I've been thinking ahead to when our baby is born and would like to mark it with some kind of celebration. Our baby isn't being christened and I don't have that many female friends for a baby shower to be arranged for me - I wondered what you would do with regards to marking the occasion? The baby is due 10 August so hopefully, we will catch the back end of the summer.

We don't have a garden but that's a great idea x

Hi hun, not sure if you'd like this idea, but one of my friends had a 'naming ceremony' which is kind of like a blessing without the religious elements of a Christening. She had it in a small marquee/gazebo in her garden & still did the 'buffet' part with a nice cake after. She also had 'life parents' which I suppose are a similar thing to Godparents if you did have in mind special people that you want to 'unofficially' connect with your little one x x

Thats a lovely idea but I doubt my hubby would go in for that one either lol. I'm not sure what I'll do as my mum has quite bad anxiety problems so people going to her house would be a no-no. Perhaps have a big old family meal somewhere
