Nothing much to report from me. The kids are still waking at 5am but I made sure I went to bed early last night to compensate for the lost hour. I'm off to work today and I remembered last night that I've got a lesson observation so I'll be prepping for that this morning. I had to resort to using my maternity pillow as I just couldn't get comfy.
Hopefully I'll pop back on later. I hope everyone else is ok.

Hey all ,
Went to start. 1st tri thread and suddenly remembered Im here now (i think ?). Exciting!
DS - well done for getting to bed early.
AFM I am so tired i fell back asleep after alarm (no washed hair for me, yuck!) and a loooong day at work. Was hoping exhaustion would have gone by now as really not compatible with a v non9-5 job ha!

DS - hope the early night has made a difference. Good luck with your lesson observation later.
Rio - welcome to 2nd Tri! Fingers crossed it won't be long before the exhaustion stage disappears. I think it took until around 21 weeks for me to feel a noticable improvement.
AFM, LO is at nursery today so I'll probably just get some jobs done around the house and then put my feet up as I've been feeling a tad uncomfortable the last couple of days.
Hi to all who follow x
DS hope today's ok after an early start
Rio hope the tiredness wares off soon.
AFM I'm still on a high from yesterday, I'm so excited we're having a little boy I wouldn't mind either way but I'm just so excited we know! My mil and sil came over last night with 2 bags of clothes, they spent the whole day shopping after the scan. Was a nice end to the say as after scan H and I went into work and both fad busy days which was a complete anti climax!
Hope you're all ok xx
Sorry WG missed u there, take it easy today xx

Good morning ladies!
Rio welcome to second tri
DS - eugh 5 am wake up! Hope your observation goes ok
WG - hope you manage a rest
Mrs L - aw how lovely having a boy. Glad u had lovely day
Afm, proud mummy yesterday!! H made a frantic phonecall to my work last night as L was picked for the under 7s football team L was shouting in the background and so excited!! He got trainer of the week and made the team! He's got his own little kit now , so there was much much excitement last night! I have 6 5 year olds coming to play today, it was 8 but thankfully 2 can't come now! I shall be sat rocking in a corner whilst a group of giggly giddy 5 year olds absolutely terrorise me
Baby wise not a lot going on, 3 weeks till scan which I'm now beginning to dread, h has been away for 2 nights and says Iv got bigger since he last seen me grrr!
Take care all

Rf aww bless L you just be proud. Why u dreading the scan? X
18/06/2014 at 08:07
Mrs L I hate scans, have had a bad scan previously which resulted in numerous investigations then the worst outcome but baby looked 'well' to us iyswim, so I tend to just ask them not to talk through the scan and I don't look at it until the last few mins where they usually just show me the hb. I had a gender scan a few weeks ago and spent all that money not to look at the screen welli looked at the Girly but but nothing else. My h is coming with me though, I went on my own to the nuchal thinking I'd be fine but it was the sonographer at our bad scan who did it and I was hysterical so h coming this time
18/06/2014 at 08:42
Oh you poor thing, now I understand why you're dreading it. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the sonogrpaher is good this time round. It does make a difference to the scan I think depending on who does it. Hope you'll be fine xx
18/06/2014 at 09:14
O I don't want them to be good, just not to talk about 'naughty baby' or 'little monkey' which is quite patronising when its a medical procedure they are doing. I usually just ask them not to speak throughout and just let us know if issues arise. In a weird way having Williams sonographer at this baby's nuchal was good because I knew she had picked up abnormalities before so I knew to trust her if that makes sense, it was just the whole scan was full of flash backs. Arrgh! God if I could be knocked out for the scan then woke up after it I think it'd be sooo much better lol. At least il have h this time to talk about random crap to, like what needs to go on the shopping list etc

MrsL - how lovely of your MIL and SIL to go out shopping for baby, really sweet. My mum text me last night to say she'd also been out buying, can't wait to see what she's got!
RF - well done to L for making it onto the team! Bless him, he must have been so chuffed. I hope your day of entertaining lots of little ones goes smoothly, lets just say I don't envy you lol. I'm so pleased H is able to go to the next scan with you x
Well, that's F dropped off at nursery. I've just made myself a cuppa and now I'm going to sort through exactly what size sleepsuits we're going to need. We have a few plain white ones that F never did wear so we'll use them this time, although I'd forgotten just how much the sizes vary from shop to shop. I've got a Tesco sleepsuit for up 11lbs and an M&S one for up to 9lbs 14ozs. Guess which one is actually bigger. Yup, the 9lb one is bigger than the 11lb. Work that one out!

DS - hope you managed some good sleep and good luck with the observation
Rio - welcome to second tri! The tiredness will hopefully go soon,
WG - make sure you get some rest
Mrs L - we definitely need some flashes of all your cute boy stuff!
TRF - well done to your boy and vibes that scan is all OK and a better experience for you.
AFM - I have had one heck of a morning. When I went to the loo this morning, I wiped a load of bright red blood, which obviously scared the cr@p out of me! Went to the GP (DAU suggested I go there first as my hospital is a bit of a drive) and it turns out that I've had a cyst 'down there' that had burst. Delightful. Baby is wiggling away and all is well now, had no more blood, but am resting at home for today. Everything seems OK though. Phew!
Hi to all that follow! x

Hope you're ok Gavi I know how scarey it can be xxx
18/06/2014 at 18:45
DS: 5am ouch, hope it's not a long phase
Rio: Welcome to 2nd tri, hope your exhaustion goes very soon, it's not fun.
WG: Hope you had a good morning, you're having a girl this this time aren't you? If we were closer we could've swapped baby wardrobes!!
MrsL: how lovely of your inlaws
RF: Hope you survived today with all those toddlers. Well done to L for getting picked for the team, how exciting. So glad to hear that your H is going with you to the scan, take care x
Gavi: How scary, but glad it's nothing serious, rest up
AFM: last night I spent awhile looking at my bump in the mirror, I remember it was around this time in my last pregnancy that actually started to believe I was pregnant. It just seems such a miracle. He's starting to move a lot more which is lovely. Then today I clearly forgot I was pregnant as I walked to pick up my car from the garage (turns out a bus now runs half of the way which it didn't last time) so I walked nearly 50 mins in the heat (still hot at 5pm) & am knackered now!
18/06/2014 at 19:42
Gavi - god how scary, try to rest up. Will you be getting checked out at the hospital for follow up or has the bleeding stopped?
Bk - good on you for the walk but eugh! Maybe a nice cool bath/shower now??
Well I survived the invasion of the boys...just lol. O M G Iv no idea how the teacher copes. They were all vvvv giddy, Iv collapsed on the chair and made h do bedtime lol, it was funny though listening to them chat
18/06/2014 at 20:48
Rio - good to see you on 2nd tri, I hope you don't end up falling asleep after the alarm again!
WG - I hope you've had a restful day. I've always found kids clothes sizes weird.
MrsL - how lovely that you're having a boy, my MIL and NanIL did the same after we found out we were expecting a girl.
RF - bless L, you must be really proud. You know we're all here for hand holding in the run up to your scan, glad your H is going x
Gavi - how scary for you, I hope you've had a restful day x
BK - that's annoying about the walk, I hope you've cooled down now.
AFM - my lesson observation went really well, so I'm pleased. I've been feeling shattered all day and I think I'm coming down with something, great. I'll probably end up having another early night and I've pinned up the blackout material against the skylight in the kids' room, so I'm hoping the won't wake up at 5am again *fingers crossed*!
