    Good morning!

I'm off to the dentist this morning, yuck! Then I've got to see my boss this afternoon so I'm hoping everything's ok.

The he boiler is fixed, wahoo! But the floor is pretty ruined from the washer, sad times.

Baby wise not much to report, only 6 sleeps until the big scan.

Hiya imp, glad e boiler is fixed.  Hope you don't have to have much done at the dentist other than a clean!

AFM, viability day, baby!  I can't believe I'm already 24 weeks, it's so strange, and facetiming with my sister yesterday was just bizarre, because there she was recovering with her little man 3500 miles away, and she said that it was going to be me in a few short months!  I know I only posted about it on Facebook, but she had her second boy by c-section on Monday, was feeling completely fine, up and walking around yesterday and wondering why she had been upset to have to have the op.  Taking to her just reinforced my desire to fly home with baby just to see family within the first 4 months.  Maybe Canadian thanksgiving,,,

Anyways, anyone have plans for valentines day?  We aren't doing anything, but I'm meeting a friend for afternoon tea as she is in town from York. Yum!

Missed you, Monnie.  My tummy only felt tender after aquafit last week, and I'm pretty sure it's because I was using my core muscles when I haven't in so long.  Maybe seem thing you've been doing has done the same?  Good luck with the diabetes clinic!

Morning, so sorry I haven't been around much lately, by the time I get in from work it's normally too late to post, I wil try and be a better MDer though!

Imp, glad you're boiler is fixed, especially in this weather! Hope your scan comes around quickly

Monnie, my tummy feels the same, like if I turn over in bed or lean forward it's very tender, almost like I have to hold it and im only 17 weeks! Maybe it's due to the stretching? Good luck at the clinic.

Wispa, happy v day! No real plans for valentines, we don't really celebrate it as a couple tbh but Im going to cook a nice meal on the sat as we're both off work - a recipe I saw on this morning yesterday - salmon wrapped in flio pastry with leeks and mascarpone, yum!

Afm, not much to report baby wise, got a little bump going on now which is lovely. Got my anomaly scan date through for when I'll be 21 weeks so have to wait 4 weeks yet gah!

We don't really celebrate valentines day either, but I was thinking about it this year as it's our last as a lonely couple!

CO, the 4 weeks until scan will go really quickly!  Exciting, though :)

CJ, as it stands we don't have plans to go back to North America until Christmas 2015, by which point Jenny's little guy will be almost 2!  So, I think I'm going to have to take a week or so in September or October of this year to head home and let baby meet the cousins.  There is a slim chance I might go back end July/ beginning August, but that's going to be quite tight, and probably more expensive to fly then.

As for cars, we have a Nissan Qashqai+2.  I really recommend the normal Qashqai.  It's the same frame size as a normal car, though it looks like an SUV it's nowhere near as big.  We have the bigger one because Wispa takes up the whole boot!

Mon we have laminate, so it's warping at the edge of the boards.  The bad thing is that it runs through the entire of the downstairs apart from the downstairs loo.  So an expensive job.

I hope the appt has gone well.

    Wispa happy V day!

CO, nice to see you.  Glad you've got your appt letter through now, something to count down to.

CJ- I hope the car isn't too pricey to fix.  I have a new renault clio and I love it.

Urgh, well I need a root canal.  I am dreading it already and feel a bit sick at the thought of it. At least it's free.

I'm on my phone so hard to do personals but hello everyone :-)

We have just ordered our nursery furniture! Today was the last day of it being discounted. So surreal!

Not a lot else to report... I've been signed off work for stress and am trying to recoup but its hard to switch off. My hearts still going ten hundred miles an hour - and it's still for the same reasons ie at some point I have to go back to it all. Doctor advised that when I'm thinking straight H & I need to discuss our short / long term plans and whats best for our family.... think he may of been getting at whether its in our best interests for me to go back? I'd never not intended to go back, even after maternity leave so its all quite scary if I'm honest!

H has an interview today so please all keep your fingers crossed for us! Xxx

Hi Pep, I've been hoping you'd pop on. I've been thinking about you.  Maybe a few daya down the line you'll feel a bit more relaxed as a bit of distance from work might help.  I'm glad the docs are on your side and they are right that you need to think about what's most important.  For now, just take each day at a time and don't feel under any pressure to decide or do anything.

How lovely to have ordered the furniture, which one did you go for?  Flash/link us up.

    Morning,

Imp root canal? oh bums. Do you have a date for that? Hope it's not too bad and the meeting with the boss is nothing too scary! I'm sure it will be fine. Bad news about the floor but at least you have will hot water again!

Monnie - hope your appointment went well. I don't have a sore tummy but I'm quite far behind you and have virtually no symptoms at all so I am no help! Sounds like it is a normal thing though.

Wispa - oh it must be so hard to be that far away. I'm a good 6 hours drive from anyone on my side of the family and I find that hard enough. Erm no plans for valentine's until H mentioned setting up an indoor picnic as a suprise Friday night. Not so much of a suprise now you've told me love! We don't tend to do much anyway as we are not the most mushy of people. What are you doing for it if anything? Happy viability day too!

CO - OMG that salmon thing sounds lush. I want that right now please. I can't wait for my podge to get more bump like. And 4 weeks will fly by I bet!

CJ - sorry to hear about the car. I think we need a new one as we have a 3 door golf GTI but it's the only car H has ever wanted so we might find it a struggle to get anything else that he deems "acceptable". I think he said a 5 door diesel golf is his only alternative. Sigh. I wouldn't mind a focus or something, they look quite kid friendly?

Pep - oh lovely! Did you get it all? Thats a big tick off the list then. How exciting! Really hope the time off work does the job. You need to make sure you're happy and well so take all the time you need and don't feel guilty. Fingers crossed for your H.

AFM - still not feeling in any way pregnant. The bump that was forming has slowed right down so obv I'm now worrying. I have my 16 week appointment in 2 weeks so not long to wait for reassurance. I am peeing all the time still but I am not sure if it is baby if it should be that low down? It's either the baby, my uterus or some other organ/growth that I can feel right between my hips but google has not provided me with any answers. Any ideas from you guys? I'm a natural born worrier so I'm aware I'm probably being stupid...

Also this weather is PANTS! Will the rain ever stop? Ugh.

Ooh, imp, don't worry about the root canal too much.  I had to have one about 5 days before my wedding and it wasn't that bad.  Two appointments to clear and fill the canals, and I went back 5 months later for the half crown (which was indeed free thanks to pregnancy!).  It's really not that bad, hopefully at worst you'll have a sore jaw and an achey tooth for a couple days.

Good to see you pep, I'm glad you've been signed off.  It'll take a while to relax, but I hope you're feeling better soon.  Would love to see the furniture you've bought!

Jonesy, I love the  picnic idea, doesn't matter if it's no longer a surprise :). I wouldn't worry about the baby feeling low down in your hips your uterus won't be very high yet, and it's squashing everything else.

Thanks Imp. You're right, I need to stop thinking ahead and trying to make decisions about what to do etc! Its nice to have people on here to talk to as I haven't really told anyone other than H & Parents about how I'm feeling.

    Here is the furniture; www.mothercare.com/.../psU2152-1,default,pd.html

Just the cotbed and draws though - its going in a room with a built in cupboard already in place which I'm going to turn (try to anyway) into a wardrobe!

Pep, I love the harrogate furniture!  I had it shortlisted for ages, but our nursery is quite small, so we've opted for a smaller cot from ikea.

Jonesy I agree with Wispa, baby is really low down still so you'd expect it to be below your hips. When I use my Doppler the baby is really low down still.

Wispa thanks for the reassurance about the root canal, I have a real phobia of the dentist so honestly I'll be a nervous wreck, but thanks for trying.

    Lovely furniture pep.

Hello ladies, hope everyone's ok. Sorry I'm not doing personals today, I'm busy at work, but will be out at yoga later so if I don't post now I won't post at all. Nothing exciting to report here, meal out last night was lovely, Attila's all good. I'll try to post more tomorrow!

Sorry I'm late to the thread today, and quickly popping I'm on my phone pre O's bedtime so no time for personals sadly but promise I'll be a better poster and will be here with personals tomorrow. Hope everyone is ok. Thankfully a much better sleep last night and I is like a different boy today, far far happier  and his new favorite word is...BABY :-) I've not suffered from nausea/sickness in either pregnancy to date but today I feel rather green, hoping it's just where I've not slept much this week. In other news, our house move is on, and likely to be in April...best get me  packing :-) x
