My first morning over here and i'm starting the thread. I suppose it may help me accept that I am in the 2nd tri now!
How are you all?
14 weeks today.

Morning! Eeeeeee Custard look at you in 2nd tri! Time is flying by!
I didn't get on here yesterday but we had our 20-week scan. I was so nervous after a horrendous vivid dream about it the night before, but it was amazing to watch our baby wriggle around and look so much bigger than last time! All measurements were fine and HE is a good size so far, with his feet on my bladder which explains a lot. He started off the scan facing upwards and then had a good roll around so he was facing downwards for most of it. Sorry if the photo is massive, I can't find a way to change it!
I've also been feeling much more movement over the weekend, more frequent and more like proper kicks. On Saturday evening he was kicking me so hard that H felt it, which was amazing!

Welcome to 2nd tri Custard. I am about 2 1/2 weeks away from 3rd tri and nothing is sinking in yet, hopefully you'll get there faster than me
Tina - that's an amazing scan picture! Congratulations on your little man, glad the scan was all good. Great that your H felt it as well, I think it helps make it more real for the blokes :)
AFM - after my bleeding yesterday I just slept all afternoon. H stayed at work so I went to the hospital on my own, I didn't want to freak him out. When I got home, I think it hit me that I'd actually been quite frightened and was suddenly exhausted so I just crashed on the sofa. Bleeding is almost gone this morning though so am back at work. Got my flu jab later as have never had one and my MW insisted (even though I've not had so much as a sniffle throughout my pregnancy which is pretty unusual for me - this jab had better not jinx anything!)

Custard- Welcome to 2nd tri! I still don't think it has fully sunken in that I am pregnant at 20+6! haha I'm thinking the big move to 3rd tri will make it more real when that eventually gets here..
TT- Amazing scan photo and yey for a little boy! Congratulations. So special that H got to feel him kicking too.
Popcorn- Glad the bleeding yesterday was all okay. I know what you mean about being so frightened, it is exhausting all this worrying! My MW mentioned a flu jab but I said as it is June do I really need one now!? I think she said for me to book to have it in September time if I remember rightly..
AFM- Had a relaxed evening last night. Took the dog on a long walk through some fields with really long grass. H and I spent about half an hour hiding in it from the dog which was quite amusing! I was nearly wetting myself seeing him bouncing through it, he just looked so silly! After that we just went home, had tea and spent the rest of the night on the sofa. Can't believe it's only Tuesday.. booo.

Custard, Ive only just moved over to 2nd Tri too, glad to see another newbie!
Tina that photo is amazing!!! i know it is different for everyone, but when did you start feeling the baby?
Popcorn, Im glad your bleeding has almost stoped! That must have been scary! good luck with your jab later!
Sam if that was me i would have been sneezing the whole whole time and have runny eyes! SOund like you had fun though!
LP- I love Go Ape! Would be gutted it I had to just watch!
Everything is fine with me apar from a bit of lower back ache every now and then, Im going to invest in a wheat bag! Meeting some friends for dinner this evening and had to book it straight after work otherwise I would be falling asleep! Got a big delivery of maternity clothes yesturday which was very exciting!!

Thanks everyone! It turns out that it really is true, there is actually a frickin' baby in there!!!!! Waaaahhhh!!!!! I love how I can see his little face :)
Popcorn - I missed your post about the bleeding, I'm glad you're ok and hope you are taking it easy at work.
Sam - I wonder if anyone was watching you hiding and giggling like loons?!
BE - good morning!
LP - Newcastle is obviously the best place to visit ;)
Mrs Bass - enjoy the maternity clothes, it's fun buying a whole new wardrobe! I felt my first flutter at 16 weeks but then nothing else for around a week after that. Then tiny little pops, or small thumps that felt like one strong beat of my pulse, for a few weeks. Over the last week I've started to feel this every day. Then stronger more definite kicks started at 20 weeks exactly, so have been just for the last few days. Some people don't feel anything at all until this point though, it depends on what weight you were to start with, and where the placenta is lying, plus which direction baby is facing, so there are a lot of variables.

MrsBass- Have a lovely meal tonight. I saw the links you posted over on the 1st tri thread, some lovely clothes there!
18/06/2013 at 10:11
Thanks Tina, I cant wait for this!
Thanks Sam, I planned to just get a few basic things but got a little bit carried away!
18/06/2013 at 10:20
TT- There are a few houses backing on to the field so it is possible we were spotted but nevermind haha I know what you mean about there actually being a baby hiding in there, mental!
I felt a few light 'tapping' type feeling at around 17/18 weeks. Since then I have felt little bits of movement but not very much. I think this is down to me having an anterior placenta so it is cushioning babies kicks? I can't wait to start feeling definite kicks daily, just seemd to make it all even more real!

Custard- welcome to second tri.
TT- that's a fab pic, really clear. Congrats on having a boy!
PC- not been on for a few days so didn't know about your bleed, make sure you keep resting x
Sam- sounds like a nice easy way to tire the dog out!
BE- hi hope you're well
LP- shame you don't get to join in at go ape
MrsB- enjoy your meal
AFM- had the MIL visiting for a few days so she's just gone back this morning. Asked her while she was here if she will come down to watch W when I go in for my CS.
Been finally feeling some stronger kicks the last few days. After weeks of very very faint kicks she has now found the strength in her legs so am feeling it more which is reassuring.
She also did a couple of rolls over the weekend I think as felt like her whole body was moving and then sunk right down- felt a bit like when your stomach goes funny on a roller coaster!
18/06/2013 at 10:48
Sam - sounds like you had fun last night!
BE - morning!
LP - hope the travelling doesn't tire you out too much, have fun cheerleading at Go Ape!
Mrs Bass - ah love treating myself to maternity clothes, best excuse for a new wardrobe EVER! Have a nice dinner tonight :)
18/06/2013 at 10:50
Oops sorry missed you JT
Nice that you've been feeling stronger kicks - I know what you mean about the ones where your stomach goes funny, like you've gone down in a lift or something - they make me feel a bit queasy sometimes! They're still lovely to feel though. When I had my bleeding, it was so much more reassuring that I could feel the baby moving around, it helped keep me calm :)
