Didn't get back to yesterday's thread - plans changed last minute at work and I had a full day of teaching and the same again today, am shattered! Joshua managed to have a collision with a wall too and has grazed his face quite badly so it was just one of those days. Roll on tomorrow for a day off!

Margot - yesterday sounds like a bit of a nightmare, hope you have a better day today
AFM - Not a lot to report, first day with my temp yesterday which wasn't too bad. Hopefully she'll pick everything up quickly. I didn't make aquanatal as I was late finishing work too but I was in bed for 9 which more than made up for it.
Have a good day everyone!

Margot - Poor J! Hope he isnt too traumatised!
TT - glad it went ok. Mine was ok too! Although I cant do much on the training front with my job, he's just going to have to learn as he goes, with my boss backing him up!
AFM - last antenatal yesterday, which was the worst of the lot, random Health Visitor drivelling along about I dont know what really! But we did make some friends! H gave our details to one couple we'd gotten on well with, I didnt think they'd contact us but we've already arranged to go to theirs for tea and cake on Saturday so that's nice. MW this afternoon and hoping she'll tell me Bean is engaged, feel like he or she is with constant pressure on my bladder for a week or so now, and all the wriggling up top end of its bum makes me feel like its snuggling in!!

Margot - hope you're not too tired and J's face is ok. Abigail managed to whack herself with a skipping rope so is now sporting a massive bruise and lump on her head
TT - glad it went well with the temp, nothing beats a nice early night :-)
AFM - got Abigail's nursery graduation concert today. She isn't graduating though but they all take part and have been learning new songs for it. Also supposed to have her dancing today but I'm in pain walking now and Its 20 mins to get there so may have told her it's finished for the summer now :-)
Hope everyone else is well

Missed you there PC, hope mw goes well today. That's lovely you've met some nice people, although boo to the rubbish class!
25/06/2013 at 08:01
Margot hope today is better than yesterday!
Twinkletoes- that's good that your replacement seems alright. An early night always does wonders!
Porkchop-glad you made some friends at antenatal. Hope the midwife tells you what you want to hear about babies position.
Ally- enjoy the nursery concert. No harm in saying dancing has stopped if it saves your hips!
Had antenatal last night, was about pain relief. I'm really enjoying them which I didn't think I would. Going to book another tour of the maternity unit now I've got a better idea of what I want so I can take note of things+check some stuff. Got a day working at home today for reports. I finished them at the weekend so going to do other paperwork I need to get done. Might allow myself a little walk round town as a treat this afternoon if I get it done.

M - poor J! Hope today at least passes quickly for you!
TT - glad you had a good nights sleep
PC - fab that you at least made some friends from the classes
Ally - aw, hope A enjoys the graduation. Don't blame you for letting her think dancing is over!
AFM - it's my trial run day, looking after my best friend's 7 month old little girl today, will be interesting! I get to try out my double buggy at least. Have to take them both to mw this afternoon, luckily it's at a children's centre so lots to keep A entertained whilst I'm there.
Wish me luck!

Margot – boo to being shattered and yesterday as a day overall. You’ll deserve an extra break by the time tomorrow arrives.
Twinkletoes – glad it went ok with your temp. From what you saying yesterday sounded like you needed that early night!
Porkchop – yay to another temp being ok and to making friends on your antenatal course. Tea and cake sounds lovely! But boo to the rubbish last class. Hope mw goes well this afternoon.
Ally – she’ll never know that you told her that little white lie, I couldn’t face walking 20 mins somewhere either so I can totally understand your thinking. Enjoy the graduation concert – is this a new thing? I’ve heard some mums talk of it and I’d never heard of it before.
Bunny – glad you’re enjoying the antenatal, I really enjoyed mine too. That sounds great that you’re able to book another tour. My hospital doesn’t do tours but I can totally see their reasoning of it interrupting them and so you don’t overhear them talking about patients etc. So I just have to make sure I’ve asked everything before – though I think I questioned her last time quite a bit for the things I want – ie. ball and music.
Bridget – good luck for today, I’m sure you’ll be fine! Be nice to have a test of the double buggy now.
Twink – don’t forget you’re allowed these wobbles! But glad you’re feeling better.
AFM – 34 weeks today, I’m not quite sure how that happened already! The first baby from our NCT group was born yesterday, admittedly early as she had preeclampsia but has reminded us that the babies will start to be born soon and then it’ll be our turn.

morning BG hope the midwife goes well and you enjoy the double buggy!
twink - its good that you have sorted out an antenatal class. Its ok to have wobbles, our bodies are changing so much it's hard to keep up with it all. I have a shock everytime I look in the mirror at the moment!
Sapphire - Yes we are quite lucky, although we don't get to see the wards, just a room in the midwife led unit. Not long to go now! It must be a bit scary with babies starting to be born.
I have finished school work, so going to have lunchy then wander round town for some fresh air. Wish I could work from home more often!

Hi Bunny - Glad you're enjoying your classes, I don't think I learned anything at mine when I did them 1st time round lol. Seemed to get more info from Hitched! Enjoy your walk round town
BG - good luck looking after 2. What double pram have you got?
Twink - glad you're feeling better, we're all allowed our wobbles :-)
Sapphire - I think all nurseries/pre schools have a little graduation for the ones going to school. Abigail is probably just calling it a concert cos she's learned a song to sing for it!
AFM, just walked up a big hill to drop A off at the school where they're doing their wee show. I'm knackered lol, it's ridiculous! Feel like the baby is so low down he's trying to escape whenever I walk! Just going to hang the washing up then it'll be time to leave again to walk back up the hill :-(
25/06/2013 at 13:16
Oh and I've just done a load of Christmas shopping - Mothercare have a good wee toy sale on so I got quite a few bits for the kids, along with new shoes in the Startrite sale - 4 pairs for £40!! (shoes aren't for Christmas obv ;-)) Already have a pile of stuff up the loft too, I love being organised
25/06/2013 at 15:11
well ispoke too soon, antenal session may be cancelled next week due to low numbers... lady jsut rang and asked if i had been going to the ones at the hosptial...well no obviously not because i was booked in for an afernoon session you stupid woman!
25/06/2013 at 15:42
I've got the baby jogger mini city Ally, have been really surprised with how many place is does fit through!
Having two has, dare I say it, been a doddle so far, we've been to the park, to the shops,
for a playdate at a friends house and to the mw. Typically the only time the baby cried was at the mw's. All was ok, although it wasn't my mw, maybe I'll see her at 34 weeks!
25/06/2013 at 16:28
I had the baby jogger last time, I loved it
25/06/2013 at 16:38
Ally that's very organised! I wish we had room in the loft for stuff.
Twink hopefully more people will book so it won't be cancelled or you will be offered an alternative.
Bg glad it's gone well with two, that's a very good sign!

If I start buying Xmas presents this early I forget about them, I tend to try and have it done by end of November though. Things might not go so smoothly this year with a small baby to contend with.
I am missing not having NCT classes to focus my mind on the birth, it all just seems like it isn't a big deal this time which is sad becuase it should be a big deal
AFM - 36 weeks today, midwife this morning who has sent my blood off to check iron levels again as I am still struggling, still measuring ahead but only 2 weeks, baby partially engaged. 3 weeks until ELCS date and I have decided that that is the way I am going to go, I can't face potentially waiting another 2/3 weeks to go in to labour, I just want this pregnancy over and done with. Managed to get my whooping cough done too as I only realised last night that I hadn't had it. Oops.
25/06/2013 at 17:35
I'm glad you've made a decision re the birth JB, can't say I blame you wanting it over, you've had it tougher than most. Are you still going to attempt a vbac is you go into labour before the section?
When are you supposed to have whooping cough vaccine?
25/06/2013 at 17:50
Yep, if I go into labour then I will go for VBAC. That would actually be my ideal but I just can't bring myself to delay the section. Whooping cough is from 28 weeks, the midwife said I was at the "upper end" for having it done and because section is at 39 weeks wanted it done asap.
