Morning all, how is everyone?
Horrendous weather here in Cornwall this morning, although supposed to clear up this afternoon, don't think I'll be doing a lot.
Bump is fine, feel at bit of a funny time with pregnancy now, too early to want baby to appear obviously but feel like I'm just waiting!

BE, hope the rain does one soon!
LP, hope the splints help mrs robotic hands!
Afm, on my way to a logistics conference, yawn

BE hope the rain clears up, sounds like a sofa and DVD day otherwise!
LP that sounds sore! Glad they helped though, although I did chuckle at your description!
Mrs P I hope that's more interesting than it sounds, either that or it's a quick day!
Not much from me, had the midwife y'day and bubs is doing well, measuring exactly 28 weeks and super strong heartbeat. She drained me dry for bloods and I got booked in for my whooping cough and flu jags. I can hardly wait!

BE - Won't be too long to wait until baby's arrival hopefully. Snuggle up on the sofa with a cuppa and enjoy the fact that others have to go out in the horrible weather but you can stay inside in the nice warm
LP - Make sure you flash a picture of the lamp shade if you finish it today. Glad your getting some better sleep now terminator arms.
Mrs P - Hope your day isn't as boring as it sounds.
MissDD - Glad the midwife went okay. Shame you've got to be stabbed by needles, but it won't be for much longer.
AFM - Midwife this morning, hoping that baby is a good boy and still head down, he would be a super good boy if he is engaged too. Here's hoping anyway. I feel soooo ready for him to come and don't want to go over due.
BE - I know what you mean about it being a funny time. It felt nice to get to 37 weeks yesterday. Won't be long for you.
LP - glad the splints are helping, sounds like a nice relaxing day for you.
Mrs p - hope the day goes quickly for you.
Mrs DD - glad the midwife appointment went well.
Afm - 37+1 today, not much planned. Just dropped I at nursery so have a nice relaxing child free day. Might start getting I's overnight bag ready and do a bit more washing. Was going to think about some batch cooking too but not sure i can be bothered to go to the supermarket. I have a lot of British bake off to catch up on too!!!

Ms - good luck at the midwife and lots of engaged vibes for you!!!
16/10/2013 at 09:01
BE- I know what you mean about waiting. Also very strange that things could happen at any time! I like to be organised so would be much happier if baby could provide a date and time she plans on making an appearance!
LP- glad the splints have helped. Is it something that is going to magically disappear again once baby arrives?
MrsPenguin- enjoy the conference! Hope it goes quickly for you.
MissDD- glad all went well with MW yesterday. Rubbish being booked in for your jabs but at least its one less thing to get out of the way.
MS- let us know how the midwife goes. Feels really strange us all talking about births now, I still don't feel ready! You're more than welcome to jump the queue :-)
Banzy- enjoy your relaxing day. Forget the cooking and put your feet up!
Afm- I had a nap yesterday and think I over slept as had a terrible nights sleep possibly down to oversleeping! Meeting H for lunch today and SIL's coffee shop and then meeting friends and their new baby tonight. He was due the day before our baby bit was born prem so is going to be really strange seeing him knowing that he is thw same 'age' as our baby who is still to show her face!
16/10/2013 at 09:46
BE- its rubbish here in Bristol too, wet and windy, yuck!
LP- glad the splints are helping! Don't forget to flash the lamp shade!
MrsP- i do not envy you!! Try not to fall asleep!
missdeedee- I had my jabs and GTT the same day, the excitement was almost too much!
mummys- sending some behaving baby vibes for your appointment
Banzy- Bake off should take priority every time!
Sam- enjoy the baby cuddles later
AFM- had NCT last night and we did breathing exercised for labour. i got the giggles! H used to teach Tai Chi so is "in the know" about breathing and relaxation and was taking it very seriously! Im worried he is going to be telling me off whilst in labour for not doing ti properly!
I had a horrible walk to work this morning. I thought I was getting a stitch, then it was more cramp under my bump then it just turned into pain. It was constant for about 20 mins but had waves of getting really painful. My back was aching and I even felt a bit sick. it was not pleasant.
It is a pretty steep walk to work but I though only having to do it on 3 days, i would manage, I think bump was telling me to start taking the car.
16/10/2013 at 10:12
MrsBass- take it easy with the walking! It was last Tuesday I took the dog for 2 very slow walks thinking I'd be fine and the pain has only gone away to the extent where I can move without wincing the past few days. It's hard because some days I still feel like I can do everything as normal but our bodies and babies obviously have different ideas!
16/10/2013 at 10:21
Good news! Baby's head is fully engaged. So im off into town to have a ponder round the shops and treat baby to a chocolate bar or chocolate cake.

samjh87It's hard because some days I still feel like I can do everything as normal but our bodies and babies obviously have different ideas!
This is exactly how I feel!!
I think I might start driving Mon & Wed and walk tues so i still get some exercise. I just plan to sit at my desk for today and I'll have a lazy day tomorrow!
MummyS- that is great news, I hope you and baby enjoy your chocolate treats!
16/10/2013 at 10:46
Morning! In a bizarre twist I now can't log on here on my laptop but can on my phone - let's see how long that lasts. So short and sweet from me today I'm afraid!
BE - time flies by in a scary fashion, soon you will be full term and then it will hit you that baby is coming pretty soon!
LP - ooh interesting to hear about your robotic arms, is carpal tunnel a tingling in your hands and waking up unable to feel them at very frequent intervals? This is happening to me so I want robotic arms too.
MrsP - hope conference isn't too painful.
MDD - yay for strong heartbeat, I still love reading your updates so much :)
MummyS - only thing better than an engaged baby is an engaged baby and some chocolate.
Banzy - I vote Bake Off marathon for you today.
Sam - enjoy your lunch.
Mrs bass - take it easy lady. I am usually guilty of doing the same so can't really talk though!
AFM - I am definitely getting into the sleeping patterns of a mum. Out like a light for a couple of hours then awake for a while, but each couple of hours is really good quality sleep so I feel wide awake even when it's 2am. Weird. The tingly arms are driving me crazy though. Midwife tomorrow so will mention it then. I'm going to see some old work friends at lunchtime today and that's everything I have planned, what else shall I do with myself?
16/10/2013 at 10:48
Sam - sounds like you have a lovely day planned. Enjoy the cuddles tonight.
Mrs Bass - take it easy with the walking, I still sometimes forget and walk too fast only to get a stitch and pain about a minute later!
MS - fully engaged!!!! Yay, we'll done baby! Hopefully my baby is listening and getting in position too, I'll have to wait till my appointment next Tuesday to find out though.

BE, I know what you mean, I finished work at 34+3 and it was like as soon as I was on maternity, I was officially 'waiting for a baby'!
LP, didn't realise the CT had got so bad, you poor thing. Hope the splints help. Flash us a pic of the lampshade later!
MrsP, conference sounds dull so I hope they feed you well (the best bit about boring conferences, I find!)
MDD, hurrah for good MW appointment yesterday!
MS, good baby for being engaged! I hope you don't go overdue.
Banzy, enjoy your relaxing day!
Sam, lunch and meeting friends sounds good.
Mrs Bass, definitely sounds like baby is advising you to take the car!
TT, hmmmm, lunch and then I suggest an afternoon nap ;)
AFM, tonight I'm going to watch one of my horses showjumping - I'm on camera duties. I'll probably be there for a few hours and it's a 30 mins drive each way so I'm trying to have an easy day so I don't struggle later. I need to pop to the GPs and ask for more gaviscon so will check the horses while I'm out, but otherwise nothing planned for today. The heartburn has got worse in the last couple of days and I feel pretty nauseous most of the time - baby isn't squashing my stomach any more so it's not that, I guess it's increasing hormones as we approach d-day! Bit yucky though.
16/10/2013 at 11:45
It's as dull as it sounds!
Glad the baby is engaged MS, have some chocolate for me too please! X
16/10/2013 at 11:48
TT - make sure you mention the tingling to the midwife, hopefully they can help.
Mrs 50s - make sure you rest up before the showjumping, enjoy!!

Just come back from a waddle around the shops. Got some more moses sheets and hangers so I can organise baby's wardrobe. Was very nearly tempted by all the lovely baby clothes but think H would kill me if baby gets any more clothes! Haha
