Back to work today, sad times.
Happy 18 weeks, good times! Yay!
I hope everyone is well.

Morning Imp! Boo to being back to work, but yay to 18 weeks for you!
I have nothing much to report - we saw FIL late yesterday afternoon and luckily by then the worst of the weather had passed. FIL's partner gave me a free much-needed haircut (she's my hairdresser anyway but I usually pay a discounted price).
Day off with H today and we've got no plans :)

Morning Imp and everyone else :) Happy 18wks yeehaa :) I hope you have a good day, well as good as can be being at work ha!
Ixia - its nice to get your hair done, I had mine done a couple of weeks ago a cut and a couple more colours running through :) Plus I don't have to pay as my sister is a hair stylist hehe. Mm day off, I'm sure you can squeeze some shopping in there somewhere and a lunch yum ;-)
AFM - been feeling sick constantly and yup I still have the horrid taste in my mouth and I was sick last Thursday just before leaving for work in the morning :( I keep hoping it will get better then I feel a wiggle from him and I remember what this is all about, nothing beats that :) We went shopping/looking at pram systems at the weekend with my folks as they are adamant they want to buy us the set. I really liked the Concorde Neo online but in reality the hood didn't seem that strong and one on demo already had a hole in it and it was flimsy. We looked at the Silver Cross, not what we would have, but the pram/buggy is so sturdy and a great trustworthy make, have to buy the car seat and Isofix separately though. I think we may go for that, but we will have another look and see what else we like, we were in the shop for 3hrs! Blimey, how the time goes looking at stuff. Off to Cambridge on Friday for more shopping and a meal and it will be my birthday too :)
Hi to all who follow and hope you all have good Tuesdays xx

Imp - Yay! Sweet potato! :)
Ixia - Day off sounds lovely, Enjoy.
Leelee - 3 hours! Wow! That is dedication!
AFM - Not a lot to report. On countdown for my 20 weeks scan now!
04/02/2014 at 08:55
Ixia glad you saw your FIl and the weather is now ok.
Ixia booo to feeling sick and the horrid taste. How strange that it is still lingering on. I hope you get some respite from it soo.
Pep I am on countdown too, when is yours? Onion!!!!!!!
04/02/2014 at 09:09
Its 25th Imp, when is yours?! x
04/02/2014 at 09:17
Mine is the 18th, 2 weeks today? Is that right?
04/02/2014 at 09:31
Yep! Your 2 and I'm 3! :) Will you start planning everything - nursery etc after this scan?
04/02/2014 at 09:32
That's the plan Pep.
I have cleared it out now and I have put the furniture on ebay, so hopefully in a fortnight I will have an empty room ready to start! EEEEEK!!!
04/02/2014 at 09:38
How blooming exciting! You're not finding out the sex either are you? I think we will be buying our nursery furniture next week :-| I'd prefer to wait but its on discount until the 12th so think we will just order / hold fire on delivery until after the scan. We aren't really 'decorating' until baby is here though - H wants to make it more gender specific, and I don't want to find out the sex, so think we will be doing it once its here! I'm hoping family will help ;) I'll generally start buying more - well, nursery furniture and pram, then I'll probably start really buying after 24 weeks. I just have all these dates in my head of when its OK to start believing it all.
04/02/2014 at 09:48
I'm the same Pep, I don't want too much stuff around just in case. After 20 weeks I think we'll start on the nursery furniture and then the pram in March as the new idandy is out then.
Saying that, I bought some tiny babygrows after my scan last week, to sort of celebrate getting this far.
We're not gooing to find out the sex, we want a surprise.
04/02/2014 at 09:51
Imp - I've got some babygrows too... Oops! One was a gift and the other 3 I got off Ebay - new and much cheaper! 2 of them are 'I love Grandma' and 'I love Grandad' which I just couldn't resist. Its the first grandchild on my side, so my parents are super excited! We aren't finding out either - think H would if I didn't feel so strongly about it. Is it more of a mutual decision for you and your H?
04/02/2014 at 09:53
It's my H really, he feels really strongly about it. I could be convinced either wat tbh.
The ONLY reason i want to know is so that I can spend more money on really cute outfits and as that's such a superficial reason I have agreed to not find out!
04/02/2014 at 10:00
Imp, I hope work is alright today. Take lots of tea breaks :)
Ixia, glad the weather didn't change your loans after all. Did you drastically change your hair?
LL, I love pram shopping! I definitely agree that sometimes you like something online and then just find out it's not worth the money in person. I used to like the icandy prams online, but when I tried them in store the hood made this clicking sounds when going up and down that really bugged me!
Pep and imp both, so exciting counting down to scans and nursery decorating! I'm also counting down to decorating the nursery, but just because we don't have one yet
AFM, scan went well, baby's heart is perfect and she is still a girl. And it was more convincing as the sonographer pointed out the labia, so all fine and good on that point, she is measuring exactly 23wks on head circumference and femur length, but 23wk4d on abdominal circumference, so she's getting podgy in there . It was so cute, though, I saw her rubbing her eyes and YAWNING! Oh, and it have been confirmed that the placenta is anterior and fairly high up, which explains the lack of movement until last week and why I'm mostly feeling her kicking/punching my cervix and bladder. Fun! No house news yet, really hoping to get things done today!
Imp - I think its doing me good not finding out - its saving me money for the same reasons you have said! Ha! Whenever someone says about finding out I see ££££ signs in my head and think how lethal it could be! Lol!

Wispa - Lovely update! So exciting!
04/02/2014 at 10:10
Imp - yay to 18 weeks. How's the first day back at work going?
Ixia - free haircut! Awesome. H's sister is a hairdresser so I normally get mine free but have to wait til we see her which can be months. Glad you got to see family too. Has the weather calmed down?
Leelee - sorry you;re still feeling rough. Hopefully pram shopping will sort that. I agree you have to go see them in flesh though. There's such a massive difference compared to what some look like online.
Pep - oooh not long til the scan! I think decorating the nursey will make it seem more real too but I do like the idea of waiting until the baby's here.
Wispa - oh how fab that you saw her yawning! Good news it's still a girl haha. Hoping this house business gets a move on so you can start decorating too.
AFM - my consultant appointment was yesterday. Not bad news but not good news. I'm meeting the cardiologist in the next couple of weeks to discuss but the ob said it's likely that I may not be able to have a natural birth as the labour may put too much stress on my heart and if I get any long episodes of arrythmia or tachycardia then I might need to be admitted on a drip. I'm guessing these are worst case scenarios and can ask lots of questions when I see the heart man. Bit gutted I might not get the birth I want but I'm pleased theyre doing something for me! H is getting carried away with himself thinking I might die now but I'm sure I'm not a special case and they see women like me all the time. A quick google shows some women do have natural births so it just depends on how my heart behaves over the next 6ish months!
Hi to those that follow
04/02/2014 at 10:41
hate to post and run and not do personals but need some reassurance - last night, i woke up at 2am and my bump was ice cold to the touch, the rest of me was fairly hot as i'd fallen asleep in H's hoodie as well as pjs and quilt. I tried to think nothing of it and went back to bed, at 5am i woke up again and it was still ice cold. I havent felt her move for a while either. I'd say last movement was last night at about 9pmish so we've gone over 12 hours now with nada. My bump is still cold to the touch now even though i'm not and its under three layers, I've eaten breakfast at about 9am so was hoping to start feeling some movement of her waking up but nothing. I had an ice cold drink at 10am so hopefully within the next hour i feel something but I'm scared. If nothing by 12 what do i do? I know an ice cold bump would probably be nothing to worry about but when its all you've thought about since 2am your mind can run away with you! I'm 22 + 6 by the way.
04/02/2014 at 10:53
Wishful - I'd give your midwife / GP a call, better that than worry about it. xx
04/02/2014 at 10:56
WW I would call fetal assemen/ midwife on call t and speak to them. I bet they'll just ask you to pop in to see them to check everything ios ok.
Wispa great news.
Joenesy- work is ok, I suppose! Is it not July yet?
