Morning everyone! It's been really quiet on all the Tri threads so I thought why not combine them all for a while? Hope nobody minds giving it a go. If it doesn't work out we can change it back again of course.
So how is everybody doing? Did anybody do anything nice over the weekend?
We took Dex to see Santa on Sat. They had Christmas market stalls, a band, real reindeer and an animal nativity barn too. It was brilliant but very muddy. Then on Sat night me and H went to see Interstellar at the cinema and it was so rubbish. But was still nice to get out and we had a nice meal at Wagamamas. Their ginger chicken udon is my new pregnancy craving.
Yesterday we had a trip to mothercare and toys r us. Got some clothes for Dex for Christmas and we had a look at some double and tandem pushchairs. It made me realise how much there is to get for the twins. Because even though we can re-use some bits from Dex, we have to get one more of most things. I think we've decided on the Icandy peach 3 as a pushchair. With the idea being me slinging one of the twins and Dex and the other twin going in the pushchair.
Today, were going to get Dex weighed as he feels like he has put a lot on. Fingers crossed he has as he was only below the 25th percentile last time.
Hi to all who follow!

Hi MS, I guess mixing it up could work whilst it's quiet.
Sounds like you've had a great weekend! Sorry the film was rubbish but I bet it was lovely to just spend some time together. I am also a huge fan of Wagamamas but my fave is the Katsu curry, bloody love the stuff.
AFM, had a lovely time at Hoar Cross Hall Spa, it was just what the doctor ordered, could have easily stayed for 2 nights instead of the one, but it was nice to get back home to see hubby and got the most ridiculous welcome home greet from Ray, you'd think I'd been gone a week but furbaby cuddles are the best!
Scan is this Friday and I'm so nervous. I keep pinching myself that we've actually got this far when I never expected too that I feel it can't possibly be true, I feel a bit all over the place in all honesty and don't know how I'm going to cope sitting in the waiting room I'm going to be a wreck. I'm just hoping and praying I see a wriggly baby and they tell me everything is ok, maybe then I can start to enjoy this pregnancy.
In other news my sister in law is giving birth to my twin nieces tomorrow, so exciting. xx

MS it must seem quite overwhelming shopping for 2 more babies! Hope Dexter has put some weight on bless him.
Claire keeping everything crossed for Friday. That wait until 12 week scan feels like and it must be even worse after everything you've been through!
AFM managed 1 hour of Xmas shopping yesterday before the cyst pain and dizziness kicked in. Thankfully I sorted my nephews weeks ago and managed to sort our parents yesterday so just each other now which is easy enough. Can't believe now fast pregnancy is going!

Claire - keeping my fingers crossed for you on Friday and hoping that you will be able to enjoy the pregnancy afterwards. How exciting about your SIL tomorrow. I guess she is having an elective cesarean then? Do twins run in the family for her? I'm so jealous of your trip to hoar cross hall. I really do love it there. Chicken Katsu curry used to be my favourite but ever since I tried the ginger chicken udon I just can't get enough!
Fur mummy - it is overwhelming, me and H have both said that we won't believe there is two until they are here. Partly because it's so surprising since there are no twins in the family and they are naturally conceived and partly because we don't want to get our hopes up until nearer the time incase of any complications and the risk we have of twin to twin transfusion. Sorry to hear about your cyst pain and dizziness. Glad you managed to get some shopping done though. Pregnancy seems to fly by after the 12 week scan. Congrats on being 30 weeks!

Furmummy - Thank you :) You haven't got long left at all have you!
MS - Yes it's an elective, she's done really well to make 37 weeks as we thought they may arrive early! No, my SIL also had IVF - she sadly suffered 2 ectopic pregnancies last year and she lost both her tubes, so she had her first cycle of IVF February and she caught first time :) I must try this ginger chicken udon, I fancy noodles now!
01/12/2014 at 11:28
That's sad that she went through so much, but she must be so excited to have her two babies coming tomorrow! I really want ginger chicken udon now! The problem is that our Wagamamas is in our shopping centre and it will probably be really busy in there.
01/12/2014 at 12:53
Good idea, one thread might work!
MS - Sounds like you had a busy but lovely weekend! I've not been to Wagamamas in years, I had a bad meal there once and it put me off! I hope D gets a good weight!
CL - Sounds like you also had a lovely weekend, I'm glad you enjoyed the spa. It's funny isn't iit how they go mad when you come back even if you've not been gone long! Makes us feel loved! I have everything crossed for you for Friday, I hope this week doesn't drag for you. It will be fine though, and good luck to your sister in law!
FM - I hope you are taking it easy, sounds like that bit of shopping was hardwork for you. I can't believe how fast your pregnancy has gone it's crazy!
AFM - I had a lovely weekend, we've got our decorations up! We're always early, but next door have done their's too! I did some Christmas shopping Saturday, I'm 70% done now. I wandered through the babys r us section of Toys r us on Saturday, I couldn't bring myself to look at anything properly though, I felt like a big imposter!
I have felt a bit concerned because my nausea isn't anywhere near as bad now, I'm worried it could be a bad sign. I have also read it does tail off for lots of people between 9 and 10 weeks because the placenta is working, but I'm still a bit worried. I've got my booking in appointment on Wednesday.
01/12/2014 at 20:43
One thread sounds like a good idea!
MS - Would a buggy board attach to the iCandy to give you more travel options? Sounds like you had a lovely weekend.
CL - the spa sounds lovely, fingers crossed for you for Friday. How exciting that your nieces will be arriving tomorrow!
FM - that's rubbish about your cyst pain and dizziness, though at least you're getting sorted.
DP - my MS tailed off at around 10 weeks with O, try not to worry. Glad you're nearly sorted for Christmas.
AFM - I'm 39 weeks tomorrow (how?!) and everything is now sorted for the baby, though she has to stay put for a little longer as O and L have chicken pox - there's no risk as I've already had it but I just want to deal with one thing at a time. I'm nearly sorted Christmas shopping-wise, just my parents and ILs to do but we're going to get hampers for them from a local farm shop nearer to Christmas. It's just all the wrapping I can't face as sitting/standing for prolonged periods messes my hips up. Sleep has been a bit hit 'n' miss but I'll just have to get used to it as I'll have a newborn very soon.
Hope everyone else is ok.

I've got my 12wk scan tomorrow morning!!! Eeek! I am both excited and terrified. Not looking forward to the full bladder feeling at all, but can't wait to hopefully see pea (that was the size of the baby when I first downloaded an app -and it's stuck as a nickname). I also can't wait to tell people, the lying is getting more difficult especially with the festive season as every knows I usually like a drink.
CL I have everything crossed for you for Friday.
Nice to get to know everyone else a bit more. DollyP my nausea definitely eased off at 10weeks too!
02/12/2014 at 08:56
Dolly P - try not to worry about the nausea. Good luck for your booking in tomorrow.
DS - Not long for you to go now is there! I'm not a fan of wrapping xmas pressies either. Can't you get someone else to do it? Sorry to hear your sleep is a bit hit and miss.
FF - Good luck for your 12 week scan today! How exciting. I found the full bladder thing uncomfortable but it's only for a short time. Have you told anyone yet? When are you planning on telling? I'm not normally much of a drinker, but this time round I have had the urge for a glass of wine a couple of times. But managed to resist.
CL- Good luck for your SIL today. What time is she booked in? You must be really excited to have them here!
AFM - Dex has a cold :-( poor boy keeps coughing and sneezing. It's probably only a matter of time until I get it. He had put on 1lb 5oz when he was weighed yesterday, so good going and he is now between the 25th and 50th percentile, so I'm really happy. Not much planned for today. Just keeping Dex in the warm.
Hi to everyone that follows!
02/12/2014 at 09:04
DS - I hate wrapping as well. Can your H do it?
FF - good luck with your scan tomorrow!
DP - can't be long until your 12 week scan now?
CL - exciting your nieces arrive today
MS - hope Dex feels better soon
AFM a bit of a headache and I need to do some jobs around the house today. Lacking in motivation!
02/12/2014 at 11:11
FM - I would let H do it but he's make a right pig's ear of it! Just focus on one job, have a cupper/feet up, next job and so on.
03/12/2014 at 07:58
DS - how is your headache today? Did you manage to get your jobs done? Hope you got some rest too.
Off to the midwife this morning for my 14 week appointment. She doesn't know yet that I'm having twins so it will be interesting to see how that changes the appointment if it all. Dex was really struggling with his cold last night and we were up with him three times so I feel so tired today. He's been sleeping through the night for months now so I'm not used to being up with him. We're off to York for Thursday and Friday with the PIL, we're going to the Christmas market and taking Dexter on a train to meet santa. So I'm hoping he will be better for that. Must make a start on the packing today.

Sorry dexters ill and you've had a bad night MS
Got my first mw appointment today 9+1 excited and nervous. Fed up of feeling sick and constipated and can't remember how long it went on for last time. My darling sunny girl who's 20 months has turned into a misery crying at everything multiple wakes up in the night moaning and groaning. She's not sick, but it is wearing me down.
03/12/2014 at 08:57
Sorry you've had a bad night too BLL. Good luck for your MW app today. Hope the sickness and constipation wears off soon x
03/12/2014 at 13:03
MS - how was the mw? How's D this morning? The train ride to meet Santa sounds lovely! I'm sure you'll all enjoy it.
CL - exciting news about your SIL. Hopefully Friday comes along quickly for you.
FM - make sure you're resting up too.
DP - like you've said yourself, try not to worry. The ms does start to fade away for most people around now and everyone's body reacts differently!
DS - oh no, hope they are feeling better soon. I've been doing my wrapping in different sittings because I couldn't face the leaning over bump to sort it all out for too long.
FF - just seen your update on the scan. Glad it all went well and what a great little picture you've got there.
LG - hope all goes well today. Oh no, hope it's just a short phase she's going through.
AFM - sorry I've been awol. M has had a horrid cold this week so it's mostly been spent having cuddles in front of the TV, this doesn't happen often so figured I should make the most of it! Plus it's given me and bump a chance to have a rest too. Babywise not a lot to report.. 1 month until DD today and I've already reached the point where I'm pretty much ready for this baby to be out. The extra fluid just feels like it's weighing me down constantly.
03/12/2014 at 13:39
Hi Sapphire. MW didn't go to well. Everything was fine with babies and heard both the heartbeats. But they had to take bloods that should have been taken at booking in, were attempted to be taken twice afterwards but lost. After about an hour of being stabbed with needles in 5 different places by three different people they eventually got what they needed but now my arm really hurts. Dexter was not happy to be waiting around. But other than that, all absolutely fine.
How have you only got one month left? Hope M is better now and you are still managing to get some rest. I remember that feeling well from last time. Hope your baby doesn't keep you waiting too long after DD.
