Was just about to post on the other tri thread when I realised it's Monday!
I'm tentatively jumping into posting on BT - I got my BFP on Wednesday and I'm 5+1 today. EDD is 9th December. Symptoms haven't been too bad so far, mainly tiredness during the day and disturbed sleep at night, hence me posting earlier than I would get up for work!
Hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend.

Congratulations Peanut! I can't believe how quickly this year is going, a December EDD!! How exciting. Have you been up to much over Easter yourself?
Well, now that I'm 28 weeks I am absolutely, definitely 3rd tri! Part of me genuinely thought that was a sentence I'd never get to say. We've had a lovely long weekend so far, growth scan on Thursday, then drove down to my mum's and saw my brother, sister in law and youngest niece for a little while. Friday morning we went to my best friend's and loaded everything she hadn't been able to fit in her car into ours and then we all headed back to ours in the North East. I came up with my best friend to navigate her and H drove solo... With the exception of some noisy toys that got knocked when he went over a bump and then kept singing for 2 whole hours! Poor H! We had a lovely couple of days with my friend and our godson, the house seemed so empty after they'd left yesterday. Today's plan is to head out and get a change bag that I saw on Saturday and haven't been able to stop thinking about since - it's a sign that I need it, right?!
Hope you're all having lovely long weekends too!

Peanut that is fantastic news! So pleased for you. I hope the symptoms stay away for you. If you don't mind me asking, how many rounds of clomid have you had?
Afm - still so tired! But otherwise feeling good. Counting down to our 20 week scan on the 22nd now.
Anyone do anything exciting over the weekend?
06/04/2015 at 08:40
peanut - congratulations! Hope you have a healthy 9 months!
st - sounds like a busy, lovely weekend. Lol at the toy singing for 2 hours, your poor h!
holey - not long till your scan, exciting!
Afm -had our 12 week scan on wed, all good, edd 15th oct. Every day since then has been telling friends and family which is nice, especially telling T.Easter egg hunt today!
Hi to all who follow x

ST - I've had a lovely weekend with family (although it's been so hard not to blurt out the news!) Sounds like you've had a great weekend too. And yes you definitely need that changing bag!
Holey - I got my BFP on the 3rd round of Clomid. 20 week scan is very exciting, have you decided whether you're going to find out the sex?
Welshthistle - Really pleased for you that everything's looking good on the 12 week scan.
06/04/2015 at 20:50
Peanut - massive congratulations! Fingers crossed you stay symptom free! X
ST - woo hoo for 3rd tri! That's definitely a sign that you NEED that changing bag!
Holey - hope the days fly by for you x
WT- fab news about the 12 week scan. Love the telling people bit, hope everyone's been over the moon for you!
AFM have an antenatal appointment in Friday, no idea what it's for but assuming it's the consultant and then our 20 week scan on the 24th which is also my OH's birthday, can't wait although we still think we aren't going to find out the sex, let's see if we stick to that. I'm not sure E is old enough to understand but when we say baby he's pointing to my (readily expanding) tummy! It's true that you show much earlier with your 2nd!

ST - woohoo to 3rd tri! sounds like a lovely weekend. I imagine your H was driven mad by the toys going off for 2 hours! Did you get your changing bag? Which one do you fancy? I quite like the look of the paca pod ones.
WT - glad all was well at your scan. Is T looking forward to being a big brother?
Mrs P - can't believe how close together we are! If it makes you feel better I am showing too and this is my first. We'll have to do bump shot comparisons!
We don't want to find out what we are having. We've both said it from the beginning and neither of us has wavered so we are sticking to that. Although I'm nearly 18 weeks I'm still shattered. I thought that wore off after 1st tri?!
07/04/2015 at 08:05
Holey - not long to wait for your scan! My tiredness was just as overwhelming in 2nd tri - although some of that was possibly down to the meds I was on. I've felt a lot more lively the last 4 or 5 weeks... But once I do start feeling tired, it consumes me quickly!
WT - It's so lovely being able to share the news. Is T excited? I did feel so sorry for H, he's as laid back as they come but when he was telling me he sounded pretty wound up!
Peanut - you'll be able to share your news in no time at all (just keep telling yourself that, while time seems to pretty much stop!) It is so hard not to tell every single person you see at first haha!
Mrs Penguin - What a lovely birthday present for your OH. I hope Friday's appointment goes well. E sounds so cute!
Well, I got the change bag - I had to. Couldn't stop thinking about it! It's a Beaba one, I think it's called open sac or something like that. I scoured the internet and saw it selling for upwards of £55 on the likes of eBay, so £20 from TKMaxx was too much of a bargain to turn down. My best friend loved it, and she's very particular about change bags so if she thinks it's fab then it's fab! It's huge, opens out really wide so no scrabbling around in the bottom, and includes loads of nifty little extra bits. Never thought I'd be so caught up in a change bag haha!
I've got a midwife appointment in just over an hour so I'm currently lounging around the house waiting to head out, before going to work. I sooooo CBA with work today! I can't really complain, after having had a 5-day weekend, but I'd much rather be at home and continuing to go through all the exciting baby things my best friend has given us!
07/04/2015 at 10:59
Peanut - Congratulations on your BFP! Can't believe there are December Babies on the way!!
ST - Sounds like you had a fab weekend! And I'm glad you managed to get the change bag you wanted. I was the same with ours. I kept looking, but always came back to the same one time and again.
Holey - 22nd isn't long at all to go until your 20 week scan! Hope it all goes well! That's my last week at work, so i'll be on the count down with you! :-)
Welshthistle - Glad your 12 week scan went well! 15th October is the day before my little sisters birthday!
MrsP - Is your appointment not a general midwife appointment? or are you being seen for something? W is the same about baby. I don't think he knows really what it's all about, but if you ask him where baby is, he points my tummy and will give it a cuddle and kiss, which is just too cute!
AFM - I over did it at the weekend between painting the downstairs hall, shopping with W on my own and generally tidying up the house over the weekend, by Monday i was a wreck. Cannot believe I'm nearly term!
I've been rethinking whether i want to go for the elective section too. Got my 36 week midwife appointment tomorrow, so i'm going to speak to her about how i'm feeling and see what she says and if she can persuade me that leaving it to nature is a bad idea.
Only 2 and a half weeks left at work! which is good! :-) Just trying to keep on top of everything and get my handover notes finished!
Hi to all who follow! :-)

RKB, I think consultant or possibly vbac clinic was mentioned, so could be that. All my midwife appointments are at my gp, but this is at the hospital with a Dr, so who knows.
Let us know how you get on tomorrow, will be reading with interest! I'm sure you'll be happy with what ever is decided xxx
08/04/2015 at 09:16
RKB - hope it goes well with the mw today and you get the result you want.
ST - how was your mw appointment? I've been looking at those changing bags now, they do look really good, might take a trip to tk maxx. I've been tentatively looking at them and can't believe how few unisex ones there are. I just want one so if my H goes out on his own he doesn't look like a plonker with a handbag! Have you got your pram yet?
Anyone heard from popcorn this week? Don't think I've seen anything from her?
General question, those of you planning to go back to work, are you going back full time? I'm currently trying to decide whether it will be too much. I frequently work 11-12 hour days so know that won't be happening anymore but my job doesn't really lend itself to part time working. Sorry, I think I'm rambling!
08/04/2015 at 09:38
RKB - Naughty you, overdoing it! It's so easily done though. I managed to make my stomach muscles really hurt on Thursday after too much vigorous hoovering, so that's a lesson learnt. Hope you've rested plenty since! You must be so ready to finish work now, not long to go! Hope your mw appt goes well and you come out with a plan you're happy with.
Mrs Pengiun - I'm sure all will become clear tomorrow!
Holey - The midwife appointment was good thanks, longest one I've had in a while! You'd think I'd handle bloods being taken better than I do after all the practice I've had with IVF, but nope, I still hate it! A pram was in amongst all the stuff given to us by my best friend, she's honestly saved us an absolute fortune - and saved me the whole problem of making a decision because I'm really not good with decisions! They had a few different change bags in TK Maxx so it's well worth a look. I know what you mean, they do seem to be mostly gender specific, but IMO blue is a bit more universally acceptable than pink is - and H will be more comfortable hauling around a brown and blue one than brown and pink!
At the moment I'm kind of working on the assumption that I'll come back to work, I highly doubt it would be full time, but I can't make any firm (or even vague!) decisions until after baby is born and we know the extent of the heart problems and whether there's anything else going on and whether I'll need to be at home to look after the little monkey. It's all very up in the air! That's not helpful at all is it? Sorry!
Today I'm having myself a pity party for one, although if anyone wants to join me I'd be happy to have the company! After having the whooping cough vaccine yesterday morning, my arm started really aching last night and as a result I've had a terrible night's sleep. So I'm tired, sore, and my work computer is doing its damndest to pee me right off today!
08/04/2015 at 14:56
I'm here I'm here! I haven't had much chance to get on this week so will try and catch up with you all tonight once S is in bed. Thought I'd better stick my nose in before that in case anyone got excited that I might've popped!
08/04/2015 at 17:22
MrsP - If it's at the hospital, then i guess it must be the consultant/or clinic.
Holey - I went back full time after taking all the paid leave i was entitled to, so W was 8 months old when i went back on a phased return, but by the time i was back to full time, he was nearly a year old. I plan to do the same again this time (can't afford to work less than full time at the minute unless the husband gets a better paid job, or we win the lottery!
ST - You have my sympathy with the Whooping cough jab. It bloody hurts afterwards! If it's any consolation, it only lasts a few days before it starts to ease. Thankfully for me i sleep on my left and am left handed, so i could at least sleep at night.
Popcorn - Glad to see you're still about, but oh my goodness! not long to go now!!! :-)
AFM - Midwife appointment went as well as i expected. She made a few valid points about pros and cons of each decision, but didn't really persuade me either way. I had to get blood taken to check me for anemia for the 3rd time this pregnancy because i mentioned that my legs were feeling crampy if walked for too long, or was standing for too long. I've to go for a presentation scan next week to see what way baby is lying because the midwife wouldn't work out where baby was today, which doesn't really surprise me as she does keep turning at the minute.
Hope everyone has had a nice day and get's to enjoy some of the lovely weather we've had this past few days!
08/04/2015 at 19:38
Ah popcorn I was starting to wonder!
ST - your friend sounds fab! Ah I hate bloods too, last time they took mine it was right on the edge of crease of my elbow, v.stingy! I think you need some easter eggs to cheer you up today! Or something equally as yummy. Food always cheers me up! I kept meaning to ask if you know what you're having?
RKB - I hope she's helped you decide. You sounded so fed up yesterday. Thanks for the insight into the work situation. Without sounding braggy we could afford for me not to go back at all but I've worked hard at my career and mostly enjoy it so want to go back. I just can't even fathom how difficult it will be at the moment!
Feeling a bit strange today, bump is a bit achy and I keep wanting to say oofft if that makes any sense!
08/04/2015 at 21:30
Peanut - congratulations! Welcome to the tri threads. Hope the tiredness eases for you x
ST - sounds like a lovely weekend :) I'm off to google your changing bag as it sounds like the sort of thing I am after! Sorry you are suffering after your jab, whooping cough one is bloody painful!
Holey - I think tiredness is one of those things that comes and goes the whole time I'm afraid (it has done for me anyway). Take advantage of any little spurts of energy that might happen and spend the rest of the time resting, especially if bump is a bit achey. Could be a growth spurt? You might find you 'pop' a bit more in the next couple of days?
WT - congrats on a healthy happy scan :)
MrsP - hope the appointment goes ok. I had massive wobbles about finding out the sex this time for lots of reasons, I so desperately wanted to know but H didn't so we didn't find out :(
RKB - how are you feeling about C-sec vs VABC after your appointment? You sound just like me with the over-doing it, it's hard to slow down I find!
AFM - would very much like a baby now please! I have absolutely zero intention of going overdue. We're pretty much sorted with everything we need, bag is packed, house is straight (when S is asleep) and mentally, I feel ready. I've been having the odd bout of period-like pain but it's not come to anything. I hate the waiting! SPD is thankfully not too bad which has meant seeing less of my MIL. Lovely as it is that she is around to help and I am really grateful, her and my FIL can be very interfering and I find it difficult to 'parent' naturally around them as they question everything and rarely let me interact with S so I've been feeling a little smothered! I need a breather! x
09/04/2015 at 09:25
Holey - That's great that you wouldn't need to go back (I don't think that's a braggy thing to say :-) ) I think if you enjoy your job, not going back would be difficult to take. As bad as this may sound, I'm actually glad that i went back to work. Although i do wish i didn't have to work full time (i don't love my job that much, but it's a stepping stone to better things eventually)
Popcorn - I'll join you on the baby eviction. I'm not even term yet and i'm fed up! I can relate on the parenting thing with my MIL. She has an opinion on everything, and it's quite frankly, opinions that i'd rather she kept to herself.
09/04/2015 at 10:06
Holey - Is it wrong that I've had no easter eggs at all this year? Might be heading to the supermarket tonight so if they've got any reduced we might pick some up! Haha when people ask me that my go-to response seems to have become "we're having a cheeky little monster"! Achy bump can be quite unpleasant and uncomfortable, hope it feels better today!
Popcorn - Hope baby doesn't keep you waiting too much longer, that coupled with your ILs must be quite trying - I think I would crack! I absolutely hate being smothered.
RKB - Hope your baby doesn't hang around in there longer than completely necessary too!
Thankfully my arm is less sore today, so I'm not quite as fed up as I was yesterday! It's my last day in my office this week, I'm going to work with H tomorrow which will be nice for many reasons - it's a change of scenery, I get to sit next to him all day and chat/pester him(!), I will get to have something yummy for lunch (possibly the biggest plus to being there!), and I'll get to show bump off to his colleagues. Oh, and his office has windows that open and movement of air, unlike my office which is like a greenhouse this week!
09/04/2015 at 13:49
Popcorn - need to get on the pineapple and the curries then! Glad MIL is giving you some space, I imagine it's difficult just always having someone else there.
ST - sneaky answer! Can I ask, do you know what you're having but not sharing? You don't have to answer if you don't want to. Also you need to rectify the easter egg situation immediately! What does your H do?
RKB - yes I think I want to work but not sure if I want to be full time. I just don't know if it's feasible to be anything but though.
After a decent night sleep the bump is a lot less achy today. Maybe I just over did it. Good news is that I think I've decided when I'm going to finish work and when I'm going back. Hoping to have 9 months.
