged for them to come down but kept it a secret. Meant we got a photo of A with all his remaining great grandparents - all 5 of them.
Little bob was very quiet yesterday, my mw friend was over for the BBQ and I asked her to bring her doppler but she didn't see my text in time, but I knew I was just being paranoid and had probably missed a few movements as I was so busy, and sure enough last night she was having a party in there!
Today I only have A's swimming lesson, if you could all please send 'easy, non tantrumming child' vibes, it would be most appreciated.
Might have accidentally on purpose bouhgt a double buggy on ebay last night...
Have a good day all, even if it's rainy!

LP- Booo for stuffy nose! Hope it goes away soon. I still haven't felt any movement!! Getting a little impatient with the muffin now as I can't wait to feel him/her. I did read that first time mums might not feel anything until 20 weeks-ish so that is probably going to be me! I change my mind on a weekly basis. At first I was convinced it was a boy, now I keep telling H it's definitely a girl. We have our scan next Wednesday so should hopefully find out then!
AFM- Had such a lovely long weekend. We went to Meadowhall on Friday an I got measured for some new bras. I am wondering if my boobs will ever stop growing!? I have a very happy H though.. Had a nice wander around, looked at lots of baby things and had a scrummy meal so was lovely. Saturday was spent taking the dog on a long walk and we went to watch The Hangover 3 in the evening. Sunday, went to a huge park with H's daughter and dog, had a picnic and enjoyed the lovely weather and yesterday was spent visiting family. Just sad to be back at work so soon!
17+6 (why is every week going so quickly!?)

BG- Aww sounds like a lovely day you had! We went to visit H's grandad last night who was very happy at the thought of soon becoming a great grandparent for the 2nd time. Sending lots of 'easy non-trantruming child' vibes and A has a lovely swimming lesson.
I think I need to start looking on Ebay for bits and bobs but keep thinking I have loads of time and in the blink of an eye another week goes past! It's actually quite scary..

LP - lovely that you're feeling lots of wriggles now. When is your scan? Will you find out the sex? I read somewhere that mother's intuition is the strongest indicator of boy/girl! Hope your stuffy nose clears.
BG - That sounds like a lovely BBQ, how cool to be able to get a photo with the great-grandparents and what a lovely surprise. What buggy did you get? Lots of happy child vibes coming your way >>>>>>>>>>
Sam - you'll get your wriggles soon, it's frustrating I know. I'm the least patient person in the world so totally understand. Sounds like you had a really nice weekend, hope work isn't too painful today.
AFM - baby has been a bit quiet over the last couple of days but I do still feel the kicks, just not as strongly so I'm wondering if he/she is laying in a different position so that I can't feel them as much. Had a nice weekend watching football with H's friends on Saturday night, Spitalfields market on Sunday with my friends and then a mammoth 12 hour sleep on Sunday night! Yesterday H was at work for a bit so I went and saw my Mum and Dad and then me and H had a BBQ in the evening. It was a bit cold and breezy to sit outside though so we ate picnic style on our living room floor
Have a good day everyone x

BG - I very much hope their are no swimming tantrums :-)
Sam - I have been really lucky with my boobs so far. Not needed any new bras. Thrilled and I hope it stays that way! Last thing I need is dealing with big knockers too, never had big ones. Might be a bit of a shocl for me!
popcorn - I think they can sometimes lay towards the back. Friend of mine hardly felt any kicks. had alot of rolling movement though. I wouldn't worry x
In answer to the Qs. Yes I cannot wait to find out!!! I hate surprises and it's driving me mental that I don't know already. The scan is on 14th June at 8.30am. I wanted the earliest one I could. If they can't get a clear pic I am paying for a private scan . Whatever it takes!
28/05/2013 at 10:07
LP- I am booked in for my scan at 19 weeks so have a nice early one! I too hate surprises but always thought I would wait.. no chance of that happening now! Mine have gone up 2 cup sizes so far and my lovely mum decided to tell me yesterday that they probably won't stop there, surely they can't just keep growing.. can they!? How often are you feeling movements now you know what to look out for?
28/05/2013 at 10:13
Sam - Not feeling them all the time. 1st was lat week on Thursday I think then once on Sunday and then again this morning. Probably been more but they are very tiny movements so I have possibly missed them. You have time yet :-)
Post baby career change to page 3 girl? :-)
28/05/2013 at 10:14
LP - hate to break the news, but a blocked nose is common in pregnancy. I've had one for what feels like forever. Hope yours is just a cold though and goes quickly.
BG - glad you had a lovely weekend. Hope swimming goes smoothly!
Sam - ebay is great for baby bits!
Popcorn - I get times like that, when things go quiet, but then they start kicking again with more power than ever! As long as you're feeling them it'll be OK!
AFM -raining here so going to get on with jobs and things. LO has her pre-school jabs later, not looking forward to that!
26 + 5

LP- hahahahaha! I don't think post baby boobs will make for good page 3 career!? I'm actually quite fond of my boobs at the minute as they are still in the right place so hoping they don't travel too far south!
People in the office keep asking about names. I think we might have names (we don't agree on many so that helped things quite a lot!) but we discussed not telling people over the weekend as don't want to be put off at all. Will have to come up with a few to throw people off the scent ;)

Hi all. I'm on half term so getting to this a bit later than usual.
LP I was convinced Isla was a boy!! I also have my anomaly scan on 14th it's at 12. Don't think we're finding out.
BG how lovely to be surprised by your grandparents. I hope A's swimming lesson goes well.
Sam sounds like you had a brilliant weekend just the sort of things I enjoy doing. I'm so glad my boobs don't grow too much during pregnancy as they are pretty mahoosive to start with!!
Popcorn so jealous of your 12 hour sleep. Although I get 8 hours most nights I could do with more! We had a BBQ yesterday too and had to eat inside, that wind was cold.
AFM we had a nice weekend working in the garden, trying to get it ready for Saturday as we are planning a family BBQ for my birthday, weather dependent of course. Had a BBQ at mils yesterday. Was great to see Isla playing with her older cousins. H has the weekend off with us not sure what to do today as the weather is awful. Cold and wet.
Still no movement from babyB, I'm sure it'll happen soon. Hi to any that follow x
ETA hi rhian. Hope your LO's jabs go ok x
28/05/2013 at 10:27
Mrs B- After venturing out in to our garden over the weekend it made me realise how much we need to give it a spruce up. Will keep my fingers crossed for nice weather for Saturaday for you! Cold and wet here today too, amazing how it can be so hot on Saturday and change to this today. Really hope that isn't the last of our summer.
28/05/2013 at 10:50
LP - I hate surprises as well but decided not to find out the sex at ours, I didn't control myself very well though...the sonographer told me to look away if I didn't want to "see" anything but I did peek. I feel really guilty now though as it was kinda clear. Think it might have been a little girlie. I'm so ashamed at myself I can't bring myself to tell my H Plus also I could be completely wrong!
rhian - Oh hope the jabs go ok x
Sam - we've come up with some random names to throw people off the scent (H keeps saying Trebor for a boy...) We are the same about names, I don't want to tell anyone at all (except you guys!) as people are more likely to comment when the baby isn't here yet but if you just tell them after he/she is here, they probably won't say anything potentially offensive!
MrsB - my 12 hour sleepathon was welcome as I think I'd had about 8 hours collectively over the whole of last week!
28/05/2013 at 10:57
Popcorn- That made me giggle about the scan! That is exactly what I would do if we 'decided' we weren't going to find out. Luckily H is the same and wants to know everything ASAP. You could still be surprised yet so will wait and see! There are a few people in both of our families that aren't exactly subtle so if they didn't like a name wouldn't hold back. I know I won't care once baby is here so just don't want other people influencing us. Are you spilling at what you have decided on then!? :)
28/05/2013 at 11:16
LP-hope the nose clears. Its so exciting finding out what your having, I was dreading them not being able to see at the scan!
BG-sounds like a lovely weekend. Hope the swimming lesson goes smoothly
Samjh87-sounds like a nice family weekend. Mine appear to have stopped growing now thankfully!
Popcorn-I remember asking about kicks changing and it appeared to be down too position.yay for 12 hour sleeps
Rhian- its raining horrificly here too so miserable after the lovely weekend
Mrsb-fingers crossed for good weather this weekend! I didny feel my first movements until 19 weeks
AFM 26+6 now, when does the 3rd tri start? Went for our 4d scan at the weekend, was lovely to see but baby was very uncooperative would not take his hand offhis face to give us a clear look, little rascal!
28/05/2013 at 11:35
Sam - we decided Rosie for a girl and Seth for a boy :) Also, on a completely different tangent, was it you that was asking about stretch mark cream the other day? Can't remember but something made me think it was you...I got some Bio Oil from Primark at the weekend for £5 a bottle! It's normally a lot more expensive than that so I got two bottles. Thought it was worth mentioning!
Noodle - I think 3rd tri starts at 28 weeks maybe? Not sure. Lovely that you had a 4d scan, shame you couldn't see LOs face though, little monkey!
28/05/2013 at 11:43
Popcorn- It was me that was asking about stretchmark cream! My Bio Oil is literally down to the last drops so have been using that on my tummy and baby oil everywhere else to try and prolong it. What size bottle was it, sounds like a bargain and would never have thought Primark sold this!? Will have a look this week.
We think we are going for Zara for a girl (H's favourite name and won't budge at all!) and Cooper for a boy :)
LP- hope your nose clears soon. I too am very impatient. If we don't find out at the 20week scan we will have to pay for a private one as its killing me not knowing
BG- sounds like a lovely weekend. Which double buggy did you buy? I am on the lookout too on eBay
Sami- last time my boobs stopped growing in the second tri, but then when I got Close to my due date the had another growth spurt and then after when my milk came in the got much bigger! Sorry!
Popcorn- 12 hours sleep sounds like heaven!
Rhian- hope your lo is ok with their jabs
MrsB- fingers crossed for nice weather for your BBQ
Noodle- shame baby was being shy, bet it was amazing to see them in 4d though
AFM- a day indoors as H has gone to work with the pram in the boot.:( Trying to use the time to tidy up.
Two days until our scan. Getting really anxious about it. Have felt baby move for five weeks now but hasn't been getting any stronger , still very faint kicks so have convinced myself something is wrong. I'm hoping its just that maybe placenta is in a different place. Will be very pleased when Thursday finally arrives so I can know everything is ok ( and find out the flavour!)
JT 19 +5
28/05/2013 at 11:50
Sam - it's the 60ml bottle so not the biggest one but still cheaper than other places. It was just on one of their random racks that also had hair products on it, hopefully your local one will have some too. Zara is really pretty for a girl, love Cooper as well - I don't think I've heard it on any little boys that I know and that's always a plus for me!
JT - not long til scan now, eek. I was more nervous for my 20 weeks can as well. The wriggles I feel are much lighter at the moment than they have been and I'm sure it's just different positions that he/she is getting in to, maybe that's the same for you.
28/05/2013 at 12:17
JT- Boo to being stuck indoors but at least he picked a day when the weather isn't too great to go to work with the pram in the boot! I How exciting for your scan! I know what you mean about feeling more anxious this time, that is why I desperately want to feel movement so that I know all is okay in there. Bump seems to be growing though so that eases my mind a little. I'm sure everything will be find and you will be so happy getting to see baby again!
