    Hi ladies

I hope that you all had a lovely bank holiday. H and I made the most of the sun and spent a lot of time outside walking, relaxing and having a BBQ. Made the most of the last bank holiday as a twosome!

Been up a lot of the night with regular braxton hicks and tightening (see my separate post). Am going and get up go for a swim and then good shopping before coming back and perhaps having a nap to catch up on some sleep. Am out this evening with the NCT girls for dinner.

Thinking lots about RKB, poor thing she must be exhausted. Hope that things get going and she gets to meet her baby today.

Have a good day all x

    Morning ladies!

Cant believe RKB is having such a time of it, she must be thoroughly fed up!  Vibes for you RKB, out baby out!

Ferbs - sounds like you have a lovely day planned.  Dont think I've had any braxton hicks yet so dont think I can be of much help!

Bexy - boo for no twinges!  Hope the sweep goes well.

AFM - sciatica is getting better a bit I think, but then I still struggle with what I think are short distances!  My H has finished the living room this weekend so I no longer have to camp upstairs of an evening.  Bought a few bits for the hospital bag at weekend, just a few more bits to get then were ready - gulp!  My maternity cover fell through, so back to square one, probably no chance of a handover with the person if we do appoint unless they are currently unemployed and can start straight away.  Hey ho not my concern but a bit annoying!

    Morning all,

Firstly baby out vibes to RKB!

Ferbs - Sounds like you had a lovely bank holiday weekend, hope the braxton hicks aren't too uncomfortable. I'm not sure whether I've had any myself yet.

BB - Baby out vibes for you too, hope the sweep works it's magic!

PC - Glad to hear the sciatica's getting a bit better. My maternity cover has also fallen through and I'm in the same situation as you. Hate the thought of leaving my position without being able to get my hands on my replacement first :-)

AFM - Spent most of the bank holiday weekend relaxing after my week in France with work. first day back in the office today but I'm only in today and Thursday then I'm off to France again for another week with work on Sunday.

    Have a good day everyone

Hope the BH turn into something Ferbs!

Good luck with the sweep Bexy.

PC, that's annoying re your cover. Have they started looking again?

TT, what do you do for work? Lucky you in France! (Though being there and not having smelly cheese and pâté would be difficult!)

AFM, 38 weeks today!!! You'd think the mega bump would make this less of a shock but no, I am regularly found shellshocked that we will be parents again in less than two weeks! Must pack my hospital bag today now that I have bags to put things in.

Rainy day here so need to find something to entertain M. Off out with some MDers tonight for our monthly Stitch n *** session!

    Morning everyone.

Hope that RKB meets baby soon, baby is being a bit of a pickle not wanting to come out!

Ferbs- no experience of Braxton hicks so can't help there. I would definitely have a nap if I were you. Enjoy your dinner tonight.

Bexy- seaside sounds nice, can't remember the last time I went to one! Hope the sweep goes well.

Porkchop- your h has been very busy with the decorating.glad your living rooms done. Hope the sciatica keeps improving.

Twinlktoes- glad you had a relaxing weekend, and good that you're only in for 2 days!

Spent most of the weekend decorating. We have almost finished the little jobs, just the hallway to do. Got the midwife this afternoon for my 28 weeks appointment so looking forward to that.

Rusty - yeah HR have re-advertised but I have four weeks to go after this.  And we wanted a two week handover.  We have someone to interview that seems perfect on paper but is employed so would have to give four weeks notice, he cant interview until next week and there we have our problem!  I guess we may be able to get him for the odd day during is notice period but not sure if that ethically/logistically feasible!  We are also a massive international company so everything has to go through HR, inevitably slowing things up even more!

And two weeks - eeek!  I cant believe I will have a baby in 8 or so, crypes!

TT - glad its not just my lot!  I've been nagging my boss for month, I knew this would happen!  Hope you have a chilled work week.

    Morning everyone!

Ferbs - no experience of braxton hicks so no help. Hope you have a lovely dinner out tonight

Bexy - hope the sweep kicks things off for you

PC - glad your sciatica is getting better, How frustrating re your maternity cover

TT - working in France doesn't sound too bad! What do you do?

Rusty - Can't believe your 38 weeks already, I know you're keeping your section date a secret but can't be long to wait :-)

Bunny - hope the MW goes well

AFM - nothing to report as usual lol. Got my consultant appt and growth scan on Friday so hopefully get some answers then re baby's size and my dodgy blood results and get a plan of action for when they'll induce. I'm back at work tomorrow after being off on annual leave, 5 more shifts until I finish up so the final countdown is on!

Starting to panic a little bit as to how I'll cope with 3 after the 2 of them having major tantrums the other night as I was trying to make dinner and my H was trying to leave for nightshift. I kept thinking how the hell am I going to cope when a newborn is added into the mix too - I guess the answer is I'll have to but I have everything crossed that I get an easy baby and not another Abigail!

    Morning ladies

Ferbs sounds like a good day you've got planned

Bexy hope the sweep starts something off!

Porkchop glad your sciatica is abit better

Twinkle I like the sound of going to France with work!

    Rusty yikes scary stuff!

Bunny sounds like us were on a mission to touch up all the little bits before baby comes! Good luck at midwife

    Ally yikes to three!

Afm had a nice weekend, did abit of gardening which was a silly idea as I was in agony all night. Lots of resting in the sun. Baby has had a quiet weekend, regular movement but lighter than normal. My friends visiting today and were going for lunch so that should be good

Bexy - hope that the sweep gets things moving for you

PC - sorry to hear that your maternity cover has fallen through. Like you say, it's not your problem but it would be nice for you to know that things are in place before you go. Hopefully you can find a replacement

TT - glad to hear that you had a relaxing weekend after your week in France and bonus you are only in  two days this week!

Rusty - yay to 38 weeks! I am still in complete denial that we are about to become parents too, I suppose that it doesn't become real until baby is in your arms! Have fun at stitch and **** later!

Bunny - it must be very satisfying to have got most of the decorating done. Good luck at MW

Ally - am sure that you will cope fine, my friend said that after 2, another one is not much different! Not long for you at work now!

Duckford - Enjoy lunch with your friend. Shame that the weather has turned

AFM - back from my swim. It's lovely to feel light again when in the water! Weather is so atrocious that I can't be bothered to go food shopping so am going to do an online one for delivery tomorrow instead!

Hope you get some rest today Ferbs, I'm ignorant on BH but hope they're not troubling you.

Bexy, hope the sweep gets things going!

PC, glad the sciatica seems a little better. Don't stress about the cover at work - like you say, not your problem!

TT, glad you had a relaxing weekend. Hope work goes okay this week

Rusty, happy 38 weeks! Sorting your hospital bag must make it even more real!

Bunny, seems everyone's been decorating this weekend! Love the feeling of achievement from it!

Ally, five more shifts! Not long to go now! Try not to worry too much about dealing with three - like you say, you'll just get on with it. Easy baby vibes though! :)

DF, have a nice lunch out. Glad you made the most of the sun! I hope that wasn't it for summer!

AFM - been doing general house jobs this weekend which has been tiring but necessary. Think me and H need to relax a little more though as we're winding each other up at the moment! Had mw this morning - all good and baby still head down which I'm glad about. Also have had a new carpet fitted today in the nursery! Now ready to move all the furniture back in next weekend. Cot and changing table arrive in 2 weeks, then it's ready!!

Ally- you will be fine with 3. One of my friends has recently had her third a few months ago and says she's the easiest to deal with.

Duckford- hope your not in pain now. Enjoy your lunch.

Pirate wife- almost there with the nursery then, how exciting! Good that baby is still head down, obviously ready and waiting for the right time ;)

Mrs h- enjoy your last few days of work! I know what you mean about time disappearing!

Hoping that RKB is nearer to holding baby by now.

Well sweep done...not very successful..babys head still not engaged and cervix not thin enough for Mw to manipulate...she gave it a painful rub tho!   So next Sweep is Saturday and then induction will be booked....not feeling very positive that labour will happen naturally....

Sorry to hear that Bexy. Don't be disheartened, babies can move very quickly! Hopefully the sweep on Saturday will help further and if not, induction is not too long away. How are you feeling, you always sound so positive which is very admirable. I am totally fed up!!!

That makes sense. The weather probably doesn't help also as I have no motivation to go out when it's like this and I think that keeping busy is the key to not getting too fed up! Just think, baby will be here in just over a week either naturally or with a little bit of assistance!

BH have calmed down today, thanks for asking. They tend to get worse in the evening though so am not convinced that they won't come back :-(

Bexy, shame the sweep wasn't more positive, but at least you know what's going on.

Ferbs glad the by have settled down a bit, at least they are giving you a bit of a break.

Midwife appointment went well. Baby's heartbeat was 145 beats per minute and they are currently lying at an angle across my tummy, although head is down, it's off centre. Doesn't matter at the moment as its still really early so hopefully when it's time baby straightens up!
