Thought I would pop on early before it got to busy, cannot see another thread so will start
Having a completely pants time body wise with this pregnancy, my hips are in agony and nothing is helping. I think I managed about 3 hours solid sleep last night and ended up crying for a good hour, I am so frustrated. Just on hold to the doctors now because the medication (a gel) the doctor prescribed me last week is not suitable in your third tri according to the instructions, waiting to see what to do. physio referal has gone in but it is a long wait so going to call my midwife today to see if they can hurry things along. Other than that all is good, had a good sort out of our room yesterday and got rid of loads of rubbish, OH re-arranged and the crib can now go in our room.
will pop back later

Nina, how horrible for you! And how confusing being prescribed something that says it's not suitable for you.. I can't really offer much more than sympathy and hope that things get better if you're able to use the gel or something else.
AFM, also in pain, but I think being just about 39 weeks it's fine and I can out up with it. If i still had weeks and weeks to go I don't know how I'd cope (sorry, nina!!). Planning to go up to London to meet a few people for lunch today, but if the rain doesn't let up we might cancel. It's pretty miserable at the moment, but forecast says it should dry up... Other than that, just sitting on the sofa still recovering for my ill-advised day of half term fun yesterday.
I'm also very excited for another 3rd tri BA today! Eek!

Hope everyone had a nice bank holiday weekend.
NB - that sounds awful I'm sorry. Does paracetamol help at all? I'm guessing you've tried that. Really hope the physio can be hurried up for you. Did they say the usual 6 weeks wait?
Wispa - Hope you get into London today. Sorry you're also in pain. Pregnancy is no picnic eh? Was the half term fun worth the need to rest today?
AFM - I have been poorly this weekend with a dodgy stomach. Not fun. I have managed to sort the baby's hospital bag, or at least get everything out that needs to go into it. Can't actually find the bag I was planning on using... I just need a couple more bits this weekend for me and that's sorted. I have discussed the work situation with my new manager today and she is going to keep me in my department until I go off on mat leave so I will not be redeployed before then yay! Outcome of the outsourcing is due Thursday but at least I now don't have to worry about where I'm going for a good few months. Baby has been kicking lots and H saw movements from the outside which he thought was creepy and awesome. He's dying for them to come out now haha. So impatient.
Hi to those that follow

Morning all. I have been reading the threads but not been posting! Hope everyone had a nice Bank Holiday weekend.
Nina - hope the Drs can give you something more appropriate! Fingers crossed you get a physio appointment soon, it is so odd how the time you have to wait for an appointment varies, when I was referred the midwife called up there and then and I had an appointment 3 days later!
Wispa - Hope your aren't in too much pain and can now relax a little! fingers crossed HJ makes an appearance soon!
AFM - Had a pretty busy few days. On Friday I had the most pointless 'presentation scan'! Waited for over an hour to be seen, scanned me for literally 30 seconds and said 'oh yes it is breech' and then told me I could either wait a few hours to see the consultant or see them at the appointment I already had arranged for tomorrow! So all in all a bit of a waste of time, didn't come out of there knowing any more than I knew when I went in!
I did have a nice Bank Holiday weekend though, a few walks on the beach with our yellow lab and our friends black and chocolate labs, tired and soggy dogs all around! Also had my baby shower on Sunday which was lovely, baby was thoroughly spoilt! Also went to my first Lazy Daisy class which was nice, wish I had found out about them earlier as think I will probably only be able to make a few more before little one makes an appearance! Topped off the weekend with a pub lunch and some lazing on the sofa!
So now I am just in waiting mode until tomorrow afternoon to find out what my options are and whether this baby is coming naturally or a little earlier than planned by elective section!

Missed you Jonesy - Hope you are feeling better now, is good that your work is a little more sorted! My H is very impatient for baby to be here too!

NB So sorry you're suffering so much, it's miserable and like torture when you can't sleep with it. Have a massive hug. I hope the mw is able to shake up your referral a bit.I'm
Wispa sorry you're in pain too. I think a day on the sofa with wispa sounds in order to me, rather than heading out in the rain.
Jonesy sorry you've not been well, are you feeling better now? Great news on the job front, do you feel more relaxed? How are housey things coming along?
Vix Good luck with the cons, hopefully they will be able to offer your some options.
I'm shattered today despite a good nights sleep, I think HF is going theough a growth spurt! It certainly feels like it with all the bits sticking out of my belly!

Nina - sorry you're no further on with a solution to the pain. See so much of doctors prescribing things to ladies on here they can't take in pregnancy. Hope your MW can hurry physio along for you. Well done on yesterday's sorting though!
Wispa - I think at 39 weeks the aches and pains are inevitable like you say. Hope the weather sorts itself out and you manage to see your friends.
Jonesy - sorry you've been poorly, but we'll done on hospital bag progress! And fab that you can sleep easy with work just now too.
Vix - sorry you're no clearer on how baby is going to arrive. How are you feeling about possible elective? Glad you had a lovely weekend to take your kind off things.
AFM - Had my GTT Friday and looking like everything is fine there as not heard anything back. Last week at work this week (whole years AL to take plus want to try and cracking potty training with O before baby arrives!) ...looking forward to the rest! Today we've done soft play already and now chilling while O naps.

Imp - missed you there! Ouch to growth spurts...just when you doing think you can stretch any more eh? Hope you have another good night to make up for the tiredness x
27/05/2014 at 11:37
Imp - glad you got a better nights sleep!
Coco - yay for last week at work, hope you get potty training done before baby arrives :)
I am feeling a lot calmer this week about the possibility of an elective section, spoke to a few friends at the weekend that have had sections (albeit unplanned ones) and they have set my mind at rest a little! I think almost having it planned is giving me maybe too much time to think about it all!
27/05/2014 at 12:17
Vix - im glad you're not too worried about a possible section. I think electives will be different too. I imagine it will be calmer too. Sorry the scan seemed to be a bit pointless though. Very exciting that you could know tomorrow when you'll meet your baby!
Imp - I'm feeling slightly better but I seem to have one good day then one bad day so will need to wait for tomorrow to be sure! House is moving slowly but I'm going to email the solicitors to see if they have a vague idea how long we have left. We measured up various parts of the house on the weekend and have plans we want to get started on now! Sounds like a growth spurt! I love the big movements though. The small ones I got originally felt weird but I like the rolling bean is doing these days. Hope it's not too uncomfortable for you though!
Coco - wow! Last week at work\! I am jealous. I have 7 weeks to go *sobs*. Glad the GTT came back negative. Enjoy the rest of your day!
27/05/2014 at 12:44
Jonesy, the 'fun' was actually my last day of work and that was difficult. Busiest day at the museum I have ever experienced. But yay for you getting stared on the hospital bag, you're far more organised than me.
Vix, I love the sound of your bank holiday weekend. Wispa is jealous, she just got normal soggy walks, no beach in sight! I'm sorry the scan was a waste of time and you don't have your answer yet.
Imp, hopefully it is a growth spurt and not just random tiredness and discomfort. But a good night! That's worth celebrating!!
Coco, congrats on the GTT results, and hopefully potty training goes well int he next come months.
It's still peeing it down with rain, so I cancelled lunch, and as suggested I'm on the couch with Wispa!
27/05/2014 at 13:55
Oh god what a day to be your last then! I have a horrible feeling my last day here will be all go. I'll try and wind down as much as possible but everyone else that has left recently seems to be massively stressed!! Oh well the bag needs to be done now before everything is in boxes and I can't get to it. I am not normally organised at all but needs must!
Chilling on the sofa seems a good way to go, especially if you have been manic!
27/05/2014 at 14:59
Wispa - Sounds like you done the best thing, weather is awful in London, just run out to boots and got soaked!
Jonesy - Good news about the work situation, that must be a weight off your mind!
Vix - sounds like a lovely weekend, I have made enquiries about Lazy Daisy classes and I am thinking of starting in two weeks time, Didn't do anything like this with Molly but would like to try. good luck for the consultants tomorrow!
HF - I seem to have a foot hanging out of my tummy on wide side!LOL completely freaks out my OH!! lots of growing now for you!
Coco - Good news about the GTT. I am sooooooooooooo jealous you are finishing work too
AFM - well I called my midwife and she is on holiday for a fortnight and the message said to call the number in my maternity pack which is of course at home!! Had a good cry on my boss who just happened to ask if I was ok (embaressing!) and she was fantastic!! made me call the doctors back and I have made an appointment to see the younger and better doctor at the surgery, if this doesn't speed things up she is going to pay for me to see a physio privately through work. She has also ordered me a bump support today and some cool packs she uses for her back which really helped her, bless her, does make me appreciate my boss I can tell you!!!
Ordered my changing bag, some nappies and some wipes so that cheered me up!
27/05/2014 at 19:34
NB bless your boss! She sounds fab. Really hope the belt and cool packs work some magic. Brilliant news on the private physio too! What a good day!
