Morning all, hope everyone else is still enjoying a lay in this morning. Jacob decided to get up at 5.50am so we're up eating breakfast and watching CBeebies and I'm about to start some school work to get it out of the way. Early night tonight I think!
All well with baby, 24 weeks tomorrow which seems to have gone so fast. Had a letter from the hospital yesterday changing my 32 week appointment by 15 minutes - what a waste of paper, especially when my last appointment was an hour late anyway! Bought a little outfit in the Sainsburys sale yesterday, very cute!

I'm the only one awake in this house. Couldn't lie in bed anymore as I had H snoring in one ear and D in the other. Even the dog has joined them. I'm enjoying the peace and having breakfast without anyone wanting to share it. Getting some really big movements now that I can see from the outside.
Today H and I are having a D free afternoon. I can't remember the last time I went out without her. The suns out. Hope it stays out x

Sorry I haven't got on here this week - exam and coursework time at work so lots of marking going on!
Margot - why do kids always get up super early at the weekends? I'm doing something very similar here! Decaf coffee doesn't work as well as the proper stuff though! The Sainsburys sale is great for kids stuff, bought two little tops last weekend!
Daisy - enjoy the peace while it lasts! Have a lovely afternoon - hope the sun stays out!
AFM - all good here. Feeling lots more movements, which can be quite odd given that there are two of them to prod me! Not got much planned for today. Hope the sun comes out later so we can get out and about!
Have a good Saturday

Morning everyone. Didn't get on much this week due to work.
Margot- I haven't looked in Sainsburys, think I might have to take a peek! t is a bit silly them changing the appointment by 15 minutes.
Daisy- enjoy your peaceful breakfast. Hope it stays sunny for you and you enjoy your day.
Rhian- glad your feeling lots of movements. Can't imagine how it must feel having two little ones wriggling!
We were going to do the bootfair today that we didn't do a couple of weeks ago because of the weather but it's overcast here and forecast here is for heavy rain from 10 so decided to give it a miss. After having a quiet week last week with baby movements, baby is going for it this week! Think we will pop into town later do a few errands, then we have one of our couple friends round for dinner. Think we are just going to do a party style tea with nibbles, feel like having something naughty for dinner.

Didn't manage to get on yesterday had a manic day at work as usual
Margot really hoping you get an early night tonight! Eek to 24 weeks, do you feel it's starting to go quicker now? I do!
Daisy that sounds lovely have you and H got a plan what your going to do with your child free afternoon? Enjoy!
Rhian one moving is surreal enough, can't imagine two of them kicking each other! How lovely!
Bunny it's very reassuring to feel lots of movements. Have a nice evening tonight
AFM baby wise not much going on. I'm meeting a friend for afternoon tea later on, might visit my parents tonight and then got another long day at work tomorrow.

M - hope you've not been too tired today. Can't believe you're 24 weeks already, seems only 5 minutes ago you were graduating to 2nd tri.
D - hope you're having a lovely afternoon with your H.
R - must be strange feeling 2 of them in there!
Bunny - have a lovely evening with your friends, be naughty!
Duckford - we did afternoon tea yesterday, hope you had a lovely time.
AFM - still mixed emotions after yesterday's scan. I keep getting a bit teary, not all bad, I think hormones have a lot to answer for! We went for a lovely afternoon tea at a localish hotel yesterday, was there for 3.5 hours and Instill had to box some of the cake as even I couldn't finish it! Then I went to a Pampered Chef party in the evening where I won a £40 stoneware dish in the raffle! Today I had an impromptu playdate with a friend and her boys, one Alex's age and her 7 week old baby boy. She also wanted a boy for the same reasons as me so it was nice to be able to chat with someone who got it. Now I'm in the hairdressers, so all in all a nice weekend so far!
Baby girl (feels so weird saying that!) is wriggling away as I type

Morning ladies, hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far.
Sun is shining here this morning, H is out for a run with my dad so it's just me and the boys at the moment, about to eat breakfast then write my lesson plan for tomorrow. Bacon sandwiches once H is back, then I need to do some dewing and baking, and make tomorrow's packed lunches. This afternoon we're having a street party as one of our neighbours is 80, looking forward to that.
28/04/2013 at 09:12
Street party sounds fab M, enjoy.
Today we're off to a leaving do at BIL's for SIL's kind of brother who's moving back to Switzerland, before that we're popping in to see H's man who we only see a handful of times a year.
Didn't sleep great last night, too much going on in my head I think.
Duckford- hope you enjoyed your afternoon tea and work today is not too bad.
Bg- sounds like you are having a lovely weekend so far. At least now you know your having a girl you can get your head round it. It will be great, just think about all those pretty clothes!
Margot- have fun at your street party, what a lovely idea!
We are off to my parents today and to see my grandad and aunt as she will be visiting my grandad. Not seen my aunt or grandad since 3 months, so wondering what they will say about my bump! Had a good evening last night, but they were saying how small my bump is. Apparently their other friend whos due amonth and a half after me is bigger. Think I'm going to ask the midwife about it tomorrow at my 25 week appointment as I'm getting a little worried about it. I'm sure it's fine but I think I just need a profesional to tell me it's a good size!
28/04/2013 at 09:13
Bg- hope you have a good time at the do and it takes your mind off things.
28/04/2013 at 09:22
Hopefully bunny, although I think both H and I don't want to talk about it really, just get our heads round it quietly in our own time.
I'm sure your small bump doesn't mean anything, if you compare my bump to the same gestation last time I'm a lot bigger this time. A was a 9lb chunk! The mw will probably measure your bump anyway at your next appt.
28/04/2013 at 09:39
That's good to know. I think it's because I'm not really sure what to expect size wise and although people don't mean it when they say its small, it does make you think. I'm sure in a few weeks time I will probably be getting the aren't you due yet? Comments instead!
Sometimes a bit of time is all you need. I'm like that if I have to get my head round something I need time to myself to think about it whereas h needs to talk about it.
28/04/2013 at 09:43
Bunny, I'm sure your bump is fine. Everyone carries differently, there are so many things which affect it like size to begin with, how baby is lying, amount of fluid, size of baby. The MW may well measure you tomorrow anyway which will be a good guide, I've measured spot on in all three pregnancies despite being a lot bigger second and third times round.
BG, take your time to get used to the idea of a girl, it's a surprise and it will take some getting used to.Have fun today!

We're talking about it between us, H's family in particular wanted a girl so I guess we just don't really understand how and why we feel what we do. They'll all be saying how lovely it'll be for us to have 1 of each, which whilst that may be true, it's Alex I wanted another boy for, not for us. I think we just need some time to grieve for the brother he'll never have. I know this may all sound rather dramatic, but it's how we genuinely feel. My emotions are all over the show as I'm so relieved to have a healthy baby on board and feel awfully guilty for not being over the moon. Argh, it's all such a mind kcuf, I just hope it'll all seem so much more normal in a months time.
28/04/2013 at 09:49
Thanks M. It's weird, it was obviously always 50/50 whether it would be a boy or girl but it has come as a bit of a shock.
28/04/2013 at 10:03
I can understand where you are coming from BG, I'm pleased that ours is probably a girl as it will be a nice change to buy girls' stuff, and the boys are pleased but in the same breath I'm sad for the boy I won't have as I adore both my boys and a third would have been equally fab.
