What are we all up to this weekend?
Well that's me officially on the overdue bench, happy for her to arrive from tomorrow onwards (I've managed to make a gap in my busy diary!). Off to see the house again today (3rd time in 5 days and it only went on the market on Monday evening, at least we don't look too keen
Had a lovely afternoon with Bluewater (the MDer) who made 2 under 2 look positively easy, she even had them napping at the same time!
Gump bump has definitely moved down a bit but I'm not sure how much that is me looking for it.
Was inundated with lots of lovely texts from friends yesterday, all well meaning so not annoying...yet!

Morning BG, so exciting about the house-is it much bigger than what you have now? Enjoy looking around it again today. Will be looking out for your BA very soon. I assume you are the same as me in that they won't let you go more than 1 week overdue before gentle induction only?
We are trying to decide what to do today, its raining and pretty miserable. I might see if I can persuade H and the girls to come to Kiddicare with me but somehow I doubt it! A has a birthday party tomorrow but otherwise we have no plans which is nice but I still like to get out and about.
Hello to all that follow,

They've said 10 days, but I'm tempted to push it to 12 at least. Especially as this is said to be a smaller baby than A was, and I actually think my dates are 4 days out anyway, so +10 is actually +6. I'm not really fed up yet though, that may change by +10. I have a sweep on Tuesday at 40+4 (was supposed to be 40+0 but my mw doesn't work Fridays), hopefully that'll give me an idea of if things are likely to kick off.
Yeah, the house isa bit bigger, it'd def be our forever house.
I was at Kiddicare yesterday! Hope you find something to do, I was hoping to go for a walk today but the weather is a bit off putting.

BG- hope she makes an arrival soon, eeks! Have fun house browsing!
Noggin- Have a nice weekend whatever you do, miserable weather!
We're both up and about, hubby is preparing to psint our newly plastered hall, stairs and landing today. I've offered to help but he won't let me, shame! ;-)
So I'm off shopping in a bit, I got a £30 next voucher from one of the children I look after when she went to school ( I work in the childcare sector) so will no doubt spend it on baby!
Tonight hubby is out with my besties partner whilst us girlies arrange her abroad hen weeekend for sept next year. It's hard to think I'll have over a nine month old by then, no doubt I'm not going to want to leave him :-(
Other than that no real plans, the weather is rainy and horrible so limits me doing the garden!
Have lovely weekends everyone!

Crashing in with vibes for BG... We are 3 1/2 weeks in now and don't I know it. Spent this morning smelling of sweat, sick and stale milk. God Motherhood is sexy!
Vibes to anyone else in need. Xx

Thanks IDC, glad all is going well if not exactly glamourously!
Gemini - have a lovely girly evening.

BG - enjoy looking round the house again. Vibes to you that your little Gump arrives soon x
Noggin - hope you manage to find something to do today. It's miserable here too :(
Gem - sounds like a nice girlie evening, have fun!
IDC - hi! hope you're ok, even if life isn't glam atm!
AFM - went to my first NCT nearly new sale this morning, eek it was crazy! I think we got there a bit late so didn't find anything, not sure what I was looking for anyway, just wanted to be nosy really. My sister is home from London this afternoon so I'm hoping she will pop round and help me make some high energy snacks for my labour bag. Made myself the spiciest soup in the world last night, was a bit worried it might send me in to early labour it was that hot! Luckily not :) Happy weekend everyone!
14/09/2013 at 17:46
haha, Popcorn, yes you have to get to those sales early if you want a pick of the best things. Making high energy snacks? you have far too much time on your hands, I've just bought lucozade and oat bars. Oh and loads of haribo sweets.
House was just as lush as the last two visits, just have a few questions to ask vendor tonight. Went out for a pub lunch near that house, had the spiciest chilli con carne, then took a wrong turning and went down an unmade road for a mile, it was so bumpy if that doesn't get this baby out I don't know what will!

Hi all BG so nice to hear a positive, happy overdue mummy. Don't think you generally get many of those. Sounds like you had a nice day with BW I hope I can make having two almost under two as easy.
Noggin did you get to kiddicare? Hope you had a good day whatever you did in the miserable weather.
Gemini sounds like a nice day what did you get with your voucher? Enjoy your night with the girls.
Popcorn hope you had a good afternoon with your sis. I've been to one nearly new sale. As you say, crazy, don't think I'd bother again.
AFM we've had a lovely day. Water babies this morning then went to my sisters boyfriends farm this afternoon. Isla had her first ride on my sisters horse which she loved and we saw the cows sheep and pigs. She wasn't impressed with her tractor ride though. Bit to noisy I think. Not a lot planned tomorrow think it's going to rain for most of the day

BG the house sounds ideal. I can't imagine us being in a position to buy our forever home for quite a while yet
Nog hope you enjoy the birthday party tomorrow
Gemini did you get to spend your next voucher.? I love next baby and kids clothes, really really nice and wash well too
IDC sounds like you're pretty busy. Hopefully things will get easier soon.
PC I've only ever been to one nearly new sale and got there quite late but I hear they're madness if you go early, not sure I have the patience!
MrsB sounds like a lovely day at the farm, good to make the most of it before the weather gets too cold
AFM my brother arrived yesterday to visit from Florida. He's only here until Monday though so making the most of seeing him.
Depending on what we have planned tomorrow I might try and do the tour of our hospital as we don't have many free weekends between now and due date so would be good to get to go and have a look round. You don't have to book a place, they do them every sat and sun at 2pm so we can just turn up which is good.

BG - glad the viewing went well today, hope things get moving for you soon.
Noggin - Enjoy your weekend whatever you choose to do.
Gemini - Enjoy the shopping and hen planning, sounds fun!
Popcorn - enjoy your weekend, you sound very organised making your snacks!
MrsB - Sounds like you've had a lovely day today!
AFM - busy day shopping today, kiddicare and then into the city. Bought I some lovely winter clothes and spent a fortune at Build a Bear - hoping she will give her dummy up at night for the new bear! Hopefully i'll have a better nights sleep tonight, got a 3 year olds birthday party to go to so will need the energy!
15/09/2013 at 07:45
Haha Mrs B, I reserve the right the start getting grumpy if I'm still pregnant next weekend. I can't really complain, havig a baby this week would have been a bit inconvenient, and I've had such a lovely, easy pregnancy that another week is really no bother. I've also surprised myself by being quite touched by all the lovely 'good luck' and 'any news?' texts and calls I've received over the last couple of days.
Oh I'm very jealous of I! We never did get round to Alex sitting on my mum's horse this summer, he's just happy to muck out and make 'horsey dinner', he'll make a fabulous husband for a horsey girl one day
JT - I do feel very lucky to be looking at this kind of house and it's mainly down to H being such a tight bar steward and saving hard for many years, it's so nerve wracking though, trying to be sure that we're making the best decision financially, location wise, school wise, house wise etc.
How cool is it going to be for your girls to have an uncle in Florida! I've not even thought about a hospital tour this time, I don't think I'd want to be reminded of how lovely it is in the low risk rooms.
Banzy - i need to get A some new winter clothes too, especially a winter coat, been browsing online but I'm struggling to be inspired. Was it the Lakeside Kiddicare?
AFM - been awake from 4, couldn't get back to sleep after a loo trip. Was actually received when A eventually woke at 7.30 so I had an excuse to get up! No sign of baby, and not sure what plans are today. Feel like I should go for a long walk but the weather looks a bit poo!
Hope you all have a good Sunday.

Morning! We had a productive day of painting yesterday ( well hubby did) its starting to look fab. i went into next with my voucher as Id seen a lovely pramsuit for him but the store selection was rubbish, so came out empty handed. I'll have to venture to the bigger store at some point instead.
The girlie night was a success, decided on late next september for the hen weekend, 3 nights all inclusive. Baby will only be 9 months and I'm already dreading leaving him! I know hubby is more than capable and my mum and his are close by but.....argh! I know itll do me good, just dont like the thought of it.
15/09/2013 at 09:21
Sounds good Gemini. I think you'll be fine by 9 months, you'll probably have such a good time you won't have time to think about him, that was certainly the case for me when I went skiing for a weekend when A was 9/10 months.
15/09/2013 at 10:02
Banzy have fun at the party
BG he keeps asking when we are going over to visit but think we need to wait for the children to be a bit older really so they can appreciate going to Disney land etc. plus dont fancy the idea of a little baby in the Florida heat.
The only reason I want a hospital tour is because its a different hospital to where we had W so would be good to have a nosey round.
Gemini it is horrible leaving them overnight but at least by nine months he will be weaning etc so much easier to leave than in the early day. You will be glad of a break aswell to enjoy some sleep and wearing clothes that don't get covered in dribble after two mins!
AFM couldn't get comfy in bed at all last night my spd was terrible. Ended up standing up, leaning on all fours on the bed, and finally fell asleep sat upright with loads of pillows behind me. But luckily had an amazing sleep in this morning. The joiner who fitted our bedroom doors is clearly an angel sent from heaven, not only was he very easy on the eye but he also seems to have sprinkled magic sleeping dust on Ws door as yesterday and today she slept til 9.30! That door is the best money ever spent!!
15/09/2013 at 10:57
Thanks for the reassurance! I just feel like a bad mummy already. I know itll be just what I need :-)
The plus side is that ill stil be on ML so will make it up to him when I get back! :-)
Jellyot- Glad you got a lie in after a crappy nights sleep!
Right, off to clean the house and tackle the washing!
Have a good sunday everyone!
Baby out vibes for those that need them! :-)
15/09/2013 at 11:37
BG - I sincerely hope I am as serene and patient as you if I go even a day overdue, I can see me climbing the walls even before my DD. My high energy snacks are pretty much just healthy oat cookies - Haribo give me terrible heartburn and I can't stand lucozade. Got to do something to keep out of trouble ;) Glad the house is still getting you excited :)
MrsB - how lovely for Isla to have a ride on a horse for the first time, great that she enjoyed it.
JT - sounds like this joiner fellow was worth his weight in gold. Sorry you are suffering with your SPD though :(
Banzy - did you get to Kiddicare? I can't face the build-a-bear factory, I find it traumatising when you see the big machine stuffing the bears (wuss, I know!)
Gemini - 9 months sounds like a good time to have a girlie weekend, especially an all inclusive one, I'm sure you'll be fine.
15/09/2013 at 12:26
Popcorn - I think the house has been a good distraction, if I wasn't so busy I imagine I'd be getting really impatient now.
15/09/2013 at 12:58
BG when I was pregnant with W I started my ML at 38 weeks and said I didn't want baby coming yet as wanted a couple of weeks off to put my feet up first, so H complained saying it was my fault baby wasn't making an appearance as if I kept saying I wasn't ready for her to come then she wouldn't! So going by that theory apparently when you "decide" you are ready for baby to come your waters will instantly break!
15/09/2013 at 15:58
Ha, I had that attitude last time and he arrived 6 days early! I think the excitement/adrenaline from the house hasn't helped, hopefully we'll know more/have an offer accepted in the next day or two, maybe then I'll relax enough for things to kick off. Or not. Either way she'll be out by Christmas
