Hi ladies so il explain all
Yesterday evening lennon was sitting on my lap and i thought he had peed on me, i asked stuart to lift him off me and he said nope lennon was dry! i was soaked, so we rung our maternity unit and they told me to put on a pad and get to the main hospital so we did, and by the time we arrived the pad was soaked again.
the triage team thought my waters had gone! so we were put on a machine and baby was bouncing around at 180-200 heart rate! this did drop to 160 after 20 mins, they did an internal and said nope my waters had not gone! i was kept in over night on pad watch and all was fine.....
i had a scan last week and he was breeched and the scan last night showed him head down yet today a consultant said he was head up again!
iv been told.....it was front waters that have gone?????? they have given me pills to take to fight infections and i had a steriod injection today and going back tomorrow for another one! got a scan still monday 15th to check baby.
Since being home iv got back ache and period pains worse if i sit down, iv got a pad on i dont think there is any leaking on it but there is discharge creamy colour.
Just wondered if anyone else has had this? what the out come was? did you go full term still?
I was told there is a 50/50% chance of going early now, but all might be ok and il still go to 40 weeks.
Just looking for some answers, with my son the hospital broke my waters so this is all new to me xxxx

Hi, if it helps this was me when I had my 2nd daughter, i lost my front waters at work when I was 31 weeks, I was taken to hospital given an internal where confirmed I had lost my front waters. I was also given a steroid injection to mature my babies lungs. 5 days later at 32 weeks whilst in hospital still (they would not allow me to go home) I experienced back ache and period pain on and off which got worse. I went to the loo, lost my plug and as I stood up my main waters broke in a huge gush. 20 minutes later I had given birth to my baby.
they gave me my baby to kiss but took her straight to SCBU where she remained for 11 days before I could take her home which was good considering she was born at 32 weeks. She was also a good weight at 5lbs 2oz when she was born.
its always a worry and it was hard as I did nothing but worry during this time but if you were allowed home they must be happy with you.
hope all goes well, if in doubt as you know go straight to hospital.x

Don't worry you will probably know if you lose your plug as you can normally tell, mine almost looked like a clot.
when you go back tomorrow like you say tell them what you are experiencing, they will be keeping a close eye on you now anyway or should be doing. Try and take it easy if you are not already doing so, easier said then done when you already have young children!
you will be fine am sure, babies, love to test us and keep us on our toes!

Wow, you're really going through it. I don't want to scare you but a friend of mine has had a few issues recently. Her waters went a few days ago & she was kept in overnight to see how she was getting on & ended up having her baby early the following morning at 35 weeks. It's panicked me a bit so I've started to pack things ready! I'm not saying that'll happen to you but it's better to be prepared.
Listen to your body (they didn't believe she was in labour & she nearly ended up having her baby in the toilets!!) & if you feel you're having contractions get yourself checked out. Take care & I hope you're baby will stay inside you growing for a few more weeks x

Oh sarah!... how worrying for you... Try your hardest to trust your midwife... They know your history in & out with this pregnancy... Every situation is different & im sure they will be taking all your info into account when advising you.
Try to be strong on monday & hopefully get the answers you need but I would also say that if you get too anxious over the weekend & need to put your mind at rest then just go up to a&e, explain about this pregnancy & your previous losses & im sire they would give you a scan to put your mind at rest.
keep us posted x x

Hi sarah rowland2. We've just spotted your thread and we just wanted to wish you all the best for Monday. I'd also like to add that something similar happened to me! I was 40weeks + 10 days and when I finally went in to labor, it turns out I'd lost all of my waters at least 3 days beforehand - I know every case is different, but they gave me the steroid shot and antibiotics and thankfully all was well.
So, going by my experience at least, I reckon that, if your consultants don't seem overly worried, it's probably a good sign. Please do keep us posted. We'll all be thinking of you.
