Hope you all had a lovely Easter, and ate lots of eggs to help us on our way to resembling an egg!
Bump has been very quiet over the weekend, and when I have felt something I've not been sure if it's baby or not. I have MW this afternoon so hopefully she'll be able to find a hb to reassure me. This morning I have A's swimming lesson then dropping the car off for a new tyre near a soft play place so meeting some friends there to fill the time, then trying to squeeze in a decent nap for A before heading out to mw. I also need to get a birthday card and present for my assistant, no idea what to buy a cool 23 year old though!
Have a good day all,

Hope you all had a good Easter weekend! Mine was pretty quiet as H was away but nice to have 4 days off work!
BG - Hope your midwife apt goes well, sounds like you have a busy day ahead of you!
AFM - Not much to report baby wise, I'm off for my 25 week midwife apt this morning although its with my Dr this time as they share the care apparently. I saw some family for the first time in a while at the weekend and my SIL said that as I'm still small I probably don't have enough water for the baby and will need to get checked at hospital every day so I will mention this to my Dr. Sometimes I wish people wouldn't say things like that, just makes you worry!
Have a good day!

Err, WTVF? Is your SIL a mw or doctor? Or just a psychic with x-ray vision?
02/04/2013 at 09:02
Nope, doesn't work. Just thinks she knows everything as had a baby last year :-) We don't really get on so I try to take everything she says with a pinch of salt!

BG, sounds like a busy day for you, what about a voucher for somewhere like H&M for your assistant?
Twinkletoes, your SIL sounds barking mad, I'm sure the MW or GP will say something if there really is an issue.
AFM, not a lot to report, taking the boys for haircuts this morning then not sure about the rest of the day. Had a nice shopping trip with my mum yesterday and got a nice top in Apricot, not maternity but will easily do during pregnancy due to the style. Getting ready for our charity ball on Saturday too, need to dig out some more tombola prizes from somewhere today!

Bg- hope the midwife appointment goes well and you hear the heartbeat. The little critters do like to make us worry! Not sure about what to get your assistant but I like Margots idea of a voucher. River island is another option.
Twinlktoes- hope the midwife appointment goes well. Can't believe your sil. What a silly thing to say! Maybe she's jealous as you have a lovely bump. It's amazing how much people think they know.
Margot- hope you get to find the extra tombola prizes you need. It's lovely buying new clothes!
Had a lovely Easter weekend but busy visiting family and decorating. All our furniture is piled in the middle of the living room so we will be trying to decorate the room as quickly as we can! Baby is still wriggling a lot. We can feel it on the outside now and saw my tummy move on the outside too. It's very exciting. Just waiting for our scan Thursday to make sure everything is fine, excited but nervous about this! I'm wishing the week away already.

Hi BG, Hope MW appt goes well. I’d get your assistant a TopShop voucher (assuming they’re female) and be done with it!
TT, wow, how out of order of your SIL! I hate these people who’ve had a baby and then think they know everything! If it was that simple then we wouldn’t need midwives
Margot, are you organising the ball? What’s the charity? I hope you have a good day
Bunny, how lovely seeing baby move! I saw it last week too! Hope the scan goes well
AFM – back at work today, first day in our new office so it’s excitement and chaos! My new chair seems to be giving me a bad back already though so I’m a bit disappointed with that. I’m pleased that despite Easter chocolate, I’ve not put on weight this week. Was getting worried at how quickly I was piling on the pounds! Only one week until viability now.

BG - hope all goes well at the MW. No idea what pressie you could get, I'm useless at that type of thing!
TT - what a ridiculous thing for your SIL to say, just ignore her. Hope everything goes well at your appt
Margot - hope the charity ball goes well, have you got something nice to wear to it?
Bunny - it's great when you see them moving from the outside isn't it, I love that bit. Not long til scan day!
PW - that's not good re the chair. I always get a sore back at work and have started taking a hot water bottle with me to try and help the pain.
AFM - passed the 24 week marker now - still can't believe how quickly the time is going. We had a busy weekend as it was my 30th so had loads planned and had family up. My H, uncle and brother got the kids climbing frame built at last. It took them hours and there's still a few bits to do to finish it off. I'm currently sat in the dining room though watching them in the garden whilst drinking tea and eating my Krispy Kreme doughnuts that I got as a birthday treat. Have done most of the housework this morning so not sure what we'll do for the rest of the day. I'm not enjoying that nursery isn't on - I'll miss my couple of hours peace this afternoon lol. Nothing to report baby wise, no appointments until the end of April for my GTT

Ally - happy birthday. sounds like a lovely weekend.
AFm - nothing baby to report. had a very nice weekend. back at work today. not many people in as we get the choice for friday or tuesday off so just me in my room. its bliss. less than 3 weeks til scan date now :) cant wait to see baby & start to feel some movements :)

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend.
Bridget – hope you get to hear the heartbeat this afternoon to put your mind at ease. Sounds like a good (but busy) day you have ahead of you.
Twinkletoes – does your SIL work in the medical profession? Glad to hear you don’t take her too seriously! Be nice to prove her wrong, though. Wouldn’t it?! Hope the appointment goes/went well.
Margot – have a nice relaxing afternoon! Ooo.. charity ball sounds fun. Good luck with the tombola prizes.
Bunny – that must be amazing to be able to see tummy move! Only a few more sleeps now until Thursday, hope the scan goes well.
Pirate Wife – that sucks about the chair, I hope it’s not too bad. Try swapping it with someone else?!
Ally – a belated happy 30th birthday! Sounds like the kids are enjoying the climbing frame being up.
Twink – sounds like a chilled out day working for you!
AFM – had a lovely lazy weekend with my H. I had to wake up at 1am to drop him off at school, just so I could have the car for the week while he’s on a Geography school trip - though by the look of his itinerary – it sounds more like a holiday, to me. They start today at the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa!
Baby has been wriggling around more recently. We finally got around to using our wedding vouchers for John Lewis to order a bouncer and a baby monitor, so looking forward to those arriving. Just hoping they don't arrive later in the week while I'm visiting mum and brother, who told me his gf (a MW) is planning on listening to baby heartbeat. So I'm pretty excited about that - will try and remember to record it for H. But I have been told to keep it a secret from my mum!

Pirate wife- hope the chair gets more comfortable the more you sit in it sometimes they need 'breaking in'. If not is there someone else's chair you could swap it with? Who could refuse a pregnant lady!
Ally- enjoy the krispy kremes! Happy belated birthday.
Twink- I'm sure you will feel something soon. It's lovely when works quiet.
Sapphire- that's a good use of the vouchers what bouncer did you go for?
02/04/2013 at 12:02
To everyone who asked about the dress, I've got this from Picchu Maternity: www.picchumaternity.com/.../one-shoulder-maxi-maternity-dress.html and have big black heels, shawl and pearl earrings and bracelet to go with it. The ball is in aid of our local youth clubs and young people from the village going on World Challenge expeditions - we live in quite a deprived area for young people so these opportunities are hugely important to them.
02/04/2013 at 12:18
Bunny - this is the bouncer we went for... www.johnlewis.com/.../p231303477 We still have some next and debenhams vouchers to use, so have been looking at things there too.
Margot - Love the dress! I went on a World Challenge when I was at school, absolutely amazing experience - because of the school I went to some of the others, their parents just paid but I had a fundraise and got a grant from a local charity, so think it's a great thing.

Hi everyone sorry not been around much just constantly busy lol. I had a nice easter break didn't do as much as I wanted to but was a chilling one. On odd occasion feel baby from outside cant wait to feel movement s inside hopefully not to long now. Getting slightly anxious about 20 weeks scan which is 2 weeks on Thursday just cos of how much they check for and how much could be wrong. But ill soon know either way.
Cant believe im nearly half way feels weird that my life will be so different in sept I cant wait its amazing.
I am however starting to feel overwhelmed by it all. I hate that I dont know everything like what I need to buy I have a real thing where people tell me Im wrong I hate it and get down about it and its mostly hubbys side that will correct me and I hate it I hate the fact I dont know everything and cos its my first n people tell me im wrong I just then feel so young n small .... pfft sorry this has turned into a little rant. So sorry just ignore me.
Hopefully everyone is well and im back to normal shifts now so should be able to come on here more x

Think I will get her a voucher, will try to pick one up on the way to work in the morning.
Back from mw and all good, little monkey kept darting away when she tried to find the hb, but eventually it gave up and seemed perfectly happy in there. Don't see her again until 28 weeks which seems mad, but I do see consultant at 20 weeks.
Margot -- I know I've seen it before, but I love that dress, you must get a photo of you all glommed up on Saturday.
Bunny - hope Thursday is here before you know it. Are you hoping to find out if it's.a girl or boy?
PW - don't suffer in silence, you should make sure they adjust or change the chair.
Ally / I saw the climbing frame on fb, it looks amazing, I bet the kids will love it!
Twink - hope you're having a nice easy day
Sapphire - how handy having a me in the family. My best friend is one too and it's so useful having her at the end of the phone.
Boris - everyone has to start somewhere, try to take the armfuls of 'advice' you're offered with a pinch of salt, do your own research and make well informed decisions and you'll be just fine. You'll soon learn the nod and smile technique ;-)
