Hello lovely ladies, sorry I didn't get on the thread yesterday. It's supposed to be very hot here today so I'll probs stay at home, I'm giving my cloth nappies their pre wash so that should keep me busy! Will freshen them up nearer my due date but I don't like the smell of new fabric.
What is everyone up to today?

Enjoy the washing BE, I bet they'll look soooooo cute out on the line!
I'm off on the hen do today, in fact I'm just packing up my stuff now and we're leaving in an hour. It's a 3 hour journey and I've offered to drive, so I've taken a paracetamol as no doubt I'll end up with a headache. I'm looking forward to the day, but it's the first time I've been away overnight on my own without H since I've been pregnant, so I'm a bit worried in case I'm unwell or something. It's stupid really.
I've got my hat and us crea at the ready as Oxford is forecast to be 31 today! Eeek!
Hi to everyone else!

Imp- hope you have a great hen weekend. I'm sure you will be fine and at least now you're second tri you're not keeping pregnancy a secret so all the ladies will look after you I'm sure
AFM- not sure what we're doing yet. Think I'm going to make us all a picnic and have a family day to the park so H can enjoy the sun after being stuck in an office all week.

Decided last night to go and get it and bring it home, bloody 4 hour drive last night. Please can I have some "sell your camper van vibes" please. Then off to mums for lunch, so should be a lovely day x

Ive got some cleaning ans shopping to do before the BBQ, really looking forward to getting in the sun and catching up with friends. There have been so many who have moved away the last year so it wil be good to get everyone back together! Need to get my butt into gear!

Morning all, I'm itching to wash the cloth nappies and it's perfect drying weather, but our nursery is still a bare room with exposed brick walls, brick dust, broken plaster etc. I'm having to hold off doing anything with baby clothes / nappies until it's been cleaned, re-plastered, painted and has the painted furniture in there!
Today's plan is to see the horses, pick up the wooden letter I've ordered for the drawers, buy some new bras (mine have reached the uncomfortable stage), maybe some more dresses (it's too hot for any form of trousers and I only have 3 dresses in use!) and then hide indoors and try and stay cool! Hubby is hoping to sand down the new draws (ikea so in bits still) and then I can glue on the letters to the fronts. Then we'll build them and at some point start re-painting them. I also need to do the 2nd undercoat on the cot today.

BE if you take a pic you have to flash it for us, I bet that looks sooo cute!
Imp hope you have a great weekend. If be worrying about being away too as I seem to worry about everything now but you'll be fine and your with friends the whole time. I hope your on in the heat!
JT hope you have a lovey day in the sun
Mrs P all the camper selling vibes coming your way! Have a nice time at your mums
Mrs Bass how are you 18 weeks!?!? I have to say, 2nd Tri goes so much quicker! The past 2 and a half weeks since my scan have flown by! Hope the BBQ goes well and have a lovely time with your friends.
Mrs 50s what lettering did you get (or is that a no go give away!?) sounds like you'll be busy today! I'm loving this nice weather for a change but its a bit hot for me, sleeping is a nightmare.
AFM I had a terrible sleep last night despite having every window open from the minute I got home until I went to bed and even leaving our bedroom window open all night I still kept waking and was so warm. It's been absolutely boiling here this morning but I'm glad to say its clouded over now so although still warm, I feel like I can actually function! Nothing much planned for me, took the dog for a walk this morning, came home had breakfast, did a bit housework and then fell asleep! I'm just a out to head out to see my mum and then have a film and a takeaway planned this evening. Tomorrow is to be another really hot day so trying to convince H to have a BBQ tomorrow! Nothing baby wise for me, I'm starting to think my bumps not growing but hard to tell!
LP hope you've had fun pram shopping, sooo exciting!

Hey everyone! I'm just checking in from Oxford. It took us 8 hours to drive here yesterday, there was a fatality on the m6 so they closed it and we got stuck. It was a nightmare as it was scorching hot, so I had to drink water, but what does drinking equal? Peeing!!!! So, I had to ask a kind caravan lady if I could use the loo on her caravan! The shame!!!
Last night we went for a lovely meal and then the others went to a club and I came home to watch tv!
14/07/2013 at 10:02
Hi all. Sounds like everyone is having lovely weekends. Imp, what a nightmare journey that was. Thank goodness for the caravan! Hope you have a great time now you've arrived.
Yesterday we had our usual water babies Lesson. Then home to hang out 3 loads of washing I did before we went swimming at 8.30. In the afternoon we went for a stroll round a nearby park and gardens. Isla fed the ducks and played in the park. Then we all had a much needed ice cream. Not sure what the plans are today. Going to avoid the beach. It will be packed and don't think I could cope out in the heat for too long.
Baby wise it's viability day today. Whoop! Can't believe I'm 24 weeks already. Must get round to taking another bump pic too. Feeling lots of movement and baby was all over to my left side this morning was weird as my tummy looked wonky! xx
14/07/2013 at 10:40
Jem I really liked Chester zoo, I think they really look after the animals there too.
Imp that sounds awful! Although I have to confess I did laugh a little as I had visions of you knocking on the caravan door! Good thinking though, I'm not sure that would have occurred to me!! Hope your having a good time and coping with the heat.
Mrs B sounds like a lovely day, I could go an icecream now. What is viability day? Glad baby is keeping active.
AFM just back from my usual 5miles with the dog on a Sunday. It's so warm already and I think he was glad to get home and in the shade. Just heading out to get some food shopping and then looks like a lazy day round the house for me. I have zero energy in this heat, I could sleep all day!
14/07/2013 at 10:44
Oh knew I was going to ask something! Does anyone have a Doppler? I feel a bit in limbo at the moment given its too early for movements but still weeks until my scan and was considering getting one? Not sure if they're hard to use though? I don't mean to use everyday but even once a week or something to 'help' with the next few weeks. I think it would be very reassuring (if they're easy to use!)
14/07/2013 at 11:23
Mrs 50s, I love the idea of puting your own mark on the furniture, make sure you flash the finished project!
missdeedee- I know 18 weeks- when did that happen?! enjoy your BBQ! Are you taking regular bump photos? Im trying to take one a week and when i look at them all together it really shows how much it has grow! I promised to flash the other day and didnt so i'll add one at the end of this post!
Jem- hope you had a good nights sleep to recover!
Imp- I saw that in the news! what a nightmare. you are lucky that you were close to a caravan and that you have a visible bump! Who would say no to a pregnant woman needing a wee?!!
Mrs B I would defo avoid the beach today! My H said my bump was bigger one side than the other yesterday, baby must have been curled up in one corner!
missdeedee my friend was thinking of getting a Doppler but decided she would end up worrying more if she couldnt hear anything because she wasnt using it right!
AFM- had a lovely BBQ yesterday! H decided to put the gazebo up for some shade and im so glad he did! we had 3 pregnant ladies, a 6 month old and an 20 month old so the main conversations were about pregnancy and babies!
my friend who is due 2 days after me and I were comparing our bumps. While mine is quite firm belly button upwards and a bit flabby sill below the belly button, her's is the other way round, her bump is from the belly button below!
Planning on packing up today so was trying to figure out what on earth to wear to keep cool. Ive opted for a strapless maxi dress folded over my bump so its a nice flowy skirt and a Tshirt!
Here is a flash of me and bump yesterday ready for the BBQ!
14/07/2013 at 16:44
You look lovey! I also have no idea where the fat is you keep mentioning! You've got a great figure and that bump is coming along nicely!
I've taken a few pics but not really at set times, I'm going to do one a week from now on as I want to keep them and as you say, will be nice to see the bump growing. It seems to have popped out a bit today actually.
No BBQ for us today, H didn't really want one (I think it's more that he doesn't want to do the cooking or clean it!) I'm banned from the BBQ cooking as I can never get it right so it's either half raw or burnt black! So I've decided we're having sausage, egg, chips and beans for tea. No idea where it came from I just decided at lunchtime it's what I wanted!x

missdeedee you flatterer!
What up pregnant woman wants, a pregnant woman gets!!
14/07/2013 at 17:41
Hi all. Can I ask how I get a ticker? X
14/07/2013 at 18:19
"what up pregnant women want" ???!! obviously i meant "a pregnant woman" !!
Dizzydck I got mine from The Bump global.thebump.com/.../default.aspx
follow the instructions for the ticker you want, fruit, image of baby or lady with a bump etc then you need to copy the code called 'Pseudo HTML, UBBCODE, OR BBCODE'
On MD go to your settings, Forum settings and paste the code in Forum signature.
I THINK that should do it!

Missdeedee, i looked at the dopplers but decided against one as you can't always hear hb with them and thought that might make me panic more.
I've broken a bone in my foot today, actually went flying twice so poor baby has had a bumpy ride today. Sat here feeling sorry for myself now and worrying a lot about baby. two falls and an xray isn't great, just keep telling myself i never landed on bump and they put lead aprons over for the xray. still worry though
