Hi all, how are you? RKB and mummysimspon - this week, right?!
A relatively quiet weekend was had for me - Friday we binge watched Masterchef (only got the last episode to go now, no spoilers!!), Saturday I had a yoga class and then we went to the food market here to buy some monkfish cheeks and eat banh mi for lunch (t'was amazing!). Saturday evening I made a curry with the monkfish which went ok, but a little on the sour side. Still, was nice for a first attempt. Yesterday we had the interesting task of washing, priming and painting two doors white. Boring, but worth it! Watched Operation Argo in the evening too, I've seen it before but love it. Still on the edge of my seat at the end, even though I know what happens!
Baby-wise I have my scan today at 12.45pm my time (so 11.45am UK time) - very nervous but I know that's normal. Any spare vibes would be appreciated! My mild nausea has done a runner for now, but my boobs are hurting more this morning. They're not uber sensitive but they're gradually getting more painful.
Hi to all who follow :-)

Sounds like a busy weekend you have had. Best of luck for your scan, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Can't wait to see a scan picture on here afterwards.
Yes I believe me and RKB will be having our babies at some point this week. Exciting.
There isn't much to report from me. I'm feeling a bit apprehensive now knowing that this is the week. I'm having a pregnancy massage, facial and my hair done in preparation to feel a bit more human. I'm a bit sad to know that this is the last time I will be pregnant but I feel so blessed that we have been able to have three children and I suppose it's a bonus that I have only had to go through the pregnancy woes twice.
Good luck to RKB.
Hi to everyone else!

Thanks, MS. I've just started bleeding. It's not painful and it's not a lot at all, but it is red. I'm absolutely terrified. I'm praying that it's nothing but I can't focus. Over an hour until we have to leave.
27/04/2015 at 10:46
Really hope that it is nothing. There are a few on here who have had bleeding and it's turned out fine. But make sure you mention it whilst you are there xxx
27/04/2015 at 11:04
Oh enjayee keeping everything crossed it's nothing. I hope the scan goes well. Please let us know how it goes xx
27/04/2015 at 12:06
Enjayee - keeping everything firmly crossed, hopefully right now you're being reassured that all is well. Bleeding isn't uncommon at all, but I know how terrifying it is to see.
MS - goodness, how exciting that it's this week! I'm not surprised you're feeling apprehensive, I'm sure I would be in your shoes too. It's nice that you've got a spot of pampering booked in though!
How are you Holey?
Big wave to RKB if you're around, hope you've managed to fit in some relaxing over the weekend.
AFM - other than my rant on a separate thread, I'm feeling very achy and tired today and generally just want to swear at people now after that conversation. My back and hips are incredibly sore and at 4am I had to give up trying to lie down and just prop myself up and try to sleep that way! I've got MW tomorrow so will mention it to her, and if she can't offer any solutions or remedies then I'll see if a GP can help. I'd go home if getting there by myself wasn't such an ordeal! But, on a positive note, only 14.5 more working days to go! We spoilt baby rotten yesterday, bought loads of cute little rompers and sleep suits and things.

Update: There was no pregnancy in my uterus. Will find out by the end of the week whether I am miscarrying or whether it's ectopic. Either way I am devastated.
27/04/2015 at 12:41
Oh Enjayee. I know there's nothing I can say right now that will make it even remotely better. Be kind to yourself and grieve all you need to. Sending you huge hugs xx
27/04/2015 at 12:52
So sorry Enjayee. Xx
27/04/2015 at 18:25
Oh no. Enjayee I'm so sorry. Look after yourself and each other, we're here for you too. X
29/04/2015 at 10:48
Enjayee if you are reading this I am thinking of you x
ST - how did you get on with the mw? Did they help at all? Hope you had a nice time buying a few bits!
MS - hope you're ok!
RKB - congratulations!
Afm - starting to feel pregnant now! Baby seems to like to have a shuffle about after dinner most nights. The other night I could see the movements on the outside! I wasn't expecting that yet!
29/04/2015 at 13:52
Ooh Holey, how exciting! How far on are you now? I didn't see movements til I was 25 weeks. I got on OK at the MW, I've been referred for physio so hopefully that will come through soon. She had a feel to check baby's position and said that although baby is very much wrapped right around me (which I kind of knew, judging by the movements I feel!) she couldn't feel the head. She laughed when I said not to worry, we know it has a head as we've seen it a LOT of times now at our many scans! She thinks the head is possibly tucked right down in my pelvis. Guess we'll find out tomorrow at our next scan!

I'm 21 weeks today. It's not like a foot poking out, more like ripples and pokes but it's strange!
I hope the physio helps. You've had a rough time this pregnancy! Let us know how the scan goes today? Is it just a routine one or a special one?
Mrs P are you about? Hope you're alright.
30/04/2015 at 13:33
Thought I'd waste no time in joining in the weekly threads. Please bear with me while I catch up.
Enjayee - hugs to you if you see this xx
ST - Hope you're physio appointment comes through quickly and that you can find some relief from the aches and pains in the meantime. How was your scan today?
Holey - So exciting that you can actually see movements now! I'm not quite there yet - I can feel kicks but can't see them.
AFM - I had a midwife appointment this morning and all seems well. She was able to reassure me about baby's movements as I've been worrying that they're so sporadic, but she says that's to be expected for now, and that the fact I have an anterior placenta means I'll feel them even less. Also, I spoke to HR about my maternity leave today so now on countdown to 21st August!
30/04/2015 at 13:45
All ok, had a bout of d+v so not feeling great. But, have sold the house!
Enjayee - I'm so sorry to read your update, hope you are doing ok and are looking after yourself xxx
30/04/2015 at 20:17
Mrs P - boo to the d&v, I hope you're alright? E hasn't got it too has he? But yay to the house!
Aria - I've heard that about anterior placenta meaning you feel less. I'm surprised at his much I can see/feel at this stage. I'm looking to finish work either that week or the week after, need to make a decision really! Do you know how long you're having off?
01/05/2015 at 10:50
Holey - it only gets stranger haha!
Aria - hello! Glad the mw reassured you. Your countdown to ML scares me - I'll have an actual baby by then and will be a year older myself! Argh!!
Mrs P - the d&v sounds horrible but yay to selling your house!
What a couple of days I'm having! Good news is my physio appt was sorted by the end of Wednesday, got that next Tues. Yesterday I realised late morning that I hadn't felt baby move, so I tried all the usual tricks and by the time I was really starting to panic I felt a twitch so didn't ring the hospital and waited til I got there for the scan. I mentioned it to the consultant, and she said everything looked fine when she did the scan so I felt better. But then I never got the evening going mental thing happens every day, so I struggled to go to sleep worrying and then woke up a couple of hours later and spent the next 2.5 hours laying there worrying before trying a cold drink and food again. At 4am I gave up and rang the hospital who asked me to go in, so off we went and I spent 2 hours hooked up to a CTG monitor. Baby seems fine, they think maybe it's turned so the movements are going inwards and thats why I'm not feeling them. So I'm not in work today, I'm trying to catch up on the sleep I didn't have during the night!
01/05/2015 at 10:57
Oh blimey ST! This baby is doing its best to worry you! Glad all was fine though. I hope you've got a quiet weekend planned?
01/05/2015 at 12:35
I'm definitely growing a troublesome one :( we're dog sitting tonight which I could really do without to be honest, and we've got a wedding to go to on Sunday - so not particularly quiet as weekends go! Oh well!!
01/05/2015 at 13:47
What a little pickle ST! Hopefully getting all of the trouble out of the way now and they'll be good as gold once here! X
