Hello, I am 5 wks pregnant with my first (that's 5 wks from the date of my last period). I have hardly had any symptoms at all which is worrying me. The only thing i have had is slight cramping in my womb, which feels a bit the mild cramping I get before a period. I expected to feel very tired, have sore boobs, nausea, etc but have had none of those. Also on all the pregnancy tests I did, the lines were quite faint, though I also did the clear blue digital which confirmed I was pregnant. I had chlamydia a few years ago so Im very worried this might be an ectopic pregnancy. Any reassurance would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Jess4, congratulations on your 1st pregnancy.
It is hard to believe (many women do not truly feel pregnant until they see baby at their scan) but every pregnancy is different and what happens during one may not happen in another.
My 1st pregnancy I breezed through with little symptoms other than a growing bump to indicate I was pregnant. My 2nd pregnancy was a complete change with weightloss, nausea, headaches and nosebleeds.
At 5wks you're still in the early stages & may not notice anything until you near 8-12wks of pregnancy (average time to start seeing your bump). Talk to your Dr and midwife and go through all the 'booking in' motions (discussing medical history from your family and dad's family, blood test and determining due date). If there are any concerns then these can be discussed and assessed during this process.
Best wishes and hoping you have a happy/healthy 9mths.

Thank you all for your replies. I guess I should make the most of being symptom-free at the moment rather than worry about it

Hey Jess4, : )
Congrants on your pregnancy !!
I'm 4 weeks pregnant an I have hardly had any symtoms apart from breast tenderness an slight cramping.
When I was pregnant with my Son I had alot of symtoms.. Morning sickness, Sore boobs, Cramping, Hot flushes, Dizzy spells, heartburn... Jeeze you name it.. I HAD IT !!!
But Im putting the lack of symptoms down to the fact it's really early on.. and they are yet to kick in with full force LoL!! (Some women are lucky to not have any at all)
Try not to worry to too much hun an enjoy the symptom free stage LoL x x
