How is everyone? I'm happy, second weekend in a row not working, it's bright and dry and the dog is in a super playful mood! :)

Haven't been on for a bit. Was feeling a bit meh as I just didn't feel pregnant and I felt like time was stalling a bit so I've been trying to keep my mind occupied with other stuff (and concentrate on work for a bit!). Now I'm 17+3 I feel like the 20-week scan isn't too far away, and I had my 16 week midwife appointment yesterday and got to hear the heartbeat so have had a bit of reassurance that little one is doing ok. The midwife struggled to find it as it sounded like he/she was wriggling around lots and as soon as she found it for a couple of seconds he/she was off again. Looks like we might have our hands full!
Hope everyone has nice weekends planned. I'm off for an eye test this morning and then going to try to find a light for our newly decorated landing and some bits for the new bathroom. Think it'll be a quiet night in tonight, something yummy for tea and a film and then I'm out at lunch tomorrow with a couple of friends while H finishes off the last bits of painting downstairs before our new carpet arrives in a couple of weeks.
Counter - yay for not working again! It's looking pretty miserable here but as I don't have much planned that's fine by me!

Glad you're not working Counter. Did you talk to management in the end about your maternity pay?
Sounds like a nice weekend Flossy. I've felt like that on and off but once the baby started kicking I didn't worry any more. Hopefully you won't have too long to wait to feel it.
Enjoy the hairdressers ABC.
I'm just waiting for some friends to arrive at the moment and then we are going out for dinner tonight. Spent the morning cleaning and beig told off by my h for getting in the way. If he thinks it's cramped now, wait til there's a small person here.
Hope you all have nice weekends.

ABC - hope you had a happy hair cut!
LD - hope you have a fab night out!
AFM had a v busy day as we are trying to get all the DIY finished in the house before bubs arrives so it's been a painty day off our room and made a start on the nursery. New carpets going down in both next week so it needs finished this weekend!! Anyone else waking up at 4am? I actually ended up getting up at 5.30 as I'd been lying wide awake.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Counter glad you've got a weekend off - catch up on your rest! I caught up on your negotiating mat leave thread this morning and hope you're ok. I didn't want to revive it but with my HR head on I wouldn't go down the mat pay route (from my experience and from the thread it is still an emotive issue when someone gets pregnant soon after joining and especially with mysoginist male bosses its guaranteed to get backs up) so definitely go down the bonus route to put towards having time off, you can always have a word with the HR bod about looking to set something up - it likely wouldn't benefit this time as enhanced packages are usually service related but could be in place for next time!
Flossy sorry you haven't been feeling brill, glad the heartbeat was reassuring and were definitely on 20 week scan countdown!
ABC I saw you'd skipped over to 2nd tri congratulations! Your due date must be pretty close to mine I'm the 27th march!
LD hope you had a good night with friends - if hubby wants to take over everything of say its a good excuse for a lie down and chill!!
SP can't believe you're awake so early! I'm the opposite usually I'm up fairly early but the last few weeks could happily lie in until 10am which is unheard of! I'm loving that the clocks went back I feel a little less lazy!
AFM I was off in Friday and have been at mums which has been nice- we've done a bit if pram shopping and I really like the uppababy vista, just need to show it to mr g when he's home ( less than 2 weeks eek!) and ill maybe let him pick the colour ...
Have been feeling a little more human with slightly less nausea and more energy so hoping to turn a corner plus I've felt a few movements! Really pleased. Got my bro and girlfriend over fit Sunday lunch and then driving back so lazy morning in order I feel!
Hope everyone is having a good Sunday!xxx

Morning ladies :)
Lazy day here yesterday, went and got my nails done in the morning, went to local country park after lunch for a couple of hours then went to the shops for a couple of things which was spectacularly unsuccessful and mobbed - I remembered why I don't go shopping on a Saturday! Then quiet night in front of x factor.
Today, I'm going to Asda to pick up an order, M has a couple of birthday parties coming up so have ordered presents. Then taking her to continue or quest for winter boots, she's tried on so many, but she's got a high instep and we can't get her feet in lots we've tried, it's turning into a right mission. Fingers crossed we will get sorted this morning. Then hopefully MIL will take M for an hour or so and H and I can finish clearing out the garage. Tonight is an online food shop, x factor results and homeland :)
Everyone sounds like they are having good weekends so far :) have a good Sunday all x

Hi everyone! Again not managed to get on much during the week, so trying to catch up with everyone this weekend!
Counter - Hope you're having / had a nice time with your dog.
Flossy- Nice to see you here, sounds like you've got a little wriggler on your hands!
ABC- Hope the new hair is looking good!
LD- Hope you had a nice dinner with your friends!
SP- Hope DIY went well. Seems to be the weekend for it! And yes I'm always awake at 4am, but usually try to go back to sleep or I'd be a zombie!
Grif- Hurrah for pram shopping! Glad you are feeling a bit better, too.
Weekender- Sounds like a busy weekend! Hope you got to chill a bit last night and that the search for winter boots was successful!
AFM, I have just got home after a night away in Stratford with my Aunts/Cousins/Grandma. We had a lovely time- saw David Tennant in Richard II (he is dreamy!) and I am thoroughly exhausted now. While I was gone OH painted our bedroom which I am so so pleased with, bless him for working so hard. Just the nursery left to do in terms of painting now! I have my 25/26 week midwife appointment tomorrow and am hoping the storm doesn't cause too much havoc so I can actually get there!

Counter - hope you are having a good weekend.
Flossy - Great news about hearing the heartbeat, must have been very reassuring.
ABC - Hope you enjoyed the hairdressers, was it anything drastic you were having done?
LD - Hope the dinner was nice yesterday.
SP - Yes I was awake for about an hour at 4am on Friday morning, very annoying! You definitely need to post a pic of the nursery when its done.
Grif - That's the pram we are getting! H wants to get the dark blue one. I was very impressed with it too. There's a good deal on pramcentre online which we have been looking at but its out of stock for another couple of weeks. You get a car seat and isofix base included in the package.
WE - Hope you manage to get some boots. Your evening sounds nice and relaxing.
AFM - Busy day yesterday met a friend for lunch then went to my grandads with mum and dad later on. Today we have been out with the dog before the weather turns and this afternoon I plan to do very little in front of the telly. I'm also hoping the storm won't blow my half built extension down tonight :(
