Hi, it's probably nothing to worry about but I would give your midwife a quick call just to make sure. My feet and fingers generally swell through the day and have done from about 36 weeks so I had an extra blood pressure check and all is fine. But it is better to be safe.

Also putting your feet up (make OH do tea!) and flexing your hands like a baby waving bye bye generally help me. I find sitting on the sofa with my feet on my birth ball helps.

Thanks K, think I have just overdone it a bit today...baby is moving fine and only just had my blood preessure checked yesterday so should be okay. Gonna have a relaxing bath later and put my feet up like you suggest. You must be counting the days now 40+1! Im 38 today and hoping this time I will have my baby early, was 10 days overdue with my first!

    Hi G/C

I got horrible swollen feet and hands when I was 34 weeks and I went to the doc and they sent me up the hospital and they monitored my little girl's heart beat and my BP for a couple of hours but they sent me home and told me to rest and I was still working at this point so had to give up work, I also could only wear a pair of shoes two sizes bigger then what I am until she arrived but after a few days of having her it went thank god

might be worth checking with midwife asap, i only had swollen ankles and felt fine but ended up having PE so dont take any chances, better to be safe xxx
