What's everyone up to this weekend??
We're out tonight for Lebanese food, can't wait. Then out for lunch tomorrow too. Lots of eating.
I might try to convince C to go to kiddicare today and scare himself stupid.,

Morning Imp! Enjoy your foodie weekend!
We went with friends to Kiddicare in January when we went up to the Midlands - they were amazed by the amount of stuff you could buy!
I'm working a late shift today and early shift tomorrow. The rest of the time I'll be staying in and avoiding the weather. It's awful outside :(
08/02/2014 at 08:37
Boo to working ixia! I hour the weather isn't too bad for you.
I've broached it with C and he said we can go, I'm going to make sure I get him out before he had too much time to think about it!

Imp, ooh, Lebanses? I've never had Lebanese before. We're headed to H's parents for a curry tonight, though. Celebratory curry now we've exchanged! I've never been to a kiddicare... is it worth going? I think the nearest one for me is in croydon, though, so not sure I want to try it...
Ixia, where abouts are you? For once the weather here has cleared up!
AFM, I'm so so so so so relieved we've exchanged, and I don't even care anymore that we missed out on our preferred completion date. And I'm enjoying the olympics already, despite the multiple cringe moments with EVERY Canadian snowboarder falling at least once. Still, Mark McMorris bagged the bronze with a broken rib, so can't complain
I did an aquafit class yesterday.. it wasn't an antenatal one, but I was assured it would be fine. Even though I avoided the ab bits they ache today a bit like I had done some ab work.... is that bad?! I've been a bit paranoid about it since yesterday as I haven't felt her move much, though I did get a strong kick last night. I'm sure it's fine, but I'm not liking this worrying!

I'm meeting a friend in town today but got nothing planned for the eve. Doing a 3 hour shift in the pub Sunday which will be nice as I normally do Friday nights!
Lebanese sounds lovely imp and yay to kiddicare! Although when me and H went to mothercare it was me that was freaked out haha. Which one you going to?
Ixia sorry about the weather and the working. Grim. Make sure you have a nice relaxing Sunday eve!
Wisp yaaaay finally! And now I also want curry. You just be so pleased! I'm sure he aquanatal didn't do anything too serious but maybe try and wake her up today to reassure yourself. Take it easy and no more ab exercise!
One of the houses we saw yesterday was lovely so we are talking to our agents today about if we can possibly break the lease. They're showing us one today but it looks pants frankly. We shall see!
Hi to those that follow

Imp - Lots of eating sounds good and Lebanese is one of my favourites. Mmmm falafel
Ixia - hope your work shifts not too bad and you stay out of the wind and rain
Wispa - woo congrats on your exchange -such a relief isn't it. When is your scheduled completion date? Will you have help moving etc?
Jonesy - hopes you can break your lease and get the place you like
AFM woken up with bad headache but just been out for breakfast at a lovely little cafe a 5 minute walk away, even though the wind was picking up. Looking forward to a very chilled weekend and trying to do some clear outs/sort outs around the flat

Wispa - I'm in Cornwall. The rain has stopped but the wind is still gusty. I loved watching the snowboarding this morning!
Jonesy - hope you get the place you like!
CeeJay - have a lovely chilled weekend. Hope your headache cleared up.

Jonesy, yay to not working friday nights in the pub. Is this a permanent change, or will it be back to Friday nights after this weekend? Sundays have got to be better. Oh, and exciting news about the potential house! And as for waking her up, I've got a cold fizzy drink, and I've felt a couple wriggles - and Dr. Google informs me that ab exercise is actually fine in pregnancy, just not the stuff when lying flat on your back, so maybe the aquafit is a good thing!
CJ, hope the headache has gone and you enjoy your weekend. We're completing on the 24th, and we should probably get around to booking our movers. There's no way I'm doing any heavy lifting and Ant isn't the strongest man around :)
Ixia, wow, Cornwall has been battered. Sorry to hear it's not letting up.

Imp- I've not had Lebanese either, but it sounds tasty. Hope you had fun at kiddicare if you went.
Ix, sorry you're still having horrid weather. It's very windy here too, but probably not in the same league.
Wispa, enjoy your celebratory curry! I'm not sure about the abs aching, I wouldn't have thought aquafit would be too hardcore, but maybe take it easy for a bit. I think exercising them if the abs have separated is bad, but otherwise ok to do gentle stuff?
Jonesy, potentially exciting bout the house, I hope you manage to get out of the lease.
CJ - hope your head is better, and breakfast was nice. Enjoy your chilled weekend.
Afm, just back in from a walk round the park & into town and for lunch. Slightly sore back now from being on my feet for a while, but it's good to keep moving, and I'm enjoying being able to walk so much compared to last time! The weather here is bright but cold, and v windy, one of those days where you get achy ears from the wind. H is just trying to persuade j to have a nap, and then we're going to sit on the sofa for half an hour and have a hot chocolate and some tv, bliss! Tonight the parents are babysitting and we're off to a party, which should be nice, though I'll be home early I suspect as the parents don't like late nights, and I turn into a pumpkin at about 9.30pm nowadays. Attila is all good, lots of little wriggles. She seems to be just like J and lives solely on the right side of me, I can't tell standing up but lying down one side is a good couple of inches higher than the other. Odd- maybe the right hand side of my uterus has all the comfy cushions! Excitingly today is viability day, but she can stay in a good few weeks longer yet please.
Hope everyone's having a good one, and hugs to Monnie after yesterday's worries. X

Wispa enjoy your curry and celebrating, not long until you can start the nursery now.
Kiddicare was great, it depds what you've left to but but they have a huge selection if stuff all under one roof. It's a baby superstore so I guess it would be.
Jonesy we drove over to aintree as it's the closest one I think. A bit of a trek but there is a big mother are next door too. Mother are has some nice mat clothes in actually if anyone is looking for anything.
CJ I love going out for breakfast at weekends. Enjoy chilling out and I hope your head feels better.
Well kiddicare was good but I did scare myself a bit. It's quite overwhelming all the stuff you need. I can't wait to start buying stuff and ticking it off.
08/02/2014 at 14:04
Missed you there SG. Enjoy your hot chocolate had tv if you manage to convince J to nap! Is it a friends party at a house or out somewhere?
09/02/2014 at 09:27
SG, how was your party?
Jonesey, how was the house? Pants as you thought?
Imp, did you get anything at kiddicare yesterday, or was it just to look?
If it wasn't clear yesterday, I love the winter olympics! I don't plan to do much of anything this week except watch it, and I'm a bit miffed that I have to work the week after, haha. Nothing else going on, hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.
09/02/2014 at 10:09
I like the Winter Olympics too, normally, I just don't want to watch it this time. All the lgbt discrimination has destroyed it, for me anyway.
We didn't buy anything, we were just browsing really. It was good to compare quite a few prams side by side. We also saw a couple of cotbeds we quite liked.
09/02/2014 at 11:27
Imp, glad you had fun in Kiddicare but it is very overwhelming! It's taken me a few trips to our local department store to feel at ease there. And I still can't bring myself to start looking at prams properly! What style of cotbed do you like?
Ixia, hope work is okay!
Wispa, fantastic news that you've exchanged, you must be over the moon! Do you have a moving date yet?
SG, hope you had fun at your party? Happy viability day for yesterday!
CJ, hope your headache didn't last long yesterday. Have you made much progress with your clear out?
AFM, getting lots of nighttime wriggles and pokes now :) Still nothing much during the day, this baby is definitely a night owl! We're heading out for a walk along our local craft market soon, and then we'll probably have a late lunch.
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend xx

Imp, I agree that Russia shouldn't be hostingt he games, and the LGBT issues (amongst others!) are horrible and in need of attention, though I think the games have put a huge spotlight on what exactly is wrong in Russia, which is a good thing. I don't think not watching is the answer, though. Team GB got their first medal on snow this morning and the athlete I question is at the end of her career, and it was the first time her sport was in the Olympics, and you could tell how much it meant to her to take part at all, let alone get a bronze. I watch them for stuff like that, not for the glorification of the host country (Vancouver 2010 excepted, of course )!
But back to baby, which prams and cotbeds did you like? I have to admit I just ordered a normal cot from ikea because I couldn't believe how expensive they can be!
Fig, we move 24 Feb, so 15 days left! Packing is well under way, movers booked, ikea delivery set for the 26th! As for baby mostly moving at nightie he a lots are like that because the movement of the day on your part lulls them to sleep..
09/02/2014 at 16:10
Wispa - cotbeds (and the nursery in general) is proving to be a bit of a headache! I'd like a trip to Ikea sometime. We've decided on the Uppababy Vista for our pram as it best suits our needs within our budget.
For me it's work finished for a couple of days! No plans for our days off as it depends on the weather.
