So I have my next appointment with my consultant in two weeks time, as you may already know I am a high Risk pregnancy due to the fact that I had a blood clot to my brain (rare form of stroke) as well as epilepsy and a MC, I am gonig to be Consultant lead the whole way however i need to start getting my head around Birth and my Options
I dont think I will be given much options which is fine as long as I am told, I dont want to start making birth plans and looking into alternate methods of pain relief if their intentions are to give me a C section
do you think 16 week appointment is to early to ask ?

Never too early to ask. Go for it.

Never too early to ask, I'd want to know too. There might be more options availble to you than you think though

Never hurts to ask. My friend who's underlying condition caused a tear of 4 out of 7 layers of her aorta (the main artery out her heart) has been told a c-section is out of the question for her because it would cause her blood pressure to dive. So keep your mind & options open!

I would definately ask. After an emergency CS last time my first consultant appt was at 16 weeks and although they said I didn't need to make my decision then they discussed all my options there in terms of VBAC or elective CS. So I assume the appointment for you would be similar. Give you all the facts so you can go away and spend a few weeks thinking about your choices
