Hope you are all well, I was awake an hour earlier than usual with hayfever :-( Luckily I only get it early mornings and not through the day. Still not nice though. Do I roast with the window shut or wake early with a snotty nose? Decisions, decisions...........................
26/06/2013 at 09:09
Sorry you're suffering with hayfever. I've escaped for this year I think but having had it in the past I know how rubbish it makes you feel. Personally, I would roast with the windows shut and stay snot-free - can you get a fan to keep you cool?
I'm working in London today and feel yuck. I got a really bad stitch in my side walking to the station then couldn't get a seat on the tube and it was packed :( I'm about to go down to our canteen and treat myself to a latte and a bacon roll I think. I will also be scarpering off early today if I can get away with it! Oh dear, I'm a right misery! Sorry!

LP- Definitely windows shut and get a fan! Luckily I don't suffer with hayfever badly at all but know how much of a nightmare it must be.
Popcorn- Packed tubes are bad, packed tubes whilst pregnant must be the worst! Definitely need a little breakfast treat after that.
AFM- We got our pram yesterday! We had been looking at the Mamas and Papas Sola. H's dad was buying it for us so he was happy to spend whatever but I happened to have a look on Gumtree and saw 1 selling for £110. Went to see it last night and it is immaculate. They had bought it but only had a Ford Ka and it didn't fit in the car so was hardly used. He said we could have it for £100 and that included the carry cot. I was amazed! We saved about £350. My parents are buying us the car seat and iso fix base so it feels like all of the big purchases are done now :)

Sam - great news about the pram, we went for the Sola as well. What a bargain you got!! What colour is it in? We went for denim stripey as we don't know the sex of LO and figured it was unisex enough.
26/06/2013 at 09:30
Popcorn- It's black which I initially wasn't too taken with as I thought I wanted a bit of colour but I actually really like it. What car seat have you gone with? I think we're probably going with the Maxi Cosi.

LP I really feel your pain! I was even starting to think that I was comming down with a bug as in addition to the sneezing and snot, ive got a cough (and now sore throat) and my ears feel blocked, as if Ive been swimming. H just thinks its the hayfever and because Ive normally taken something for it by now, iv never had it get this bad! It sucks!
Popcorn, hope you manage to escape eary! enjoy your breccie!
Sam that is a bargain! well done!! I havent even started to look at prams yet!
AFM- still suffering wih the hayfever! When I was in bed, a coupld of times when i sneezed I got twinges. I thought maybe it was my orange ricochteing around to the vibrations! This morning I was sat having breakfast and i did a huge sneeze and it hurt! I got a really sharp pain which was more than ricocheting!
26/06/2013 at 09:49
MrsBass- Sorry you are suffering with the dreaded hayfever too! It really isn't fair :( haha I'd never though what baby does when we sneeze. I wonder if it's like them being on the Playstation at Blackpool where it just throws you in the air suddenly!?
Just realised I'm now growing a Papaya. Went round to my parents last night and my sister said my tummy is big and I'm going to be huge haha. (I didn't tell her I'd had a McDonald's for tea and this might be contributing to it..)

Sam - Well done on the bargain Sola! We have our appointment at Mamas and Papas next week for a pram consultation. If we are spending that much I want to see EVERYTHING and try everything out :-) I want the plum and I am going with the car seat that matches. Most exciting!
26/06/2013 at 09:56
LP- Sorry to hear about the hayfever, hope it doesnt stop around too long
Popcorn - hope your latte and bacon roll made your day a bit better
Sam - Well done on getting that bargain of a pram
Mrs Bass - I know what you mean by the pain when sneezing i get a sharp tightening pain, all normal im guessing?
AFM - Im so tired, finding that the jet lag is really kicking in and im still in florida time. Had our scan on monday, found out were having a boy. All was fine with the scan apart from the first sonographer said his head was measuring a little small so sent us to see a consultant. The consultant re-scanned three times and said head measurments were within normal range. Got to go back in a couple of weeks just to check. Im trying not to worry myself too much because she said all was okay.

Sam - we went for the Aton car seat. It scored really well on the Which? ratings and Mamas and Papas had an offer that gave us £50 off if we went for the car seat and pram together. The maxi-cosi ones would have been my second choice though. Nice papaya - or should I say Big Mac? ;)
Mrs Bass - oh dear, boo to your hayfever :( I get twinges if I move too quickly or awkwardly, I think it's called round ligament pain. Do you have a 16 week MW app soon? You can always mention to her if you're at all worried.
MS - nice to "see" you, how was Florida? Congratulations on the little boy! I'm sure if the consultant has checked all those times then everything will be absolutely fine, understand that it's hard not to worry though. Hope the next couple of weeks pass quickly for you x
26/06/2013 at 10:20
Hi all, lots of hay fever around boo! to that. Luckily I don't suffer but H was streaming this morning I think this was probably my fault as I left our bedroom window open all night as I was so hot.
Mummysimpson so nice to hear from you. Oh a little boy how fab, we need a few more I think to balance things out, lots of girlies being grown at the mo. we found out we're having another girl. I would try not to worry if consultant has re scanned and she's happy. Hard to do I know. How was your holiday?
AFM all good with bump not a lot to report. Isla's napping at the mo will get out and do something with her after lunch not sure what yet though. x

Hi everyone. I'm 14weeks today (gulp!) so thought I ought to join the 2nd tri.
Wont attempt personals today but looking forward to getting to know you all. I am feeling lot more chilled out about this pregnancy now the 1st tri tiredness/queasiness has all gone and have got 12week scan and appointment about tearing out of the way.
26/06/2013 at 10:29
Sam that is hilarious!!
LP I didnt realise you could book consultations, how long do u get with them!
mummysimpson, it's reasuing to hear someone else gets it too! How exciting you are having a boy!! annoting that they had to send you to a consultant though. At least you get to see you little boy again in a few weeks!
Popcorn, i dod get twinges when i move too quickly or turn over in bed. It is probably just that. My next appointment is on Wed, will emntion it to here then.
Is everyone finding out or have found out what they are having? I think we are going to keep it as a surprise!
26/06/2013 at 10:32
Mrs bass we kept our first a surprise for the birth. This time we couldn't decide so I let my H decide in the scanning room and he wanted to find out so we did!
26/06/2013 at 11:06
MS- Congratulations on your little boy! Definitely need a few team blue in here to even things out a bit :) Hope you get back to good old UK time soon! As others have said I'm sure your baby is fine if the consultant checked 3 times. Good that they are re-scanning though just to give you that extra reassurance!
MrsB- Have a lovely day out with Isla whatever you decide to do.
HorseFan- Welcome! 2nd tri is lovely. Most of the worry from 1st tri is gone but D-Day doesn't seem to loom so close as when we'll go to 3rd tri :) Enjoy!
MrsBass- If you carry on your sneezing you'll have a right thrill seeker on your hands! We found out because we are just too impatient. I do like knowing that she is a little girl now as it means that the arguements about names etc and limited to just 1 list! haha
26/06/2013 at 11:17
Hi HorseFan! Welcome!! i think we have a few of the 1st Tri ladie sheading over over the next few days!
Sam, at least i'll have someone to go on rollercoasters with, my H hates them! :-)
26/06/2013 at 11:42
Mrs S - Congrats on your little boy!
Mrs Bass - Not sure but we were in the shop for 20 mins the other week and one of the assistants was with a couple for that whole time. It also means there is definately someone available to you and only you when you go in. There is alot to learn on some of these prams :-)
26/06/2013 at 12:39
MrsB - have a nice afternoon whatever you get up to.
HF - welcome!! Glad your queasiness is gone as well as some of your worries :)
Mrs Bass - we've not found out the sex, but I think I'm in the minority! The only wobble I had about it was when we were choosing our pram - the purple version of the Sola is just so cool!
26/06/2013 at 13:26
Popcorn - That's the one I want!
26/06/2013 at 14:02
LP - I think I remember you mentioning it before. It's such a lovely colour. Girlie without being too much.
