A is 9 months in 2 days and his just started to test out crawling which is lovely. Since Monday he has had more energy than ever and only has 1 nap a day now instead of 2 or 3. He has also taken to waking at either 1am or 3am to play for an hour. He doesn't cry too much just tends to shout and move around his cot. He also refuses to go to bed before 10pm now too so I normally end up taking him to bed with me and then H puts him in his cot once his fallen asleep. He still has 3 7oz bottles a day plus a whole weetabix with moo moo milk for breakfast, a couple of snacks around 11, lunch at 12.30 with a fruit pot then dinner and a yoghurt so don't think it due to hunger but I could be wrong. His always been a fantastic sleeper so I can't complain just wanted to see if anyone has exsperianced the same with their LO's.. The only other thing I can think that's slightly different at the moment is the lighter evenings and mornings and that it's very humid too so didn't know if this could be the reason..

I think when they are learning a new skill their sleep can go to pot as their mind is doing overtime trying to process what they are learning so it could be that. The heat and light evenings def don't help.
Hope his sleep improves soon x

Thanks weekender. Wasn't having a moan as like I said we have been so lucky with his sleeping up to now. His normally a boy that likes his sleep and has gone through the night since 10 weeks so I can't complain now. Was more of a muse really as to why all of a sudden his sleeping pattern has changed. Does make since though. Also wanted to check incase I was under feeding him due to him using more energy through the day as nothing worse than waking in the night and feeling hungry x

HI We had some ver erratic sleep while disco was learning to crawl but then it setteled down and he slept better rhan ever (that said he didn't do daytime naps until he learnt to crawl so it felt like a massieve improvment). I think it took a couple of weeks before sleep setteled down.
Have you tried offering little one a bit extra during meals to see if they are hungry? Disco seems like a very hungry baby but he never keeps still so I think that is some of it. I have started giving him more to eat (if he doesn't want it he doesn't eat it) because he was having some many feeds ontop of his solid food

I did wonder if perhaps he was a little hungry as his using more energy during the day. I'm going to increase his snacks today (only by a few rice cakes and perhaps a banana) and see how he goes tonight.. X
