Morning all, hope everyone is well this morning.
Long day yesterday with a meeting until gone 8 at work, but a good night's sleep has made the world of difference and my appendix scar pain is a lot better today so hoping for a good day. Mostly babysitting Yr5 and Yr6 today whilst the others do SATs so nothing too taxing!
I was asked by a yr 5 boy yesterday 'Miss, are you pregnant?' which made me laugh, it's pretty obvious by now!

Morning Margot. Bless that little yr 5 boy! Glad your scar isn't hurting as much today. I did read the thread yesterday but it was far too long for me to reply with personals. Enjoy your day
AFM busy day at work yesterday. Was pretty tired last night but I did have a good nights sleep too. I think my bump is starting to make an appearance. I always start popping out quite high up, I did with Isla. It's fine when I'm standing up but sitting down I just look chubby! Off out for lunch at a friends later. Hi to everyone else. Have a good day x

Margot- glad the scar pain is better today. Hope you have a nice quiet day.
MrsB- Im yet to properly notice a bump on me but yesterday i couldn't do up my trousers so spent the whole day at work with them undone.
AFM- Just chilling today, need to get the house looking respectable again. Might get a bit more of my knitting done.

Morning all, Hola from the Costa Del Cloud
M - glad scar pain has eased, enjoy your 'Friday'
MrsB - I'm sure it'll well and truly pop soon. Enjoy your lunch.
AFM - day 3 of our little holiday an we can finally see further than the end of the garden! It's been so cloudy the last couple of days and what with being up in the mountains means we've been in the clouds. It was slightly better yesterday so we headed down to the coast where it was a bit brighter - managed to burn my arms :-s
Not sure what the plans are today, FIL and his wife don't get up til gone 10 (yes, even when they have guests...) so getting out anywhere before lunchtime is fairly unlikely, although tomorrow they have a doc appt at 11 on the coast so we will follow them down and there is a festival at one of the coastal towns we're planning in going to.
Rain is meant to set in from Thursday
Apart from the weather having good time though!
Nothing to report bump wise, other than H spotted bump moving from the outside.

Margot- glad your scar pain is easing
MrsB- I hate the inbetween stage when you are bigger but its not an obvious bump, nice that its starting to make an appearance for you
MS- enjoy your chill out day
BG- hope the weather improves, sounds like a nice relaxing break anyway though.
AFM- had a dream last night we went for the scan and found out it was a boy and I was really disappointed. Need to start talking myself round to the idea of a boy incase it comes true in a fortnight!
14/05/2013 at 08:43
Margot - arrr bless him!
Mrs B - glad you're getting bumpy.
mummysimpson - enjoy your day chilling :)
BG - hope the weather gets better. glad you are having a nice time though :)
Jellytot - i practised my "im not too dissapointed honest" face in case it was a boy. i practised it so much i'd conviced my self it was a boy and cried when it was a girl haha.
AFM - back is already started to hurt though. feeling a bit rubbishy generally. need to get happier again. noothing particular just a bit blue this week. im sure it'll go :) baby was wriggling lots yesterday. booking Friday off work as holiday so i have a shorter week.

Hello all and hello to all that follow
Margot - Bless that little boy :-) Glad the scar pain is improving
Mrs B - Have a nice lunch x
Mummy S - Don't do too much. What are you knitting? Wish I could knit!
Bridget G - 10am! With guests! I just couldn't do it! Hope you are having a nice break though
Jellytot - Boys are cute too! Especially when they have older sisters :-) My god children are older girl and little brother. They play nice together and I think J is a lovely boy for having a strong female influence.
Twink - You are allowed an off week, blame it on the hormones :-)
AFM - Gearing up for the weekend already, it's my sister's hen do. We have a house booked in Wales for Friday and Saturday with lunch out, games, pyjama party etc. It's been really stressful for me to organise but glad it's nearly here! Still a bit to do so i am off Friday.
14/05/2013 at 09:08
Margot- Glad your scar pain seems better today and have a nice easy day fingers crossed!
MrsB-My bump is slowing coming along too! It seems to spread around my middle more when I sit down but when I'm standing it looks a lot more 'baby bump'-ish!
MS- My trousers were becoming tight a few weeks ago and I couldn't stand being uncomfortable any more so it seems I am living in jersey at the minute! Jersey skirts, jersey dresses. Anything stretchy is a winner! haha. What are you knitting at the minute?
BG- Hola! Hope the weather is better you you today and cover those arms up! Don't want them getting any more burnt. Glad you are having a good time and the weather hasn't been too great here either so you are definitely not missing anything!
JT- Not long until you find out! Our scan is 3 weeks tomorrow.. I was convinced I would have liked a boy but since H's daughter has told us 'But it ISN'T a BOY!' when we told her it could be a possibility I think having a girl would be a lot easier now! haha Not long until we find out (if the babies are behaving!).
Twink- I hope the blue mood passes quickly :) yey to booking Friday off. Long weekends are the best!
AFM- Not a lot to report. H and I have been looking at moving recently and need to decide what we are doing sharpish as we want to get everything sorted before baby arrives. Feels like it is all going so fast already that everytime I blink another week is gone! Come the end of the week we should have decided on what is best and hopefull be able to make some movement on things in the next coming months. Hope everyone has a lovely day!
JT - I had the same dreams about a girl in the lead up to the scan. We found out we are having a girl and 2.5 weeks on are getting over the shock and used to the idea, I'm very glad we did find out though. It's so hard when you do have a preference, have a big hug and know either way it'll all work out x
14/05/2013 at 09:10
LP- Missed you there! I'm sure all of your planning will have paid off come weekend and your sister and friends will all have a fab time! Another one having Friday off, I'm jealous!
14/05/2013 at 09:42
Margot - the kids' perceptions of it are really funny aren't they? I started at my school covering for someone else's maternity, she is about to return, all teh kids are convinced that she is coming back because I am pregnant!
MrsB - hope you have a much less busy day today.
MummyS - enjoy the knitting!
BG - sorry the weather is a bit rubbish but glad you are having a good time.
JT - I am really trying not to think about the baby as a boy or a girl or get my hopes up either way but it is so hard isn't it? Weird how it gets into your subconscious as well.
Twink - hope you feel less down today, booking a day off will surely help as a short week can never be a bad thing!
LP - hen do sounds fun, lucky sister!
Sam - moving and baby, how exciting! It really is going fast isn't it, I feel like there is barely time to make decisions about anything sometimes.
I haven't been on here for a few days, seems to be all go at the moment. I went to the hairdressers at the weekend and the girl gave me a baby magazine to read while I waited so I must be looking more bump than chub now which is good. I told my class last week as the parent rumour mill at our school is ridiculous and I wanted it to come from me and not someone gossiping on their facebook group, as a result I now have lots of excited children and have had a few awkward questions about the origin of babies which I am neatly sidestepping!
14/05/2013 at 09:44
Margot - Glad you got a good night's sleep last night, it's great when it makes a proper difference!
MrsB - enjoy your lunch with your friend
MS - enjoy your relaxing day.
BG - Hola! Sorry the weather has been poo for you, I have been sending you sunny vibes promise! Glad you're still having a good time though, nice to just be away and relaxing.
JT - no advice on having a preference as we're not finding out and this is our first but I'm sure it will be fine, you have plenty of time to get used to the idea. If it helps at all, I have a sister and two boy cousins who are younger than me and more like brothers and we have always been incredibly close. We played together brilliantly as children and we're still very close now. It's not the same as having an actual brother I know but it's the only experience I can share :)
twink - good idea about booking Friday off, sounds like you just need a long weekend to get back to yourself. I've been feeling a bit blue for the last few days, for me it's just that I feel like I've been pregnant for ages already and my DD still feels like it's a long way off. I'm sure it will get better x
LP - hen weekend sounds fab, love the idea of a pyjama party!
Sam - exciting news about potential house move! Am jealous that your pregnancy feels like it's going fast, mine feels like it dragging on so much!
AFM - back at work today and feeling better after a lazy day and a good night's sleep. Spent a lot of yesterday laying on my right and feeling the baby flutter a lot which was lovely. H and I also had a bit of a breakthrough on our name discussion last night, finally! We both agree completely on our boys name, but are still a little undecided on girls - much closer than we were a few weeks ago though! 1 week today until scan, eep!
Sam and LP - Im knitting a baby blanket, its coming along, all be it quite slowly
14/05/2013 at 09:45
Oops, took too long to write my post and missed you there Tina!
Lovely that you've been able to tell your children at school, not sure how I'd handle the "where do babies come from?" question!
14/05/2013 at 09:54
Popcorn, I find that the phrase "why don't you ask your parents about that one?" comes in handy ;)
14/05/2013 at 10:12
Twink- back pain is a killer isn't it. Hopefully having a long weekend to look forward to will help .
LP- the hen do sounds great, Shane you can't have a drink
San- this but in the middle definately seems to go quick. It's going to be due date time before we all know it!
TT- very cute that they are all excited about it.
Popcorn- do we get to hear the name? Glad you've had a breakthrough
I think I do need to practice my happy face. To be honest I keep changing my mind. I had no preference at all last time. But now we have a girl, and she has been amazing and I've loved taking her to birthdays, weddings etc in pretty dresses I want to do it all again. But then I worry that I'd compare them and it would be good to have a boy as it would be something "new" as we haven't had a boy to experience before. I know I will be excited whichever it is and I'll just be over the moon to hear it is healthy, but I keep feeling anxious that whichever sex they tell me it is I'll not be happy. Hopefully it's just hormones making me confused!
14/05/2013 at 10:33
The boys name we both love is Seth and the current favourite girls is Rose, although my curveball name is Sylvie. I think we'll probably settle on Rosie though. I'm pretty convinced that we're having a boy (no idea why!) so might have to save the Sylvie discussion for future children!
14/05/2013 at 11:11
Popcorn- Lovely names! I was convinced we were having a boy too for some strange reason but for the past 2 weeks have been thinking it's a girl! We shall wait and see..
JT- I know what you mean about them being compared. I initially thought a boy would be better as he wouldn't get compared to H's daughter but now I really don't mind either way although I'm thinking a girl might be easier for SD to take the news!
14/05/2013 at 12:31
Popcorn those are lovely names- still plenty of time to talk H round if you have a favourite.
My tactic is if he says he's not keen, I keep mentioning it every couple of weeks to plant it in his head.
