Early start here as the boys were up before 7, so we're all dressed and breakfasted already. The dummy fairy visited Jacob last night so we had an unsettled night which wasn't great, hoping it improves tonight. I've woken up with a blocked nose and cough/sore throat as well which is annoying.
On a good note, my lovely friends had their baby this morning so whilst Joshua is at a party this afternoon, Jacob and I are going baby gift shopping and might squeeze in tea and cake at the garden centre too. H fishing all day so not planning to do much.

Morning M, sorry you're feeling a bit under the weather, lovely news about your friend though.
AFM - just waiting for H to get up and dressed to take A out for a while so I can blitz the house. I've been a bit slack the last few weeks and can't remember when I last hoovered upstairs. I managed to feel a kick from the outside yesterday, weirdly whilst I was in the boardroom at work which is where I first felt A kick.
Tomorrow I'm off to an NCT sale to hopefully kit A out for summer clothes, I did his winter clothes at the last one and did it all for £50, and it was all GAP, Boden, Timberland etc. then in the afternoon we're at MIL's and her friend is coming over with her daughter and Granddaughter. I've heard a lot about this friend, H always says she's his mum's favourite and can do no wrong, she has the same first name as me so he always jokes in her eyes he married the wrong Bridget. Her little girl is a similar age to A and she's due in October, I'm sure we'll get on fine and H just needs to let go of these childhood issues!

Morning Margot! Congrats on your friends baby, shopping for babies is fun! Hope your cold clears up and you get a better nights sleep tonight. Did your ball go well last week, did I miss an update?
Morning BG! I know what you mean about cleaning, with all the DIY going on here were kind of just moving the mess around! Have fun at your MIL's tomorrow.
AFM - H is upstairs up to his eyes in flat pack chest of drawers and cot, so i am going to keep him fed and watered! Just going to potter around home this morning, then take H to work and pop and see a few friends for tea and cake! Although I weighed myself this morning and I could probably do with less cake!

BG, have fun tomorrow, hope the NCT sale is good.
Porkchop, I like the sound of your day! The ball went really well thank you, we raised £1500 which is brilliant - definitely not doing it again until the end of next year though, it's a lot of work!
Two more nappies have just arrived, it's far too exciting waiting for the postman at the moment!

Margot - enjoy gift shopping. Hope you feel better soon.
BG- good luck at the sale.
PC - hope there's no bits missing of the flatpack. We always have left over screws.
Afm - spent all day at the shops. Got loads of nice summery.dresses for D. I've finally braced the girliness and got lots of pink. Still makes me cringe a little. The 1st stranger asked me when I was due today. Thought it was a bit risky as I think I still look fat ;)
We've got beautiful weather here today. Had to dig my flip flops out. Off to relax in the garden while D potters around.

Margot- hope you managed to get a baby gift, I love looking at baby bits!
Bg- hope you manage to get lots of bargains at the sale today!
Porkchop- how did your h get on with the flat packs? Any bits missing or were you lucky?
Daisy- hope you had a nice relax in the garden. It's nice realising that other people now see a pregnancy bump.
I spent all day shopping for clothes yesterday. Got 2 dresses and pairs of jeans, but I was really disappointed at how few shops actually had maternity clothes there. I was also hoping to pick up so.e cheap dresses in primark but the elasticated bits are round the waist rather than under the bust so that didn't work. Still need to find a pair of work trousers.
Today my dad's round to decorate, but didn't sleep too well, so hoping I can watch him and h rather than get involved too much!

Morning all! sorry can't do personals on my phone!
advice please? we're going to buy the cot mattress with the in laws tomorrow, but the cot isn't built yet, it's in bits. Once it's up we can't take it out of the room as the door is too narrow. Don't want to build it yet as the room still need so much work. Can i just measure the base?

Bunny - just got the chest of drawers done, there were so many pieces it took him 4 hours, then he had to go to work. Were gonna do the cot together this afternoon. Maternity clothes in shops are few and far between! New Look and H&M in our town have quite a lot. Have you tried mothercare? Little pricier but I got two nice dresses in there. I need a pair of trousers but am struggling so hoping the weather warms up so I an live in dresses!
PB - I'd measure the base, but I think cots are pretty standard sizes. Or can you find the cot online and get the size that way?
AFM - H is at work this morning so I'm off to church on my todd, watching the marathon stuff at the mo. This afternoon were going to put the cot together. May also pop to Tesco superstore to pick up some basic baby clothes, vests etc are good value there.

PB, I'd just measure the base. As PC says, they are generally a standard size (with the exception of IKEA) but looking up online is a good plan.
Bunny, best bet for maternity wear in our town is H&M, Mothercare have some but it's expensive and New Look don't stock it mostly here. I've ordered some stuff from Asda online and had it delivered into store and have also gone for cheap non-maternity leggings from Primark.
Planning a day in today, jobs in the garden and indoors - going to make some snickerdoodles, sew some name tapes in Joshua's new uniform and finish my school stuff for tomorrow.
21/04/2013 at 09:39
I ordered lots from Asda and Matalan this week too. Shops in our town are hideous.
Margot what are snickerdoodles?
We're off to the young farmers fair to watch the show jumping so I can reminis (sp). Been a very long time since I did it. And D loves animals. So it should be a good day. Sun's out again too.

Daisy, they're American cookies coated in sugar and cinnamon. Yummy!
21/04/2013 at 09:52
I will need to look them up. Sound delicious x
21/04/2013 at 18:16
Thank you everyone, I've ordered a couple of dresses from h&m. Going to look at mothercare online then have it delivered to the store if I like anything as I was going to get some maternity bras from there. Didn't think about the clothes there just underwear! Will also look at Matalan and new look online. The new look had done bits but not many, forgot about looking online for a bigger selection.
21/04/2013 at 21:51
PB - it's normal a standard cot or cotbed size, hope you managed to sort it.
Daisy - Farmer's fair sounds like good fun. It's been a while since I showjumped too, but I don't want to think how long as it'll make me feel v.old!!
Bunny - I'm loving NL at the moment, the store near my work has a good selection but you can also order stuff to store. I had a big Asos delivery and sent all but 1 top and a bikini back, everything was such a thin material it was see through.
Margot - they sound delicious!
PC - did you get the cot out together? I bet it all feels very real now!
AFM - a bit disappointed with the NCT sale, got him a few t-shirts and a hoody but no shorts. Still managed to spend £60 on that and Toys though, 3 big bags full of stuff. Just sorting through it all now whilst catching up on the F1. Had a nice afternoon at MIL's, had lunch in the garden.
Realised that I have a work do on Thursday night, dress code 'Lounge suits', WTF an I supposed to wear? Might need to drag A round the shops to get something and finish his summer wardrobe.
Bump wise, lots of flickering movements, which is lovely, generally well into the 2nd tri honeymoon!
