Hello ladies, I'm up really early on my day off as I've a hideous head cold and I can't breathe :( keep coughing and got goo coming out all over the place but getting no relief from it. So frustrated that every decongestant I can find says not to be used in pregnancy - so if anyone has any tips/ideas I'd love to hear them!! x

Morning PS. Sorry you're suffering lovely....Unfortunately there is very little you can do bar take paracetamol and use things like olbas oil/vick etc. Having colds etc in pregnancy socks (says she with barking cough and runny nose :'( ) Hope you're feeling better soon.
AFM - 2 sleeps til the big move, can't bloody wait to get my life out of boxes and set up in the new house...It feels like it's been going on forever now! Baby us super active and felt my first kick from the outside last night :-) Today we've a visit from my mum and dad which will be nice and help break up the waiting!
Be back later xx

Aww how lovely that you've felt baby properly kick (i'm very jealous - no movements at all here yet). Good luck with the move, hope it all goes smoothly x

Morning ladies :-)
PS sorry about your cold. No advice really though, I had a stinking cold all of January and couldn't do anything about it. Lots of rest, tissues, paracetamol, vicks and lemon/honey drinks are about all you can do. Really hope you feel better soon though xx
Coco, that's great about the kicks. I felt first movements a little last week which was lovely. Not regular or every day yet though. Very exciting about the house move. Bet you can't wait to be in and sorted.
AFM, consultant appt this morning. Not entirely sure why, but the NHS midwife had marked me for a review so I'm going. I think it's about my fibroids, which have largely been OK so far, but at the last private scan I had, one had moved low near the baby's head. NHS don't know this yet, but I'll take all my scan pics and reports and hope they are happy with those and don't want to rescan me. The clinic say no need or point until 34 weeks so I'd rather wait and go back there. I half wish I'd refused the midwife's insistence on some NHS involvement, since now I'm in a silly situ of seeing 2 different places and risking 2 different opinions. Ah well, we'll see what happens this morning.
Hi to all that follow, hope you have a good day xx

PS - sorry to crash!! My pregnsncy triggered a couple of sinus bouts and they really knocked me. Everyone gave me loads of great suggestions but 90% weren't okay for pregnancy and the others didnt seem to work. In the end what really helped was good ol' Vicks in a bowl of steaming water and a towel over my head to inhale all the steam. It's a major PITA but it was well worth me doing it for the relief I eventually got. Hope you feel better x

BF - Hope appointment goes well. No harm in second opinions in my mind, especially when it's regarding the wellbeing of baby ☺

PS - sorry you're feeling so pants. I don't have any suggestions for what you can take I'm afraid. Hope it gets better soon.
Coco - everything is so exciting for you - moving soon and baby kicks!!! Doesn't get much better. All the very best with the move. Hope it goes well.
BF - hope your appointment goes ok.
AFM - I haven't been here as much as I'd like but I believe its time for me to move over to 3rd tri!!!! Thank you for sharing the journey up until now and I'll see you all again on 3rd tri. Take care everyone xxx

PS sorry about the cold. Much as it is a pain I agree with Counter. Vicks in a bowl is really good! Hope it clears up soon cos not being able to breathe is mega frustrating.
Coco - 2 sleeps WAAAH!! Bet you can't wait. Have a lovely time with you mum and dad and yay for kicking. Has your H felt them yet?
BF - If it was me I would accept another scan if even just so I could see baby again. I'm jealous of those who get more than just 2! Hope the appointment goes well though.
CA - Another graduate! Best of luck for third tri and hopefully I will be seeing you over there in about 4 weeks. Take care lovely xx
AFM - some good news for once haha. H got last minute cheapy tickets to see Elbow tonight. I love them!! So excited. We will have to see if they will put him in the disabled area or provide a chair as he won't be able to stand for long with his cast. We have a gig on good Friday too so I need to ring the venue about getting the both of us seats. Hopefully they will take pity on the cripple and the pregnant lady haha. ECG tomorrow and I have to wear it for 5 days so I'm hoping there's not loads of wires so it can be a bit discreet, other than that no baby news really. Just ticking along!
Hi to those that follow.

Hello all, sorry I couldn't get on yesterday, long day.
PS - sorry to hear you're suffering, i had the same a couple of weeks ago - I just took paracetamol, some menthol sweets and slept a lot!
Coco - how exciting! I should probably know this but where are you moving to? Lovely to hear about active baby too.
BF - pretty sure a second opinion won't kill you and some consultants do NHS and Private so there's not a lot of difference sometimes
CA - good luck in third tri, by the time I join you, you may have had a baby!!
Jonesy - that sounds like fun, hope you get decent seats for you and H!
AFM - not much to report other than I am REALLY tired today, I think it's due to my manic day yesterday but I just can't keep my eyes open! I have a two hour meeting later, so that's bound to be fun!

Trying to get all my work don etoday and tomorrow so I can have friday off with the girls and then in the evening taking my mum to the O2 to see Miranda for Mothers day
