Morning all, I've been awake for some time so thought I'd start the thread! I've woken with a sore throat, blocked nose and headache so I reckon I can now add a cold to my list of ailments!
Didnt make it on hesterday unfortunately. H took the day off and we went to the cinema and then for a bite to eat. We also managed to get all the bathroom tiles ordered for when our ensuite is started the week after next.
Today, we have friends coming over for a BBQ so I really hope the weather is okay. Tomorrow we might take F swimming (my cold depending) and then having dinner at FIL's. Monday we're hoping to take F out to the zoo or somewhere.
Baby wise, she's still moving around lots. She must've moved as the movements feel different now. I think we've also now pretty much decided on the name - our original favourite has now been pushed down to middle name and our new favourite as first time. Im sure I'll have some wobbles over it yet, mainly because we've said for the last 4 years we'd use a particular name if we had a girl and now we'll only be using it as middle name!
Hope everyone is well and got some nice plans for the weekend.

Morning WG, your weekend sounds nice - lots planned! Hope the weather holds out today for your BBQ.
AFM - not much planned today apart from putting the house back together after the carpet being fitted. I'll be glad when I can sit on my sofa again! Getting impatient to meet baby now! I just want them to come but I know I might still have nearly 3 weeks if I go over! Also got to go to an argos 30 mins away to collect a bargain play mat that's half price at the mo and only 1 left in stock in my area! Then just making sure we are 100% baby ready by finishing off a few jobs. Weather dependant we might go out somewhere tomorrow just don't want to go too far right now in case something happens but I very much doubt anything will!
Hello to those that follow x

Wg glad you have a name sorted
Browny hope you get your play mat and baby out vibes to you
My crib being delivered this morning, v excited lol. Weather miserable here and Isaac has had diarrhoea and now has a rash which is typical when we had planned a day out so looks like a day for the house although if he perks up then we will go to the park.
My work have booked an afternoon tea package in October for my 'it's definitely NOT a baby shower!!!!' gathering type do thing
It's set out like Alice in wonderland and Iv wanted to go for ages so I'm glad about that. It's just an open invite so there's quite a few going who probably just want to try out the menu There's no games or presents or any reference to baby showers in any form with balloons etc although I'm on the hunt for a dress/tent to wear to it since it's my do
Hi to all who follow

WG glad you have a name sorted. We are nowhere near! Sorry you are feeling rubbish. Hope you still have a nice day.
Browny - enjoy sorting everything out and hope something happens soon for you.
TRF - ah your not a baby shower sounds lovely. I am flatly refusing to have one much to my SILs disappointment. Hope I perks up and you get to go out. Exciting having your crib delivered
AFM - off to our close friends LOs christening in a bit which will be lovely. Had to do a mad dash to get maternity tights this morning though which of course meant I needed new shoes! H and his mate have yet to wet the babies head so I'm thinking it may be today! Baby wise all good - lots of kicks which is nice.
Have lovely days all!

WG hope you're feeling better, I've had a heavy cold and cough all week only just feeling better today. Hope you enjoyed your BBQ
Browny not long now for you how exciting !!
Rf I've been to an afternoon tea that sounds similar to yours, will be lovely I'm sure! Can we see the crib you've got?
Glitterball hope the christening was nice yesterday
AFM I'm finally starting to feel better this cough and cold has really taken it's toll on my this week and ended up just crying for must of the evening on Friday, what a hormonal wreck! Had my blood results back from the hosp this week too and the clotting levels have dropped instead of increasing so that really put me on a downer too however there's nothing I can do until I go back to see the consultant in September so I'm trying not to worry too much about it. As a ftm labour scares the hell out if me anyway but having limited birth plan options just freaks me out even more so! As long as my baby boy gets here ok I'll have to go with wherever they recommend.
Yesterday h and I built the cot, just need to assemble the drawer underneath today. Went for dinner with our friends last night which was lovely and seeing my parents tonight as they have been in Mexico for the past 2 weeks!
Hope you're all ok and have lovely BH weekends xxx

Morning gb hope the christening went well
Mrs L we got the JL Anna crib m.johnlewis.com/.../p231330992 but in pine/beech colour. Once you see consultant you will have more of an idea if options and you can relax a bit.
Afm crib built and up, VERY weird! Got a breast pump too at a bargainous price so it's literally all done (well apart from baby's room and the playroom, utility room, hall stairs and landing ) but baby wise we are done, even have our slumber bear ready in the crib
Count down is on till I attempt the deep clean of baby's room on Tuesday EUGH!!!!!!
24/08/2014 at 09:00
Oh rf that's lovely! Where did you get the breast pump from x

Browny - hope you managed to get the playmat and some of the jobs around the house done.
RF - pleased to hear the crib arrived okay. Hope I is feeling better soon.
GB - hope you had a lovely time at the christening yesterday. New tights def mean new shoes! :-)
MrsL - I'm glad you're feeling better. Sorry to hear about the clotting levels dropping though, hopefully you'll be given more details of your birthing options soon so that you can at least have a 'plan' in your own mind.
AFM - I've now got a full blown cold. I'm so over being ill, I've been unwell every few weeks during this pregnancy and it's taking it's toll now. Anyway, no swimming as I don't think it'd be wise so we're going for a walk around our local park and F can let off some steam. Our BBQ yesterday went well although I'm knackered now!
24/08/2014 at 09:58
Mrs L - sorry the clotting levels have dropped. Hopefully you will more info on a plan soon. Enjoy seeing your folks.
TRF - I think that's the crib we might go for. Well done for being ready!
WG - sorry you are feeling so rubbish. Hopefully a walk in the park might blow it away. Glad the BBQ went well.
AFM - finally we are shopping properly for baby today. Going to order pram, furniture, car seat. Head is well and truly out of the sand! Then we are off to a charity day thing at our local where there will be live music, a BBQ etc with my folks, Hs folks my sister and some friends. Should be a good day if the weather holds.
Hope you all have good days. X

WG I hope that your cold clears up quickly. Enjoy your trip to the park, I don't know about where you are but the weather here would be perfect for the park.
Browny I hope you have been enjoying your last bank holiday weekend without a baby!
Rf that's great that you are baby ready. The afternoon tea sounds fab.
GB enjoy your shopping! We expect some flashes or links later :)
Mrs l I'm sure that the consultant will put you at ease and hopefully you will have options you like the sound of. Enjoy seeing your parents tonight.
Haven't been on the last couple of days as I went to an overnight spa break with some school friends Friday night. It was lovely to relax for a bit even if it was only for 24 hours! Gardening today with h. He was meant to be working but has been signed off this week noe with depression (an on going thing). He's found it very hard with due date approaching, k's birthday and original due date in the last month. Going to try and keep him reasonably busy over the next few days as he's worse when thinking.
24/08/2014 at 10:58
Mrs L - it's a second hand pump but used for 2 weeks, £35 for the swing pump, bottles and teats (unused), lasinoh (unused) and spare valves, I use another forum and someone offered it. It's £107 new (well the cheapest I can see anyway) so was v chuffed with it.
Gb - enjoy your shopping, the charity day sounds lovely
Bunny - big hugs to you all , hope you and your h manage some peaceful time together
24/08/2014 at 13:38
Huge hugs Bunny. X

Rf you got a bargain by the sounds of things!
AFM tmi maybe but one nipple had started leaking today, only slightly but I assume this is normal at 30 weeks?
25/08/2014 at 11:26
GB - how did you get on shopping yesterday?
Bunny - your spa break sounds like bliss! I'm sorry to hear about your H, it must be really tough on you keeping strong for him too. Big hugs xx
MrsL - I think some leakage is quite normal. I've never had it but know others who have.
AFM - it's raining and miserable here so I don't feel guilty about having a lazy day! I've got a stack of ironing to do but it can wait, I think I need to take some time to just relax. I might try to have a nap this afternoon whilst H is here to watch F. Best make the most of it!
25/08/2014 at 12:24
Mrs L - I think it's normal? Not got it yet but maybe something to look forward to?
WG - enjoy the lazy day! Ironing can def wait!
AFM - weather here is vile so I'm having a lazy day. Yesterday was really busy and feeling quite tired today so just having a chill. H is off to pub with his mate so making the most of the quiet. Shopping was a success. Ordered pram (oyster 2), furniture and car seat and base. All seems very real now.
