Morning all, didn't see a thread so thought I'd start one!
Got my whooping cough jab this morning. My sister who is 40 weeks pregnant, has had her show this morning and has period type pains so I might have a brand new nephew very soon! I'm so excited :)
Baby out vibes to those that want them and good luck CJ for your scan today xxx

Good luck with the jab! I found mine didnt hurt as much as I was expecting. Ah good luck to your sister and loads of baby out soon vibes to her!
Hope the scan goes well CJ and you can keep your little girl on the inside a bit longer.
AFM - had our last parenting class last night so that's us ready...*ahem*. H put the carseat in this morning, mainly to get it out the house I think but it looks so cute!
Hi to those that follow and baby out vibes to those that need them!

Browny - good luck to your sister! Hope the jab isn't too bad.
Jonesy - enjoy your last parenting class :)
AFM - Midwife went well yesterday and we got our stroll and weekly ice cream! Now we have cloud and a breeze and possibly rain later - yay! No idea what to do today but at least it's cooler :)
Hi to those who follow!

morning. Happy Hump day!!!!
CJ - best of luck for your scan today lovely xxxx
Browny - Hope you're ok after getting your jab this morning. Very exciting that your sister is starting to feel something happening. Hope its quick and your little nephew gets here safely.
Jonesy - its good to get the parenting classes out of the way. Its hard to feel ready after them right enough lol. Yay to getting the carseat in this morning. There will be a little baby in there soon!!!!
AFM - I'm still not sleeping great so I'm pretty tired. I've got lots of plans today for stuff to do around the house but I'm going to take my time. Baby CA is very active and keeps going all the time. I'm not sure if they actually sleep?!?

Morning all. Exciting now the last June baby has arrived safely and we're onto the July list. Scary that I'm now 10th in the queue!
Browny that's lovely about your sister. All the prayers and vibes in the world for the safe arrival of your nephew. Hope your jab goes well, mine didn't really bother me at all, just a day of a mild bruised feeling.
Jonesy, you sound nicely organised. Must get hubby to put our seat base in, since its box is currently littering the dining room.
Ixia, glad you had a nice day yesterday and the midwife went well. Hope you manage to relax in the cooler weather today.
CA I sympathise with the insomnia. I have similar problems and can't even take the sleeping tablets the consultant gave me at the mo since I have a pulled muscle in my neck and don't dare risk sleeping awkwardly on it in too deep a sleep in case it seizes up worse overnight. Take it easy today, house things can always wait if you need to rest.
AFM, tired and achy as above but nothing really new. Hypnobirth class was OK last night but I am going to struggle with some of the concepts. Main problem is that the "relaxation" music just grates on me, I can't stand it. I asked if I could substitute something that does relax me (either sounds of the sea or birds, or rhythmical music with a beat) but the instructor said no, I had to persevere. I'll speak to her again next week I think.
Quick question for you ladies by the way, from a first timer. Is it normal not to have any BH contractions? I am nearly 33 weeks and don't think I've had any. I also have no idea what they are like, and no use saying like irregular normal ones since I don't know what they are like either! Sometimes I get mild pelvic pressure like period pains, but not coming and going so I think that's probably more stretching? Any ideas?

Jonesy - must feel more real now! Do you have anything left to do?
Ixia - glad you managed to have icecream yesterday! At least it's a bit cooler today :)
CA - sorry to hear you aren't sleeping well. Chores can wait - have a nap ;)
BF - seems strange you can't have your own music - music is so personal! Hope you can come to a compromise. I've been trying to find some unbroken relaxing music but everything I find has lots of different tracks and that will annoy me! I have a 'nature sounds' app on my iPad where you can mix your own music - don't know if that's something that could help? As for BH, I think some people don't realise they are having them as they are often not painful. I think I've been having them for a while which my stomach feels rock hard, but not entirely sure!
My sisters pains are getting stronger but not regular yet. I'm on standby to look after my nephew if she goes in today so just a waiting game! My arm aches and was quite sore at first but seems to be easing off now.

Ixia - I'm loving the cooler weather. I feel so much more awake. it's fab. Long may it last!
CA - Hope you manage to get a nap in or something. I'd be picking that over housework every time.
BF - I know a lot of people have said they didn't get them and like Browny said they can be virtually unnoticeable. I think Wispa said she only knew she ever had them when the mw pointed one out when they were bump measuring. Mine are horribly uncomfortable so count yourself lucky! Also I know hypnobirthing has it's own cd and stuff but if you use the visualisation stuff I think that would work with whatever music helps you. They won't know!
Browny - oop how exciting!! Hope she's doing ok. Glad to hear your aches are getting better

Thanks ladies, that helps. Sometimes my bump feels firmer than others, I just don't feel it getting firm or going soft again. I don't think I really need to worry about it but I'll try to py more attention and see if I can detect anything. I think re the hypnobirthing stuff I'll do just that: nod and smile in the classes whilst using my own music/sounds at home. I like nature stuff but also Gregorian chant type music to get into that almost trance state. Don't want to be seen as the class troublemaker ;-)
I really can't seem to get motivated today. Done sod all except some dusting and sweeping, so should probably get my act together. Hubby due home late though (he's demonstrating a robot to some government people in London, or something, so he'll be on a late train this evening) which buys me some time.
Browny, keep us updated about your sister xx

I'm an auntie again! My sister have birth less than an hour after setting off to the hospital and it's a 20 minute journey lol. Her contractions went from not very regular to a minute apart very quickly! Lucky they set off when they did! :)

Yayy congratulations Aunty Browny xx. Lovely that your nephew will have a cousin close in age too!
