I feel a bit more relaxed after yesterday and we even went and bought some teeny weeny baby grows last night, so cute! It's our first baby purchase as up until now we didn't want to believe it. I slept ok last night, still woke up at 4am but managed to get back to sleep so can't complain.

Morning lovey, sorry didn't get a chance to post y'day but just wanted to say I did check back like mad y'day morning and saw your post. Brilliant news lovey, I'm so pleased for you both! O was an upside down acrobat at all his scans too! He was permanently in headstand mode! Lovely that you bought some babygrows y'day, it most definitely is real!! I absolutely love seeing the names on the Tri threads at the mo, they're just awesome with everyone who's on them!!xx

Thanks MDD, it means a lot that you look out for me (and the others). I hope you and the little man are doing ok?

Awww imp I'm so pleased for you Hun xxx
Afm H is on nights this week so has decided I should have a lie in and he will take me and pick me up from work, so today I got up at 7.45 and it was bliss, it made such a difference!!
Also we know currently the baby is breech so her kicks are very low in my crutch ( this is why I forbid my MIL from feeling the kicks haha) last night I think she decided to stand up on my cervix and do a merry jig! I had no idea what was going on and even got out my contraction timer haha
29/01/2014 at 08:22
Also I nearly forgot, my friend gave me her angelcare doppler, i read reviews and they seem pretty crap but I thought I'd give it ago considering I'm further along, and we found her first try, it was lovely xxx

I honestly can't tell you how happy I am to see you on 2nd Tri. I think I will be more excited for you BA than my own! Were doing ok, O has reflux and colic so we've had a few really tough weeks. He's on reflux meds now which seem to be helping so were just trying to get on top of the colic now. He's amazing and I love him to bits but the first few months are REALLY HARD!!!xx
29/01/2014 at 08:37
Sorry missed you monnie, I can sympathise with the low kicks and dancing, when O went breech I found the movements strange and sore!x
Mon I'm glad the lie I'm has helped. An extra hour or so can make all the difference. Lovely to hear the little lady's heartbeat too.
29/01/2014 at 08:40
Mdd I hope the meds are working their magic and he is feeling better. I'm sure you're being an incredible mummy.

sorry I didn't make it on yesterday, I had a fairly busy one, but I did check on you, which leads me to-
Imp, yayayayyayay, I'm so pleased the scan went well lovely, absolutely awesome news. Yay to feeling confident enough to buy some baby bits too, that's really nice. Are you planning to stay team surprise (I didn't see any mention of a gender, but I assume they could tell yesterday if they'd looked?)
MDD - nice to see you here! I hope the reflux improves soon - I do really sympathise as J was a refluxy/colicky/constantly crying baby and it's exhausting.
Monnie, big yay to both the lie in and hearing the hb on the doppler. I didn't bother getting one, but am quite jealous of you all hearing heartbeats regularly.
AFm, feeling fabulous this morning after a lovely chilled day with no tinking from J yesterday, a lovely meal out with the husband, and a complete night's sleep with not a single peep from J. Bliss! *and* I have a caramel shortcake for lunch which I'm really looking forward to. Life is good!
29/01/2014 at 10:27
Ooooh caramel shortcake sounds yummy SG! Glad you are feeling refreshed, what a difference a good nights sleep makes to the world!
We are staying team surprise. I am really tempted to look ay our next scan but C really wants a surprise so it's only fair if I don't. It will probably save me a lot of money in the long run as there is hardly any choice in gender neutral baby clothes, so less for me to spend my money on.
29/01/2014 at 10:31
mmm SG the shortcake sounds scrummy, love to hear your feeling fabulous, im V jealous haha
also iv just checked my blood sugars after breakfast and they were reading 10.1 which is VVV bad , they shouldnt be any higher than 7.7 so im currently waiting for the diabetes midwife to call me back, the nurse said they might need to bring my 12/02 appt forward now
29/01/2014 at 10:36
What will they do Mon? I'm a bit ignorant when it comes to diabetes.
29/01/2014 at 10:39
at the moment im diet controlled and i take some pills, but if my sugars are rising regardless of the diet then the next step will be insulin :-(
Imp, am so pleased that everything went well at the scan and how exciting to buy some baby bits! Think we're not going to find out the sex either, is hard though as there's so much temptation to find out isn't there!
Monnie, ahh how nice to hear the heartbeat, bet that cervix jig was sore, ouchy!
MDD, hello! Lovely to 'see' you!
Spikey, sounds like a lovely day/night for you yesterday, enjoy your caramel shortcake, yum!
Afm, not much to update really, have 16/40 appt next week then will be anomaly scan although haven't got the date yet. Still feeling sick on and off but I *think* it might be improving!
Have a nice day all xxx

Imp - I know I've already said it but I am SO excited for you! I agree with the being unable to spend money on gender neutral stuff haha, I have quite an abundance of white vest thingies in various monthly ages so I can get my baby shopping fix!
Monnie - glad you're feeling more refreshed! I'm terrified of being sleep deprived haha. How lovely that you heard the heartbeart :)
MDD - Hope your little one improves soon must be awful :(
SG - Yay for feeling fab! I love those days :)
AFM - Nothing much to report baby wise. Put my dates in for maternity leave yesterday so it's all very real now. I also have a load of annual leave to use between 1st April and 5th June so I will hardly be at work - first world problems hey?
29/01/2014 at 10:43
Cross posted CO - glad your sickness is improving :)
29/01/2014 at 11:04
CO I hope your sickness goes now, good that it's improving at last. You might get your scan date at your mw appt?
VT- I love that you're planning you finishing date. I can't wait to put that in my diary. How long are you planning to take off?
29/01/2014 at 11:40
I'm taking 39 weeks maternity but putting in the two weeks prior as annual leave and also working three part time weeks upon my retun :)
