couldn't see a thread yet... Apologies for not posting - been too miserable.
I had an attempted sweep on Friday, got really miserable as only attempted. Was told cervix was closed and shut and she couldn't reach any further to actually sweep. She also said baby is way too big (like the 12th time I've been told this now) and that induction had to be by this wednesday (term+7). Hospital refused to book induction until term + 12 so I had an appt with registrar yesterday. She said induction at term +10 (Saturday) and gave me another sweep, this time successful. She also said baby is normal for head and shoulders and that's all that matters for delivery so I'm fine, which Is a massive relief. I spent from 5pm - 11pm last night with really bad back ache and period pains that we're so bad they caused me to cry a little at one point, got very excited thinking sweep has been mega successful... Went to bed and now woken up with nothing. Sod's law. See what today brings but I'm not counting on a baby anytime soon.
comgratulations SG, only just seen the ba. Haven't caught up on threads so if Wispa is still out there, baby out vibes and hoping all you 3rd tri ladies are in good spirits. Off to catch up up on the 3 days threads I've missed xx

WW I hope the sweep works for yo and that you don't need the induction after all.
Wispa baby out vibes for you!
Afm got a consultant appt this morning. I'm hoping I'll have more of an idea waft kind of birth I can have after today. It's funny here just now but we've got rain forecast later today. Nothing planned for this afternoon so will probably have a lazy TV afternoon seen as it's going to be pouring down.

WW - Sorry baby hasn't arrived yet lovely. Hope your cramps etc just stopped last night so you could rest and goings ramp up today for you. On a positive if they could do the sweep this time things are moving in the right direction.
Imp - Hope you have a positive appointment and can have the birth you want. Hope it doesn't pour down for you (though if you're anything like me being cooler just now would be nice ;-) ) can't believe you're 36 weeks!!
Wispa - HJ out vibes!!
AFM - Felt a bit sicky last night but think (hope) it was just the heat and being tired. Feel a bit better this morning so don't think it's a bug. Forecast to be another warm one here....taking O to soft play this morning and then will get the paddling pool out this afternoon I think (he might get a look in! ;-) ) rest of week is looking busy so trying to have a fairly chilled one today!

Morning all - congrats to SG - really looking forward to that birth story!
WW - sorry you are miserable - cannot blame you! Lots of baby out vibes!
IMP - good luck with your appointment - hope all becomes clear!
Coco - hope its not a bug! Enjoy the pool :)
AFM - we had Whit weekend here in Germany - yesterday was a day off - we had up to 35 degrees and I spent a lot of the time in the paddling pool with my daughter like a beached whale!! Felt pretty shattered in the heat despite a nap. We had a huge thunderstorm last night so between ensuring house + garden were storm-safe, a very hot bedroom, peeing all night and LIttle Sue waking up at 5 declaring hungry it was a crap night and I'm shattered. I've been getting light cramps on and off (nothing regular) since yesterday so keeping an eye on those. Am assuming they are BH's? They hurt a little though - are they supposed to? I managed to wash all the baby clothes and in the heat they were dry in 1 hour - one biggie ticked off the list early!! 4 weeks left in work which is good as I would not be surprised if this baby is coming early - like Little Sue in the 37th week- which only gives me 8 weeks :)
Hi to all later xxxxx

WW- sorry you're feeling down. Fingers crossed baby comes soon.
Hope you enjoy your lazy afternoon imp.
Paddling pool sounds great coco, enjoy!
Love the line of washing sue!
AFM had a lovely birthday yesterday and looking forward to my mum visiting at the weekend. Busy day marking exams today. Hi to all who follow.

Big congratulations to SG!
Really hope the silence from Wispa means baby news is on the horizon!
WW - really hope the pains come to something for you today!
Imp - hope your appointment goes well today.
Coco - enjoy your relaxed day, hope the sickyness was just a one off!
Sue - loving all the baby washing! Hope it cools down a little for you!
AFM - find myself getting on here a lot less than when I was at work all day, oops! Yesterday I went and saw a fellow pregnant friend which was great. Today it is supposed to be rainy so going to get the dog out for a quick walk before the heavens open then have a day of sorting bits around the house, hopefully interspersed with some relaxing! Have been getting the odd aches and pains but don't think they are going to amount to anything just yet. 10 days to go and I already want baby out!

Wispa - if you're reading this mega HJ out vibes coming your way!!
WW - sorry Friday was bad, I'm glad yesterday's was better for you. Sounds like the pains could be the start of something though so I really hope you don't need induction this Saturday. Brilliant news about being able to have a normal delivery though! Baby out vibes to you.
Imp - hope the appt goes well. Keep us posted? Lazy tv afternoon sounds like my kind of thing. I'm really hoping it does rain, this heat is doing me in! Feel like a right miserable cow moaning about it though...
Coco - hope you're not coming down with anything, last night was horrible and muggy so hopefully it was just that. Paddling pool sounds like an awesome idea! I have now added that to the list of house must haves!
Sue - the washing line looks amazinng! Do you know what you're having? Sorry you didn't get a good night, I feel bad for moaning about our 23 degree weather if you've been suffering in 35! Jeez.
RC - hope the marking goes ok. Sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned with your mum, roll on Friday eh?
Vix - hope the aches and pains are the start of something for you. Make sure you do relax! Housework is no fun.
AFM - I had quite a nice shopping experience yesterday as I ordered a dress for my friend's wedding when I'll be 39 weeks and its sooo comfy with room to grow. Very happy about that, goold old new look. I had tried on some other stuff before and it all looked horrid so I'm glad that's sorted. Tonight will consist mainly of tackling our bedroom and shoving clothes into bin bags. After that there's really not much left! Just hope unpacking on the other side will be as easy. Baby is still squirming loads which is lovely. And squishing my bladder and bowel which is less lovely.
Hi to those that follow!

Hi ladies! No, I haven't just skipped ahead a few weeks and joined 3rd tri.. I am in fact here with an update on wispa.
Her contractions became more regular last night and she went up to the hospital around 11pm last night but she was only 2cm so they sent her home again.
But by 6am she was back in hospital, at 9am she was 5cm dialated and she has just had an epidural put in.
I'll keep you posted as I hear more but hopefully not too long till the gorgeous Holly Jolly enters the world!

Hello ladies. I'm sure this can't be the right place for me as I don't feel I'm pregnant enough yet!
WW - So sorry to hear things aren't going well, I hope baby surprises you today and doesn't keep you waiting too much longer. Must be really frustrating getting different people telling you different things all the time
Imp - Hope consultant appointment goes well and you get some answers regarding labour/birth.
Coco - The heat is killing me in the evenings too, get hotter and hotter then throw up so you are not alone in the heat = sick!
Sue - Love seeing a washing line full of baby clothes, seriously cute :D
Raincloud - Pleased to hear you had a lovely birthday, hope your mum's visit goes well too x
Vix - Hope you manage to get your feet up. Not sure about weather here but if it rains I'll be secretly pleased as had enough of the heat!
Jonesy - Well done finding a dress! I struggle just finding t-shirts so I'm impressed!! Hope there isn't too much organ squishing happening today
Maltesers - Hello! Fingers crossed for Wispa - can't wait for more updates!
AFM - Totally feel like I'm gatecrashing the place where ladies have babies. I can't be far enough through for all that sort of talk yet surely? :O I'm a bit hit or miss with posting so apologies if there is a few days gap between my posts each time. I will try and be on as much as I can. We've been at the inlaws for 10 days now and I can't wait to go home tomorrow, as much as I love seeing them I just really, really need my own space and I'm looking forward to having my own bed back!
10/06/2014 at 14:05
Maltesers - that is awesome news! Come out come out little HJ!! We want to see pics
Hi PS! Well done you managing the in laws for 10 days. I am impressed. 3rd tri is scary but you get used to it very quickly so welcome!xx
10/06/2014 at 15:31
Hi ladies, latest update is she is incredibly chilled out in hospital, no holly jolly just yet and they haven't checked her in a while so not sure how many cm but she's quite happy and relaxed as she is just now!
10/06/2014 at 16:46
I'm pleased to see that Wispa is on the way to meeting HJ! Come on baby, time to meet mummy now.
Coco I hope you enjoyed the paddling pool. It rained here a little bit but not enough to clear the air. It's still boiling!
Sue they sound just like BH to me. Well done on the washing, i love your photo!
RC happy birthday for yesterday!
Jonesy i'm glad baby is wriggling away, even if it is pushing down on your bladder! Good luck with the last of the packing.
PS welcome to 3rd tri lovely lady, you'll get used to it very quickly! I felt exactly the same and I'm not far off the top of the list now! eeek!
Well the consultant went well. She wasn't 100% which way HF was so sent me for a scan to check. HF is firmly head down which is good news. They're measuring approx 7lb already though, so I'm on for a whopper I think! eeeek! She has also discharged me back to the midwives care and has booked me an appt at the birthing unit to make sure they're happy to take me. Happy days all round.
