Hi ladies Im looking for a bit of advice please
i found out i was pregnant on Friday, im pretty sure im 5 weeks today.
Yesterday at work i had some mild cramps, then some pink tinged discharge which got bloodier each time i went to loo. Nothing on panty liner, just when i wiped. Nothing last night or this morning but this afternoon ive had a little bit of brown discharge.
This is our first pregnancy & im super paranoid. I tried to make a docs appt today but next Wed earliest i can get!
Anyone else experienced this? What would you do?

With my first pregnancy I was about six or seven weeks I think when I got my bfp. And a day later noticed pink when I was wiping. The mw said it can be something to do with your cervix, can't remember what properly sorry!
I know people on here normally say brown blood is nothing to worry about as it means it's old blood.
There's lots who have bleeding early on though so hopefully nothing to worry about and someone more useful will be along soon to reassure you x

Lots of people have bleeding early on and it turns out to be nothing sinister. Hopefully lots if people will be on to give good news stories to you.
Have you registered the pregnancy with the gp/midwives yet? If so maybe give them a call, they will possibly refer you to the Epu, if they think it's something better to be checked out. The Epu may then offer blood tests or scans to check what's going on.

I have my fisrt appt with docs/midwives next week - my docs are terrible for getting an appointment. I will phone my local EPU in the morning - have everything crossed its nothing to worry about

Hi, hopefully it's nothing to worry about. My sister had many bleeds between conception and 12 weeks, baby even moved really low but 6.5 months on her bump is growing and the baby seems fine, so it may not be anything to worry about. It must be hard, but try to stay calm, as stress won't make it better, but easier said than done I know.

Sometimes you get a bleed/discharge when you would of gotten your period, this early on is say it probably is fine, just keep an eye on it

I had pink and brown discharge when I was 5 weeks. Looking back, I'd massively overdone it that day. All was fine, the little bean I saw on my scan at the EPU is currently attached to my boob while we are snuggled in bed :) I hope its ok for you xxx

I had brown blood at around 6 weeks and then bright red at 8 weeks. After the first I called epu and they said to mintor it and call back if it filled a pad (which it didnt) but I booked a private scan and all was well. The bright red my midwife said was more than likely my period trying to break through. Fingers crossed for you.

I got a cancellation appt at Docs this morning. I saw a very nice locum doctor who thinks its nothing to worry about & just wait & see.
I dipped my urine at work last night & it was positive for blood but he seemed unconcerned about that.
Thanks again for your input & well wishes
