I am 30 weeks and 1 day with my first baby for the last few days I have have really bad pressure pressing down and light pain down below. Also where it's pressing down its like I'm about to wet myself all the time.
my stomach tightens up here and there but not too often. When I told my so called midwife at 28 weeks she said it was nothing and too early for braxton hicks.
is it normal?

Hi and congratulations, i also have been experiencing this from 28 weeks and put it down to braxton hicks!
im 33 weeks now and my god they are 100x more strong im actually dreading the real thing.. breathe deep and rest plenty when possible, giving your belly a light rub with a warm hand helps mine too. Its just your body getting ready for the big show! dont worry :)

thank you, my midwife/s as I never see the same one. is always just trying to rush me out. i just don't feel like I have had that support that I was promised for first baby.

I feel like that sometimes too, you dont wanna make a big deal of things because you feel it gets pushed under the carpet or like you're being over cautious about things.
This is my first baby too and only have saw my own midwife twice as she is always 'on holiday' when i have appointments. if you're in the UK there should be a walk in maternity centre at the local hospital. I know where i live we have a great maternity assessment unit and you can ring 24/7 for advice. I was forced into going after suffering bad heart palpitations in early pregnancy and the care they provided was second to none.

You can feel braxton hicks as early as 10 weeks (me being one of them) sounds like you're just experiencing that,it happens every so often and then more often in third trimester to get your body ready for the real thing I know it can hurt like hell and sometimes it made me panic but you find drinking water and laying down will help it go away and then you can get on with what you was doing before :)
