Morning all, I never seem to get back to the thread the same day, so apologies for replies being on the new thread! Noggin - definitely count the actual days as everyone has suggested - don't forget August bank holiday is in there! Custard - I love your bump, so cute! Why on earth did you have to give up your bed though?Popcorn - I'm praying for a cooler summer as well. Usually I'm a bit of a sun-worshipper, but I was out in it on Wednesday when it was 24 degrees and felt awful just at that! How did your H take the news?!Sam - hope the day went quickly for you, Any plans for this weekend? LP - I love Hexham, it's such a pretty little town. I hate Go Ape though, so would have been glad to have pregnancy as an excuse not to do it Mrs Bass - flubbery, love it!! I noticed my bump above the belly button increasing quickly even though my phone app kept telling me that my uterus was well below my belly button. I think the baby-bump pushes everything else up to create an over-large monster munch (or in my case crumpet) bump.Jellytot - sounds like a fantastic scan and how lovely to see her in 4D (even if she did look like plasticine!!) Will you have to have any other scans? Chimp - once you know the sex, will you tell people? Hope the thrush and water infection bugger off soon - pregnancy is so glam...AFM - the scan yesterday was perfect! The sonographer was just meant to check the skin over the spine (as baby was pushing its spine up against the top of the sac last time so she couldn't see), the feet (as it was pressing them together last time and wouldn't move) and the heart in detail (as it was tummy-down, in an awkward position AND had both arms over its chest last time!) but as H hadn't seen it since the 11 week scan, she basically did an entire anomaly scan again so she could point out all of the skeletal features, facial features, kidneys, bladder, stomach etc. Baby was booting me at the same time as the scan and it was amazing to watch it on screen and feel the kicks at the same time. It had been really active all day, and then after a while we saw it yawn and then rub it's face with an arm - just like a 'real baby' - so it hit home a bit that its all really happening! The sonographer gave us loads of pics for our £5 token as well. She also confirmed the sex, which the last sonographer kindly wrote down so that H and I could find out together - so it was great to confirm it Very difficult to keep saying 'it' when we know though - I hope we manage to keep it quiet for the next 18 weeks!

Lovely news about your scan. I bet it's weird to feel it move and see it move at the same time.
AFm- I didn't give my bed up, I just feel like I've been sleeping on the floor. Still a bit funny today but I think that's it now! Today we're going to Air museum for a look around. I'm taking my class next month so I need to know where I'm going. This evening the inlaws are coming round and bringing a Chinese takeaway. We'll either watch a film after or play something random like monopoly or cluedo!
Have a lovely weekend ladies.

Mrs 50s- sounds like a great scan! your H must have been so pleased that she showed you both everything again! Are you keeping the gender between the 2 of you!!! Good Luck! Im sure i would slip up!
Custard- sounds like a great evening, kinda wish I was doing something so chilled!
I had my leaving do last night which was fun! I started to wilt about 9pm but then i got my 2nd wind and stayed out with the last couple of drunkards! Was quite fun watching everyone else get tipsy! One of the guys informed me that my pregnancy boobs were looking great!
H has a gig last night a couple of hours away, they usual get back around 3am. I woke up just before 6 and he wasn't in bed. Checked my phone and no messages or missed calls. My brain went into overdrive and started to think there had been an accident or something on their way back. The other option was that he had got home, and fallen asleep in the arm chair! I went down stairs and there he was, dazed and confused "I can't be here, I went to bed" well, obviously you didn't, come on, up to bed! Never been so relieved to have as drunkard, dopy husband!
Got a lazy day planned to day then picking up a friend and heading over to our besties for dinner tonight! Of course Im the designated driver! Just hope he doesnt want to stay too late!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Mrs Bass - we're going to attempt to keep it secret! We've told people who have asked that we haven't found out, as it stops them asking. I don't think we could keep it secret if they knew we knew, as they'd always be watching for slip ups and it would make me paranoid!

Ah that is a good & sneaky plan! At least if you do slip up you can just say that you 'have a feeling' or something!
Had a nice dinner last night, cant cope with 2 'late' night in a row though! I woke up very snotty this morning and thought it was hayfever but ive been coughing a but too and feel a bit nauseous, which I haven't done it weeks :-( hope Im not coming down with anything!
After my sulking last week, I think that I have finally 'poped'!! It is still a bit squidgy at the bottom but is quite firm at the top! It going to be tricky to hide when I start the new job!

Hello baby! My tummy is feeling very firm at the minute too!
Hope you all had a lovely weekend (I totally nearly wrote birthday then! I have no idea why!).
I bought my pram and car seat today, a lot earlier than we were planning but the inlaws offered to pay for it all so we thought we'd get in before they changed their mind! We went for the bugaboo chameleon (sp?!) and the maxi cosi cabrio (or something like that!). The sales lady was very helpful and really lovely too :)

hello all, hope you've all had lovely weekends. We have been at my folks today for a BBQ and have eaten my body weight in food. Feel like my tummy is going to burst! Loving the idea of counting down days to mat leave by days rather than weeks. Once K breaks up for the summer holidays I know the time will go really quickly as I will be taking lots of odd days off to cover childcare. The way it works though is my leave starts just as she goes back in September. If only we could afford for me to finish at the beginning of the holidays it would make life a lot easier!
Can't believe I am off to Third tri next week!
