Happy Weekend to you ladies! I didn't really get on later in the day. Hope everyone had a good Friday.
No change here. I've given up hoping for spontaneous labour though we did dtd a couple of times as a last-ditch attempt! i had a little meltdown last night when it hit me that being in hospital might mean hubby being sent home and me and baby staying in hospital, not in my plans at all having had my heart set on a very couple-y, equal bonding, home birth experience, so we spent an hour going through scenarios of when I'd come home, or under what circumstances I'd discharge myself etc - obviously all based on everyone being well and safe.
Other than that I've been doing some serious lazing and spending quality time with my dog! Hubby has just gone to supermarket for stuff for 1) breakfast picnic in the woods this morning and 2) The Last Supper, lol. I'm staying in bed reading a gory, bloody, thriller :)

Oh Counter, sending you loads of baby out vibes, or if it comes to it, speedy induction vibes...you've been so patient! Baxter will be here very soon x

Happy Saturday ladies.
Counter, it must be really frustrating having plans not go to plan, I hope the dtd (impressed, well done you!) did something, but if not that you have a nice speedy induction and are home and bonding together soon. Last ditch baby out vibes, and enjoy your last day if relative freedom!
Trifle, enjoy your coffee and playing with A. I'm not surprised you're not up for travelling far! Baby out vibes to you too.
Flossy, hiya! Hope you're healing a bit and things are getting easier.
Afm, H's parents are up today, I'm not sure what we're doing with them, but it'll have to be J friendly, so maybe a trip to a park or similar. The weathers not great though, cloudy with scattered showers forecast. I'm generally good today, had a good nights sleep and am feeling refreshed. I always start the day feeling ok then get progressively achier as the day goes on!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, looking forward to at least one ba v soon!

Counter sorry you were so down yesterday, have you both agreed on a bit of a plan for the hospital? Lots of baby out vibes for you!
Trifle baby out vibes for you too, I hope baby gets a wriggle on.
Flossy I hope you're doing ok.x
SG can you try and take it easy today? Do you find if you so too much you get more achey? Maybe get the inlaws to run around after J at the park!
AFM I'm doing well, not much in the way of aches/pains which is a welcome relief. Happy feet has been kicking and wriggling away lots which is lovely. I have been getting quite a lot of Braxton hicks, yesterday particularly, though they're just a little uncomfy rather than anything else.
Not much planned today, out for a curry tonight to meet a friends new boyfriend. Then tomorrow just seeing some friends for coffee and cake.

I came on to yesterday's thread so late last night, I'll just copy here and add for today!
Monnie, I totally understand why you're upset now. It's a month of salary/mat leave with baby gone. Sorry :(
Imp, glad you've got a pram to borrow, but how annoying that it got delayed. Did they say why?
Ixia, I've been enjoying the pregnancy yoga, it's definitely relaxing. I think it has actually helped with aches, too! That cough sounds horrid, though.
Trifle, we did manage to get the car, yay! Each week they've said it will be ready mon/tues following, and they've said the same again, but I'm not impressed so far and not going to hold my breath! I think you're the only person I've heard in the UK who wants to stay in hospital, but I get the security blanket thing.
SG, thank you for being stern. I actually had a count of what I've been spending on baby clothes, and although they are technically practical purchases in that baby will need clothes to wear, just seeing the total has been enough for me to swear off buying any more until she's here and we actually find we NEED something. Sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday, hope you didn't need to do too much clean up int he evening and the aches didn't get too bad. Anything you can do inside if the rain starts up?
Counter, all I can offer and good luck vibes for a quick labour and very little time spent in hospital. Baby will be here soon.
Hiya Flossy!! Hope you're enjoying your cuddles :)
AFM, I had to leave work about 15 minutes early yesterday as I was feeling sick and faint. I had to go lie down for a while in the basement of the museum. I think I just got dehydrated, really. H left the office early to meet me at the train station so he could come home with me and on the way we picked up our dinky nissan micra courtesy car. So that means I can go to preggo yoga this morning! Yay! Speaking of, I need to get going now. Hi to everyone who follows!

Counter sorry you were upset lovely. I can sympathise on the having hubby sent home scenario as I was planning on a birth centre birth and H can stay the whole time but now as I have to go to delivery suite he won't be able to stay. I've also been dtd to try and get things moving, no such luck! Enjoy your picnic in the woods, sounds lovely. What have you got for your last supper?
Trifle baby out vibes to you. Enjoy your coffee out and time with A. I am also cautious of going far now but last week I did brave an hours journey to ikea.
Hi flossy! Hope all is well with you and little one :)
SG enjoy your weekend with the in laws. Hope the weather stays ok for you. Jealous of your good sleep!
Imp glad your getting lots of kicks, think around your time I started getting some really freaky movements! Hope the braxton hicks ease. Enjoy your curry :)
Wispa that doesn't sound nice, take it your feeling better today? Oh finally a car for you :) enjoy yoga!
Afm it's my due date! I woke at 2 with really bad pains in back and stomach, felt sick too. Managed to go back to sleep after a bounce on my ball. Still achey today, hopefully means my body is getting ready. Think me and H are going to go somewhere for a walk today, he has a cold so fresh air should do him some good. Meal out tonight and being a fussy veggie I don't like anything on the menu so had hoped little lady would come and get me out of it ;)
12/04/2014 at 10:23
Wispa I hope you enjoy preggo yoga. Glad you've got a courtesy car now, I'd have been going mad by now! Icandy have got a delay on the raspberry, I think because the peach has taken longer than anticipated.
Bertie happy due date! Baby out vibes, and a few more to get you out of the meal tonight!
12/04/2014 at 12:29
Morning Trifle - yes, tomorrow we hope. Just praying we don't get a postponement! 13th Apr is a special date to me, so if Baxter could show up that day I'd be ever so grateful! Sounds like a nice day you have planned, good spring-like weather here, hope you've got the same?
Flossy - THANK YOU! I bet you've been cramming in loads of cuddles with that gorgeous girl!
SG - thanks for the vibes. Have a good day - hard to pace yourself isn't it? Feel well = want to do things, but then you can end up regretting it. Hopefully the in-laws will run round after J and you can take it easy :)
Hi Imp - yes, we sort of agreed if X happens at this time, we do this, or Y at this time means this, just so we're set. It can all go up in the air and come back down totally differently and that's okay, but if not we're totally on the same page about things. I am very passionate about parenting being equally important for both, really feel it very strongly, which was another reason a HB factored highly, so I just want to try and minimise the hours in baby's life that daddy isn't there - if we can. If we can't, so be it :) Glad the Braxton Hicks aren't impacting on you too much, evening out for curry sounds lovely and coffee and cake tomorrow sounds even better! :)
Wispa - I caught your reply last night but it was late and I was at my functioning limit! Doesn't sound good that you had a bit of a turn, are you able to look after yourself okay at work, drinks and breaks etc? Those tiny Micras are cute, glad you finally have something, must have been annoying to be without. Enjoy yoga :)
Bertie - glad I'm not the only one who's having those types of thoughts. I think it must sound a bit daft when lots of people say 'all that matters is baby gets here safe' and that is certainly true, but it's still nice to hope for the best scenario and try and make it happen and it's sobering when reality hits! Hopefully we'll both do okay in that department and be back home nice and quick! For supper, god this sounds boring, I chose American style mac n cheese with bacon in, and a shedload of salad. And hubby voted to put hot dogs with it!! And then he's making a brownie sundae thing for after. Definitely sounds as though your body knows things need to happen. Fingers crossed something definite happens in next couple of hours for you. How perfect would that be?!? :)
We went out about 8am, hubby made us BLT each, flask of coffee, a croissant and jam. The dog loved being out, watching other dogs jumping in the stream we were next to but being way too chicken to go in herself! Andy has taken my car to Hoover it out (as apparently that matters to a newborn baby ;)) and I'm getting in to bed because I've been up since 5am. A good day so far :)
12/04/2014 at 19:27
Hiya Bertie, I'm doing much better today, just a raging pounding heart, but apparently that's a normal pregnancy thing sometimes. Happy due date!! I hope the meal out isn't too bad and there's something on the menu for you, either that or you've suddenly had some strong contractions and plans have been cancelled!
Imp, ahh they're delayed everywhere, then. Annoying!
Counter, I'd been fine all week and I think it was just a bit warmer in there yesterday and I didn't drink enough water. And you have no idea how great it is to have a car to drive after three weeks without!! And it's so zippy, it's obviously much much lighter than my Qashqai :). I'm glad you're having a better day today. You do realise, that if all goes to plan, this weekend thread could be your last in 3rd tri?
13/04/2014 at 07:30
Imp- hope your curry was good last night. I love curry generally but even more so during pregnancy. Nom! Enjoy coffee and cake with friends today too.
Wispa- that sounds scary at work, I hope you've been taking it easy over the weekend and are feeling ok now? Any exciting plans for today?
Bertie- assuming you've not popped a baby out yet, I hope your meal out was better than expected. Lots of baby out vibes for you.
Counter- sounds like a lovely breakfast picnic yesterday. HUGE good luck vibes for today, I hope everything goes really smoothly and you're enjoying newborn squishy cuddles really soon. Keep us posted, I'll be checking back for updates! (Because obviously md should be your priority!) do you have a pp?
Afm, Jacob slept through entirely last night and so did I, I didn't even get up for a wee! That's 10.30pm-6.30am, yes, 8 full hours of uninterrupted sleep. Hell yeah! It was lovely seeing the inlaws yesterday, I'm lucky that they're reLly nice and we get on well. They loved seeing Jacob, last time was Christmas and he's changed loads. Next time I see them I'll have a baby, eep! No real plans for today, the weathers looking nicer though, so maybe a walk somewhere.
13/04/2014 at 07:51
SG, I'm jealous of your sleep, I was tossing and turning all night! Nothing fun today, I've got work! Day off again tomorrow, though.
Lots of vibes to Counter for today so you can have you 13 April baby!

Woooo counter today's the day! Lots of vibes for a lovely labour!
I am now overdue and getting a little fed up :( I wake up with pains through the night, wee about 6 times and have terrible heartburn! Sorry for the moan. On a plus the meal out was actually very nice. Anybody got any nice plans for today?
13/04/2014 at 09:31
Massive good luck vibes to Counter! Here's hoping Baxter arrived nice and quickly and you're home as a family by tonight. Everything crossed for you xx
13/04/2014 at 10:02
Counter, GOOD LUCK today! Looking forward to seeing a flash of your newest family member :) I hope everything goes very smoothly x
Trifle, hope you had a nice time yesterday with your friend.
SG, hurrah to 8 hours of sleep!! Glad you had such a lovely day yesterday. Enjoy your walk today :)
Imp, ooo enjoy coffee and cake today! Yum :) Hope meeting the new boyfriend went well. I'm so glad that your aches and pains aren't too bad, long may it continue x
Wispa, hope you're feeling much better and that you've had no repeat episodes of feeling faint. How was yoga?
Bertie, I really hope the end is in sight for you and that baby Bertie makes an appearance soon x
AFM, yesterday we went to look at another 4 houses. We were on the 6am train and didn't get back until 10pm. I'm shattered today. The first house was a lovely family home, it was gorgeous. Loads of space and a nice big garden. The third house was a lot smaller, and in need of some major DIY, but it's in such a lovely area. I would love to raise our daughter there. We've lived near there previously and it felt like coming home. H and I had such a lovely afternoon wandering around the high street and having lunch.
We're going to make offers on house 1 & 3. The only worry is that house 3 is going to tender and we've no idea what to go in at. The house viewing was a free for all open day and there were so many other people viewing it. We've only got one chance to get it right with our bid...fingers crossed!
In baby news I've received a letter from the health visitor wanting to come and snoop meet me at home in a fortnight. At least I have enough notice to tidy up! Does anyone else's health authority do this? How long does it take her to do her snooping meet and greet? It's right in the middle of the day. Pain in the ar5e!
Hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday, lots of baby out vibes to those who need them xx
13/04/2014 at 10:47
Hi figaro, good news on the house front, I hope you manage to get one of them :) I bet you are tired though, sounds like a long day! We are still waiting to move into ours after having our offer accepted 1st October so fingers crossed for a speedy move for you. Are you just looking to get more space now?
Oh yes the health visitor, she came to see me a few weeks back. Think she was here about an hour? She had cards and I had to read the statement from them and them we would discuss, a clever way of getting you to talk about your relationship etc.
13/04/2014 at 10:48
Oh thank you so much ladies! xx
I've had monitoring, capsule in, monitoring, been for breakfast and a walk to the edge of the grounds. Pit stop now then more walking until midday, then lunch and more monitoring. Found out that once baby is born Andy can stay with us 24/7 which means so much to me/us, and guidelines - if all is well - is to stay for 6 hours after delivery, but with a twinkle in her eye and a little grin the MW said that they can't *make* us stay the 6 hours :)
Baby out vibes for Bertie!
13/04/2014 at 10:58
Oh that's great Counter, hopefully you can go home as soon as your ready :) and at least you know hubs can stay. hope you enjoyed your mac and cheese last night!
