I am SO pleased for Custard, getting her BFP yesterday. I am just over the moon for her. Big congrats, lovely!
How are we all today?
10/04/2013 at 12:17
Ah, nearly thought there was no thread for a minute there. Delighted for Custard as well, lets hope its the start of a wee boom! I am not too bad Penny, how about you? I am on CD31, 10dpo my LP has in the past seemed to fluctuate between 14 and 18 days, so not sure what's going on there, but FF is suggesting the full 18 days before testing. I am contemplating doing it on 14 though
10/04/2013 at 12:33
Thank you ladies. Hopefully you'll be joining me soon :)
10/04/2013 at 12:46
I hope so Custard! It's so weird cos I was thinking about you last night and about how sure I was that you were going to get a BFP, and how disappointed I was for you that you got that CBD BFN - and then I heard your news, and was literally dancing around with happiness. I'm sure that my H thinks I'm weird, sometimes!
TT - Ha - there's no way I could wait until 14dpo with a chart like yours! You're temps are sounding so promising. 14dpo would be Sunday, right? I'd definitely test then. Just saying... ;-)
I'm ok thanks, still no sure what's going on with my chart. My IBS is playing up where I'm stressed at work so I can't tell if there's anything 'abnormal' going on in my abdomen cos I'm getting so many IBS twinges. Grrrr. My temp did creep up a bit today but I've also woken up with a cold so I'm not reading anything into that just yet. Although, if by some miracle I did actually ovulate yesterday, my 'intercourse timing' (thanks FF) would be terrible as we've not DTD since Sunday. And even then, I'm not convinced by the quality of H's little swimmers by that point cos we DTD twice on Saturday. Ah well. Whatever shall be, shall be. Until then, I'll just keep swimming.....

Hello lovely ladies!
Congratulations again to custard,
Penny, I'm no use with temping or charting so I can't offer any advice. Although, you never know, you may have caught it. I hope your cold doesn't turn into anything.
TT- I have got everything firmly crossed for you. I would probably try and hold off testing, only because I wouldn't want to see a bfn. What are you doing for your anniversary? Does it involve anything dangerous for pregnant women?
AFM... I am on CD19, I think I ov'd earlier this week or even at the weekend. So I think I'm on the 2 week wait. I used to have a cycle if 33 days do this looks like I'm on for a slightly shorter cycle this month. I'm not charting, temping it using opk's though so I could be totally out.
10/04/2013 at 13:30
Fab news Custard that's brillaint - my first BFP since joining the threads exciting!
Penny - sorry you're suffering at work and with IBS. On the work front anything I can help with? (HR bod here!) Hope you feel better soon and don't get disheartened by the chart. As an aside twice on saturday nice!
TT - I would totally test but as a newbie am quite excited to POAS - maybe see how you feel on the day but would be very exciting.
Imp - hope the 2 ww goes quickly and that with a relaxed approach this month you're on track - look forward to hearing how it pans out.
AFM I am doing OK - second day back at work and although I was shattered it has been good to get back into a proper routine and get back into the swing of things. Only one slight meltdown when I got the call to say Dad's ashes needed collecting so I think that's allowed. Not sure how many were on the thread yesterday but I've persuaded H that DTD helps me to sleep when I'm having difficulty so have primed him for more action throughout this week but have no idea what will be going on cycle wise. Think I may start temping or OPK's in June/July time but will see.
Hope everyone is having a good day xx

Custard that is amazing news congratulations!!
Penny so sorry to hear you have bad IBS at the moment it can make life feel pretty crap when your belly isn't right. I hope it starts to improve soon.
TT I'd also prob POAS early but as another newbie I'm just looking forward to getting to POAS!!!
Imp I hope the 2ww flies by
Grif if DTD is helping you sleep go for it, I always also thinking of maybe starting OPKs in July.
AFM, its cycle day 10 but due to a stinking cold I've not DTD yet this cycle, I need to get in the saddle though for this weekend. I'm excited for this weekend as we are house hunting and hopefully will be making an offer soon!
As a newbie to the TTC threads I thought it might be fun if we could all do a bit of getting to know you? What does everyone think, I'll start join in if you like.
Name - DollyP
Why did you choose your user name - I love Dolly Parton!!
How long have you been with H - 7 years married for 18mths
Do you have any other children - Nope this will be our first
Any Pets - 2 dogs who I absolutely adore
10/04/2013 at 14:04
Grif you sound as though you're doing really well all things considered. Look after yourself. I'm trying to take a relaxed (ish) approach to ttc too, for now anyway.
Dolly- I love that you are "getting in the saddle" ha ha!
Imp- or mrs imp on hitched. I chose it because my H calls me imp at home. It's all because of a stupid nicknames had at school.
We've been together 7 years in November and married for 10 months.
This will be our first child.
We have a cat baby called lizzy, I luffs her! She can be *** cat when she wants to be, but I love her attitude!
10/04/2013 at 15:35
Dolly - great news on 'getting in the saddle' this weekend - enjoy! also good look with the house it's very exciting looking round the houses and nosying!
Great idea on the getting to know you:
Name: Grif, it's the first part of my married surname - not very original!
We have been together for 10 years on the 1st November this year and married for 2 years on the 28th August
I'm 29 (30 in Oct) and Paul is 30 - we live in Northumberland, I work in HR and H is an officer in the RAF
This will be our first child but we do have a Basset Hound Archie (my avatar!) he's 6 and our absolute baby - such a terror but so much fun! We also have a rat named Belle, she is absolutely fearless and terrorises the dog on a regular basis, Belle jumped into a full bath yesterday for a swim!
Thank imp, it's good having a place to come on here and my family and friends are great too. Hope the relaxed approach works well and Dolly we'll be figuring out OPK's together it seems xx
10/04/2013 at 16:02
Imp - I hope that your cycle doesn't mess you about and that you get a decent LP.
Grif - oh big hugs for you. A meltdown is definitely allowed. Ha ha well done on 'priming' your H! Thanks for you offer of help, and I may need it in the next few months if I can get myself out of this place, but for now it's just a case of me having a terrible client to deal with and waaay too much work to do.
DollyP - yep, jump in that saddle! I'll do my 'getting to know you' below.
If anyone wants help with OPK's I'm a bit of an addict!
I'm 27 (28 in July), my H is 30 in less than 2 weeks. We live in North Kent/South London (depending who you ask) and this will be our first child.
We have no pets but I'm desperate for a kitten.
I work in marketing and hate my job but am staying for the security, for when we get our BFP. However seeing as I've got stupid long cycles and we've been TTC since November, I'm currently looking around for something new.
I used to be a lurker on Hitched, but did post occassionally.
10/04/2013 at 16:04
Back again! Thanks for your replies the other day, it was appreciated.
I'll start by answering Dolly's questions...
Name: because of my married name (not original either I'm afraid!).
We have been together for 3 and a half years and married since last June. I'm 30 and H is 33. I work in HR too!!
This will be our first child although sadly I lost our first baby 3 weeks ago due to a heart condition which was discovered at the 20 week scan. Which is why I'm back here. We conceived first month but I'm sure it will probably take longer this time.
We have a black lab who is nearly 3 and she is in my avatar.
TTC wise still spotting and need to test again to see if pregnancy hormones have gone. Hopefully they will have as I'm keen to start TTC again asap.
10/04/2013 at 16:12
Oh joining in!
I'm Rod. My cat is called Maggie-May so the hitchers chose Rod for me after being October11 for AGES.
We've been together 5 and a half years, married for 1 and a half of those.
I'm 27, H is 32.
This will be our first child together. I had a miscarriage last month so not my first pregnancy. H has 2 kids who we see a lot x Maggie is my baby right now.
TTC wise I dont know whats going on. I've had spotting and weird pinky brown stuff when I wipe. I just dont know! I'm CD24 think I Oved around CD16- 20. I've ordered a pack of 10 preg tests to arm myself for the next few months. x

Hello Mrs V. So sorry to hear what happened. We're always here for you. I hope that your HPT's start going clear soon.
Hi Rod. I hope that tyour cycle gets clearer so that you know where you are.
And..... to stick to the original format of the 'getting to know you', cos I wandered off track:
Name - Penny
Why did you choose your user name - it alludes to my surname and also to the fact that I'm married to a geek who has lots of geeky friends - a la Big Bang Theory!
How long have you been with H - 5 years - married for 1 in June.
Do you have any other children - No but I have two baby nieces that I adore like my own
Any Pets - Nope but I want a kitten
On the subject if newbies.....we had a discussion on here fairly recently about the way that some newbies feel intimidated by personals, and we had the thread going like a conversation for a while instead. I'm not saying that one is better than the other, just wondering what people's opinions are?
10/04/2013 at 16:25
Thanks for joining in, it feels fun getting to know a little more about everyone. My H and I are both 32 and I work in IT in what I sometimes think is the most boring job ever!! Here's a pic of my two girls as some of you have your pets in your avatar, I'm a very proud mum to them.
10/04/2013 at 16:29
Mrs V so sorry for why you are back here again, I do hope that everything works out for you soon.
Rod I could the pinky/brown stuff be a sign of implantation?
Penny I LOVE the Big bang Theory!!
10/04/2013 at 16:31
Hi ladies. CD27 ish I think. Somewhat lost track! I won't do personals, but I will answer Dollys questions ...
Name = Horsefan. Because I like horses! When I joined Hitched I owned 2 but the one in my avatar (Rusty) has sadly passed away.
Been with H 12years, married 2&1/2.
I have 1 child already. Lucy. She is 21months old and was a honeymoon baby (I.e. 1st attempt at TTC and it worked!). Been TTC her a sibling since last September, had a valentines day bfp but miscarried 5weeks later.
Just 1 pet - my horse Sam. Whom I've owned 8years exactly today. Ill see if I can upload a pic of Lucy 'riding' him .....

10/04/2013 at 16:38
HF thats a fab picture!! She'll be riding in the Olympics one day if she's started already!!!
10/04/2013 at 17:05
Lovely pics! Fab TTC pets (and child)
Thanks everyone for the lovely messages. I'm loving the getting to know you bits too.
Mrs V so sorry to hear your news, hope your time TTC again is short again. There seems to be quite a few people on here who have had a rubbish time of late, here's to spring bringing much better times xx
Rod the spotting could eb a good sign, fingers crossed.
HF - Hope Vienna was fab, and CD27 getting close ...
Penny - I love the big bang theory too!
In terms of personals putting newbies off I actually think they're nice and welcoming - everyone who posts is included and no one is deliberately missed off or excluded so it's a good way to get involved. I did lurk for quite a while but that was more due to not having anything to really add when not TTC rather than not feeling welcome!
10/04/2013 at 17:58
Dolly and Grif I did wonder if it was implantation but it's been going on a few days now so I don't think so. X
