Morning ladies. I'm getting rubbish at coming on here! I can't manage daily! How dare my life get in the way!
I read through yesterday's thread and I get my maternity bras from John Lewis. They're made by Freya. They're non wired t-shirt bras with the tiny bit of padding (you know the ones! Just so you can't see your nipple!) they're fab. I'm a 32f and they had a great selection of sizes. I'd really recommend a proper fitting too. (It saved me effort finding bras in the shop!)
Afm - we had a scan on tue (I can't remember if I told you all this!) and we're having a girl :) I've felt baby GIRL kicking lots over the past few days and last night h felt her too which was fab :)
We're off out to my BF leaving BBQ this afternoon as she's moving 150 away to live with her BF and do her teacher training. I'm going to miss her so much :( on the plus side I will be off lots to visit! :)
Tomorrow it's my nan in laws 80th birthday meal with all the family. We're off out for a posh Sunday lunch in mass.
Nursery is finally getting painted with actual colours (we had 4 coats of base coat to get rid of the nasty bright red!) that should be finished this weekend too :)
My brother, his GF and my niece are coming on Monday for a few days (we're basically a hotel while they explore the area!)
And Tuesday is the best day ever!!!! Also known as my birthday! ;)
Busy few days :)

Busy busy weekend for you, have fun! :)
Congratulations on the news of a girl!
Nothing to report here. 22+2. Got my nephew's 18th party tonight. Dancing with bump yay! :)

Custard, what a lovely few days you have planned! Apart from the BF moving away :-( mine moved away 2 years ago and I miss her like crazy, but it makes the times we do see each other special.
Chimpanzee, enjoy the party and bump dancing tonight!
Afm, I'm been taken out for dinner tonight but don't know where and my birthday tomorrow.
Have a great weekend all

thought i would pop on quickly before my weekend gets busy. (came on very late last night, if you didnt see, ive got my mum and godparents staying)
The plan is to head to the Harbour Festival today!
Custard, yay on team pink, how exciting, are you going to pick a name before she arrives? We decided to stay team yellow!
Enjoy the party Chimp! Hope the energy levels stay high for a good boogie!
Mrs P- Happy Birthday for tommorrow, hope you enjoy your surprise meal!
Baby is now the size of a cantelope! How do you get that (and anything bigger!!!!!) out???!!!

Custard - painting sounds like it's been a challenge - when we bought our house, the 3rd bedroom (which became our office, and is now going to be the nursery) had 3 black walls, a dark purple wall, and a black ceiling. Fortunately they'd painted on top of wallpaper so we could strip the majority, but the ceiling took about 6 coats of white to hide the black so I sympathise! Enjoy the BBQ today and Sunday lunch tomorrow.
Chimp, enjoy your party tonight! By the way, are you still planning a homebirth? Just being nosy!
Mrs P, how exciting to be surprised tonight! I hope you have a lovely meal.
AFM, feeling very lazy - not dressed yet! Hubby is still in bed, too. We're looking after my parents' dog for a fortnight while they're away and he's already found a hole in the fence and been in neighbours' gardens (he's a massive lab x GR and our little collie X doesn't ever escape so it's not like there's loads of big holes!) so once H is up we'll be heading to B&Q to buy wooden posts and some stock wire to fence off the bottom of the hedge (which is what he's wiggling under).
On the plus side, it looks like being a slightly cooler day, so not too horrific to be fencing in! Later on I have some horsey jobs to do as well and then I think I'll persuade hubby to go out for dinner tonight. 3 days of work left until annual leave, and as one morning is our last staff meeting until September, the boss is conducting it in a local restaurant along with scones and teacakes - marvellous

Ooh missed you Mrs Bass! Enjoy the festival today! I was slightly horrified at the cantaloupe stage as well, but I think it all relates to length rather than sheer size, because banana, papaya and eggplant seem less scary and they're later!
27/07/2013 at 10:45
Morning, custard congrats on a girl, glad the scan went well. I might have a look at those bras as I have a few Freya bras (normal underwired ones). Hope the decorating goes well.
Chimp have a good time tonight, I hope you don't get the drunk bump touchers! Lol!
Mrs P good luck with the camper today, fx for a buyer! I can't believe you've not said how the pram was!?!?' I hope you have a lovely time tonight.
Penny got your email, I'm having an issue but I'll email you back now! Hope your ok, I struggle to keep up with the thread during the week too and normally can't manage personals.
Mrs Bass saw your update last night, yay team yellow, hope you can get your H to look at prams!
Mrs 50s how funny of your parents dog! He's a proper escape artist! It's not cooler here today, it's boiling at the moment but we are forecast rain tonight so that's good! (Can't believe I just wrote that!)
AFM been out to walk the dog this morning and now hiding inside in the shade, it's soooo warm! I've decided I'm going to order some baby stuff today! Nothing major, just some babygrows and stuff. I was going to wait until after the 20 week scan but I've seen some stuff on offer and going to get a couple of things. I'm also going to get some wool today as my mums going to start knitting for the baby, so cute! Other than that, nothing much planned, dinner with my folks tonight as it was my mums bday during the week x
Good morning :)
Custard - Congrats on having a girl :) very busy weekend for you, enjoy!!
Chimpanzee - Hope you have a fab time tonight.
Mrspenguin - Happy birthday for tomorrow, hope you have a lovely meal!
Mrsbass - Enjoy the festival :) & can't imagine pushing out a cantaloupe nevermind a baby!!
Mrs50s - Hope you get the fence sorted :) & persuade your hubby to take you for a lovely meal. Very jealous you are starting annual leave soon!1
AFM - Stayed off work this week due to bleeding, all seems well now though. 20 week scan on Thursday, hoping alls ok. Have to wait in for a delivery today so going to potter around the house, once its delivered will take dog for a walk along seafront (hopefully will be cooler by then) & going to enjoy a night in of girly films & treats as hubby is away tonight.

Sorry Missdeedee must have posted at the same time :) enjoy shopping, very exciting buying first things, think I started around 16wks too. Hope you have a nice meal!
27/07/2013 at 11:19
Missdeedee- check out George at Asda, there was an ad int he Metro yesterday, they are doing 20% off all babywear until midnight tomorrow to celebrate Prince George!
Mrs50s, thatsounds like a great team meeting! are you going anywhere while your on leave? Plus, the size logic is reassuring!
Kelskii- hope you are ok! Sound slike a great evening! im looking forward to a chilled one like that tomorrow once all our guests have gone! having said that, i think mum might be staying an extra night as we get the keys to our new house on Monday (woohoo) and she wasnt to come for a nose!
27/07/2013 at 11:22
The pram is fabulous! So easy to put up and down and really easy to manoeuvre (I may have done a few laps of the house whilst making car noises). It's all put away and boxed up again now.
The campervan has sold, woo hoo! They've left a deposit and are coming back for it tomorrow. Will be really sad to see him go, but it's the right thing to do x
27/07/2013 at 16:36
Oooh MDD, give us a flash of what you buy!
Kelskiii, sorry you had a bleed earlier in the week - how worrying. I'm sure nothing is amiss though, lots of ladies well into the 3rd tri (and beyond!) had bleeds on and off throughout their pregnancies.
Mrs Bass, not going anywhere at all during our leave, but my diary has filled! H is off too, so we're hoping to get the nursery painted (we can't do anything until after 8th August when the plasterer is coming to skim it all as all the walls are shocking) and might finish painting the furniture as well. We also have all of our hypnobirthing classes in the fortnight we're off, and our first NCT antenatal class; then 2 different sets of visitors! It'll be a busy 'holiday'!
Once I've finished annual leave, I'm only back at work for 4 weeks (well, 18 days!) before I finish for maternity leave! I have so much A/L to use up I'm using another 11 days before ML starts which is why I have so little time left. It's a relief, I really love my job but I am exhausted.
27/07/2013 at 16:56
Mrs Bass I ended up spending £25 in George today and I'd promised myself I wasn't buying anything else until after my 20 week scan!!! Hope you had a good time at the festival
Sorry for being such a bad poster lately, I've had a really blinding headache for almost two weeks so tried to stay off the computer. I also feel like I've been hit really hard by Imps news, I know we all have... Today I tried the whole positive mental attitude thing and bought some things for baby from George at Asda and some bits from Smyths toy store, there was a voucher in the sun earlier this week for £10 off when you spend £50 so I got a bath, a mirror for in the car, a bouncy chair and a moses basket mattress (being given a moses basket and a playmat as well by someone who works with my dad which is really sweet). I have the code written down somewhere, you can use it online as well until tomorrow, would anybody be interested if I can find it?
Missdeedee hope you enjoyed your shopping. I think it was you asking about bras yesterday... I was a 32G before I got pregnant and been in non wired maternity ones since 8 weeks. In a month I'd gone up a back size and 2 cup sizes. I got properly fitted and they sized me at 36GG to give me a little growing room, I'm now 17+3 and now filling the ones I bought to the point I need to go up another cup size :( I didn't want to give up my wires either but been surprised at how much support I've got with these
Custard, sounds like a busy time, yay for team pink!
Chimpanzee, enjoy the party
MrsPenguin, happy birthday for tomorrow, hope you have a nice meal
Mrs50s I once had a full crown flat coat x collie that could still get through a cat flap! Hope your garden's secure now
kelskii, sounds like you have a nice day planned, definitely relaxing which is what you need,
28/07/2013 at 08:58
Oh Jem, headache sounds awful! It is completely gone now? Keep drinking loads of fluids, I've been amazed how much more I need to avoid headaches.
Where have you ladies been buying you bras? I was a 36E, went up to 36G in 1st tri and then 38F so I've been continuing to buy cheap £6 ones from Asda. I now definitely need a 40 back though, and I think 40F/G and Asda can't help me! I could do with just buying about 4 bras to keep me going; think I'm also going to have to abandon the wires. Not sure where to start - I like pretty bras (bright colours and patters rather than lace!) but at this stage it's all about the comfort!
I've also realised this is my last weekend in 2ns tri - I'll be moving into 3rd tri on Tuesday. Eek!
28/07/2013 at 09:24
It has now thankfully. it was a tension headache from my shoulders from being on crutches last week. just glad its gone and i feel human again!! Im wearing marks and Spencer maternity ones, only ones that didn't cost a small fortune that went up to my size!!
28/07/2013 at 12:25
Jem glad the headache is better, I've had a few the past couple of weeks too, it's awful and I am drinking crazy amounts to stay hydrated ( I know yours is from the crutches but I can sympathise with the pain.
Mrs P awesome news about the camper! And I was laughing picturing you making car noises walking round the room!
So ordered a few things online y'day, boots had an offer on for £22 off when you spent £100, then there is a july offer code for £10 off a £60 spend, so!
I got -
A microwave steriliser set with a couple of bottles and a dummy
The gro egg room thermometer
A bath thermometer
Pack of 3 white baby grows
Pack of 6 bibs
Pack of 3 bath towels (with the little hoods)
6 pack of Muslins
2 bottles of Palmers stretch mark lotion (trying to avoid them!)
A mirror toy thing for in the car (so I can see the baby when I'm driving)
Mum and me bath soak (supposed to help with pains and help you sleep)
Pack of wipes you can use on dummies and bottles
It came to just over £100, I then got £32 off and as part of the parent club thing with boots I got 10 points for every £1 spent so I got £10 worth of advantage card points!! So it technically cost me £60 which I was pleased with. The steriliser and gro egg would have been £50 between them.
Jem I've been feeling worried about everything too and trying so hard to stay positive so wanted to get a few things, don't know why!
28/07/2013 at 12:52
MissDeeDee what a lovely shop! It feels really nice to have a few bits, more real! I also bought a gro egg, of course with a penguin attachment!
28/07/2013 at 14:10
Mrs50s sounds like you have a lovely yet busy couple of weeks planned!! I always get mu bras from M&S
Hi jem- glad to see you mad euse of the discount! hope your headache is better?!
missdeedee that is quite a stash you got there!!
Well the heavens opened yesterday afternoon so the festival ended up a bit of a wash out but we took shelter in a pub so we all had fun!
Was driven a little bit mad my my mum and godfather fussing so much. insisting i ate and drank and sat down constantly! was driving me insane!
When we took shelter in the pub my godfather kept checking my shoulders and telling me they were still damp. Perfectly aware of that thanks! Mum wasnt too bad but i did have to actually use the phrase "i am pregnant, there is nothing wrong with me"
He admitted this morning he had over fussed over me, but didnt apologise!
they have left now and me, H and mum are finishing packing. we get the keys to the new house tomorrow! yay! Sure mum and i will squeeze in a trip to our local retail park for a mootch around mamas & papas & mother care too! :-)
