An early start from me today. I woke up at 4 am and I couldn't get back to sleep, I lay there for a while but then my allergies started and I was disturbing C so I got up. Urgh. I've been having loads of BH this morning, I hope they're a good sign!
I'm off to meet some NCT friends this morning for coffee and after that I plan to get back into bed!

Sorry about your allergies :-( enjoy your coffee and I hope you manage to get some rest later.
I've got mw this morning but no other plans. It's H's day off so I'll see if he wants to go for a short walk somewhere.
Hi to all who follow!

Morning :-). Hi Imp, sorry you didn't get much sleep, but BH sound positive, and I hope you have a lovely morning with the NCT ladies.
Ixia, hope the mw goes well, and enjoy your walk. Lovely weather to get out and about.
AFM, well, I have officially finished work now due to my annual leave being put before my mat leave, so achieved my goal of staying as a frontline paramedic throughout my pregnancy. Fairly groundbreaking, and the top management have now agreed to let women have more of a choice, and not automatically be sidelined into office duties. Rather chuffed with that tbh.
We spent the weekend in Cornwall, since hubby was owed a day, so went in the campervan when he finished work on Friday. Spent Saturday swimming in the sea at Bude, then drove further southwest to near Zennor in the evening. Enjoyed a posh picnic perched on a clifftop watching the sun go down on the longest day, chatting and relaxing. Up early Sunday to catch low tide and go climbing on the sea cliffs, then pottered round St Ives yesterday, more swimming, pasties, and a nice café lunch before driving the 6 hrs home. Now suntanned and achy but happy.
We have first hypnobirith lesson tonight, so it's all getting a bit real!

Imp - sorry you've been up so early today and your allergies are playing up. I hope you have a lovely time out for coffee this morning though despite the tiredness
Ixia - I hope you get on ok at the mw this morning. A short walk sounds lovely - hope your weather is nice and you enjoy it.
AFM - Baby CA had a crazy day yesterday and never stopped the whole day. They seem to be a bit more chilled out this morning which is good and I'm not surprised. They must be exhausted!!!! My OH finishes for holiday tomorrow and will be off for 8 and a half weeks (hes a teacher) so I've only got a couple of days left to myself. I plan to do more chores round the house today. The weather isn't too good so that makes it easier to stay in and get stuff done.
Happy Tuesday everyone.

Imp - sorry you didn't sleep well. allergies suck! Hope you can catch up later :)
Ixia - Enjoy a nice chilled out day
Barefoot - Cornwall sounds lovely, it's one of those places on my list to visit.
CA - We both seemed to have timed due dates well, Mr Kapowski is off on summer holidays 2 weeks after due date so with paternity leave will be at home for 6-8 weeks. I have a feeling he may start to annoy me after a few weeks of being under my feet though!!
AFM - Had a much better nights sleep last night although some strange dreams! Feeling a lot more awake today. Got a not-so-exciting to do list of washing/tidying/sorting today but shall also try and get out for a walk too. Still feeling a little odd not being at work, have already checked my work emails and felt a little sad that there was only junk. I think it's because I'm not on holiday, I'm not sick... it just feels weird. The Prevalin allergy I got yesterday seems to be helping the hayfever, not completely but lessened itchiness!
Hello to all those who follow x

Morning all, how we doing?
Imp - sorry to hear you were up so early. Make sure you get some rest later on after your coffee date. Maybe those BHs mean Happy Feet is getting restless to meet their mummy and daddy!
Ixia - Good luck at the MW and hope the walk brings something on for you.
BF - sounds like a lovely weekend. Enjoy mat leave and hope hypnobirthing is good.
CA - haha, baby is getting fidgety. Hopefully that means they might be on their way out! Enjoy your last couple of days of peace, although it'll be nice to have H around for baby CA's first few weeks :)
AFM - not much to report really. The mothership is doing well with the nursery, she won't let me help though! I have the dentist later and I am so going to get told off for not flossing enough. Ooooops.
Hi to all that follow and baby out vibes to those of you that have had enough! x
24/06/2014 at 09:57
Missed you there K! Don't do too much missus, make sure you rest too. Glad the allergy is a bit better. And stop checking your work emails!
24/06/2014 at 10:08
Gavi - I won't do too much I promise! I have deleted the intranet shortcut from my browser to try and help me break that connection!!
24/06/2014 at 10:23
Imp - rubbish to the sleeping - I bet the heat didn't help. What do you take for your hayfever? Last time I asked at the pharmacy they just shook their heads and said I couldn't take anything! Enjoy your coffee and hope you have super relaxing day!
Ixia - hope MW is quick and easy and enjoy the rest of the day - it's coming around so soon!
BF - must feel good to be on mat leave/annual leave and weekend in Cornwall sounds lovely
CA - ha to baby Candy Apple having an energetic day. Hope your chores aren't too exerting!
Kapowski - glad you had a good night's sleep despite the dreams and hope you get in some relaxation today
Gavi - oooh can't wait to see a flash when nursery complete -must make it seem so real!
AFM - counting down hour until scan tomorrow. In a weird mix of emotions where I am craving a decision and certainty, but to get that tomorrow post-scan will mean Embrie's not growing which is obviously the opposite of what I want. Obviously the ideal is she is growing, and as I'm currently stable they will keep me going as long as I can (but no more than 36 weeks max) . Got a couple of friends popping by today which I'm excited by and then my H comes to see my every evening and brings me contraband (food, not drugs and alcohol ;o) which always cheers me up!

Imp - enjoy the coffee and meeting your friend later. Sorry your sleep was interrupted by the hayfever but a nap sounds like just the thing! Fx the BH are the start of something.
Ixia - good luck at the mw and enjoy your walk later.
BF - your weekend sounds lovely. Good luck at hypnobirthing, I am teaching myself which is probably not as effective...
CA - oh that will be lovely! My H has got 3 weeks and he's so excited about that. 8 would be amazing! Hope you get your stuff done today and enjoy the last couple days to yourself.
K - another well timed baby! Lets hope Mr K keeps himself useful! Haha I worry I'm going to be bored on my mat leave as I've not had longer than a week off in over 5 years. 3 weeks seems like a v long time to wait but I'm sure the days will get faster. Also, checking work emails?? I certainly won't be doing that!! Madness. Get Jeremy Kyle on!
Gavi - oo what colour is the nursery? How exciting!! We're trying to do ours at the moment but I manage half a wall before I'm knackered. I was determined to do it myself but it's taking so long I'm getting H in on it tomorrow. Do you have all the stuff ready to go in?
AFM - had my consultant appt yesterday and was finally told that my heart monitor picked up nothing sinister so I am a-ok to have a natural birth. Woop. After measuring big 3 weeks ago bean is now back on the scale and actually measuring a week behind. He said something about his head being deep in the pelvis which sounds a bit weird haha. I think I'm the only one that doesn't want an early baby though! I really don't want to have to be induced but a nice on time baby would be perfect
Hi to those that follow!
24/06/2014 at 10:57
CJ - missed you there! Really hoping that embrie is growing well still and you can hang on a bit longer. Obviously being stuvk in hospital isn't the greatest but I really hope tomorrow goes well for you both. Good old H bringin you food too! Although when I was stuck in the food at the hospital wasn't so bad. Hope you're ok and not going too stir crazy!xx
24/06/2014 at 11:48
Monster appointment today but more about that after some PMs:)
Imp - Hate waking up so early - Hope the BH's are a sign of things moving Enjoy coffee
Ixia - Enjoy a quiet day
Barefoot - Weekend sounds gorg! Mad jealous! Enjoy the hypnobirthing!
Candy - My baby is crazy to the point of it hrting when they jump around so much - hope they are quiter today :) Enjoy the last few days to yourself :)
Kapowski - Its very hard to djust to mat leave - especially if you have a really busy job with lots of emails - good idea with deleting the browser shortcut. I have 1 mobile - both work + private so I am still not sure how I'll manage that!!
Gavi - Flash us a pivture of the nursery! My last thing - the wall stickers just arrived at work so I'll put them up tonight
Ceejay - Seems I missed your post - Since when are you in hospital andhow come? Hope you are ok and being looked after well xx
Jonesy - Baby size sounds good and congrats on the size!
AFM- Had my appointment in the hospital with the consultant today. The update is is that the placenta has moved up a little (I have placenta previa) and I am not a ''high-risk'' anymore meaning they will not have to ''order-in'' extra blood units in case I bleed after the birth - so thats good. However the baby is lying a bit side ways so all in all the Consultant supports a C-section - which I am not unhappy about. We got our date too which has left me a nit shellshocked - I'm not telling anyone yet as it needs to sink in a bit too - lets just say its very close to the 39 weekk mark so it may well be that the baby comes earlier anyway as with my first.
It was a good meeting and I know my H is feeling a little more relaxed now.
Hugs to all xx
24/06/2014 at 11:49
..oh and only 11 days left at work and I am not finished half of what I need to transfer - PANIC!!!!
24/06/2014 at 11:58
Ceejay - will be thinking of you tomorrow my lovely. FX Embrie is growing nicely and can stay there a bit longer.
Jonesy - we have 'soft lime' on the walls, will have white furniture and accessories from this range at Next (www.next.co.uk/.../10). It won't be finished for a while yet though...I need to hit up Ikea for the rest of the furniture as we need the in laws estate car and they are on hols for a bit.
Sue - I'll flash it when it's totally finished - I can envisage it being a junk room for a bit longer, just with nice paint on the walls, ha. Sorry to hear you're disappointed with the outcome but you can now plan to have it exactly how you want and you have a date to work towards. Which is nice.
24/06/2014 at 12:22
Imp - Tiny bit excited that the early wake up and the excessive BH's mean something is about to happen in there for you!
Ixia - Enjoy your day, hope MW goes well x
Barefoot - Congrats on finishing work - enjoy your time off
CA - Glad to hear baby has calmed down a bit today. I'm on tenderhooks for my PP duties being needed!
Kapowski - Yay for more sleep, hope today is good for you and the itchiness subsides
Gavi - I always get told off for not flossing too - remember for the first week after seeing dentist then totally forget - oops!
Ceejay - Fingers crossed for tomorrows scan. Pleased to hear that being stuck in hospital hasn't been too bad so far with all the visitors and contraband ;)
Jonesy - Pleased your consultant appointment went well. Hope all goes okay from here onward x
Sue - I got my date for c-sect last time I saw my consultant too which was very unexpected! We're not sharing the date with anyone as I didn't want the added pressure if for any reason it gets delayed. I hope things go to plan for you :)
AFM - Last night I actually got about 4hrs solid sleep which is the best by far I've had in a long time. Still knackered but that's to be expected I guess. My feet and hands are hurting today again from the heat and feel like they might split open (yet don't appear particularly swollen which is really confusing!). I'm waddling round the office in 3/4 ;ength trousers and no shoes today - must look like a right scruffbag haha!! I have a desktop fan situated about 30cm to my left which is giving me a lovely breeze too but adding my my scruffy appearance as my hair is totally windswept - pregnancy is so glamourous ;)
Nothing new to report on Paperclip other than they are moving around alot more now, they love ice lollies and especially the slush puppy I had on Saturday. Made him go wild in there :D
24/06/2014 at 12:36
Jonsey - woo to natural birth and no heat monitor issues! Is it uncomfortable feeling it in your pelvis or you can't really tell?
Sue - been in a week today and told I can't leave until baby is here, who will probably be premature. I'm Little Miss Pre Eclampsia which has all been a bit shocking. Turns out the blood vessels in my kidneys are leaking protein which all sounds a bit weird. I am glad you have a plan in place and must feel good to know the date. That's good news about your placenta moving - I didn't even know that could happen!
PS - you poor thing on 4 hours sleep! can't believe that's a lot for you! Hopefulyl you will sleep much better tonight. I stopped caring about looking profesh at work and had been in flip flops and vest tops since it got warm
Gavi - I love those next furnishings - and love lime - will look so cute when done I'm sure
24/06/2014 at 13:19
Sue - glad you have a plan and H is feeling relaxed about it all. 11 days left - exciting! Hope you get it all finished off.
Gavi - lime sounds lovely. Our lounge is lime and i love it! I also have a feeling the baby room will remain a junk/overflow room for a while too. Oh well!
PS - haha I am also barefoot today. My manager just said "however you feel comfy" so I am going to be embracing the casual look from now on. Should have v few meetings after this week so I will ake advantage. My hands are sore too. It's horrid isnt it?!
CJ - I can feel it and I feel heaviest at the bottom of my bump if that makes sense but it's not the bowling ball feeling people say they have when baby is fully engaged. Cant wait for that.... Have you got enough entertainment in hospital?
24/06/2014 at 13:45
Busy thread today!
Imp - hope you enjoyed coffee this morning and get a better sleep tonight!
Ixia - hope the weather is ok for your walk - it's raining here!
BF - hope you enjoy ML. Sounds like you had a lovely weekend.
CA - hope you don't overdo the chores! It'll be nice for your H to have so much time off with the baby before he goes back to work.
Kapowski - hope you get everything done you want to today, weather isn't great!
Gavi - good luck at the dentist! Hope you don't get told off. Bless your mum. Can't wait for a flash of the nursery when it's done!
CJ - I really hope whatever happens it's a decision that you are happy with. I really hope the scan brings good news. Enjoy seeing your friends x
Jonesy - glad to hear all is measuring ok. Baby stay in vibes to you!
Sue - wow I bet it feels very real having your date!
PS - glad you got some sleep last night but you must be shattered. Hope works not too hectic today.
I think that's everyone! Phew!
AFM - I took H's car in and it's the catalyc (sp) converter which isn't workng out too expensive to get done thank god! Been to toddler group with my sister and nephew this morning and he had one of the biggest tantrums I've seen him have! I have a feeling this aft is going to be a long one! I'd asked to be booked onto an infant life session course (first aid) but haven't had confirmation and now won't be able to make it due to picking H's car up. Bit of a shame but never mind.
24/06/2014 at 16:35
BF - enjoy your hypnobirthing session.
CA - glad baby has chilled out a bit today!
Kapowski - glad you had a better nights sleep. Hope you enjoyed your day and are managing to relax as well as do chores.
CJ - will be thinking of you tomorrow. Pleased you are having visitors and some nice food brought to you.
Jonesy - so pleased your consultant appointment went well :)
Gavi - hope you weren't told off by the dentist!
Sue - Pleased you now have a date to work towards.
PS - never mind looking like a scruff as long as you are comfortable! It must be nice being able to choose what to wear to work. I hate wearing a uniform in summer! Hopefully you will start getting more sleep now.
Browny - hope you had a good day and this afternoon hasn't been too long for you.
Phew! Hopefully I didn't miss anyone - apologies if I did. MW said baby is ready to go and all the pains/aches I've been getting over the last 2 weeks are a positive sign so hopefully baby won't decide she's so comfortable she'll stay put for a few more weeks. Next appointment is at 40+5 when she'll do a sweep if I want one.
